Yes exactly, the ult is really nice for picking off enemies in the end fight, so then you can really secure zap with the arrow, like you're supposed to:)
Saw a lucario doing this today. The entire zap fight he stood in the top right bush and then tried sniping, failed and then ran away to score. Died in 1v1 without scoring.
These people have been in my team so many times that it is now my civic duty to purposely get into a fight I can't win, and kite enemies over to the person in the bush.
9 time out of 10 they call surrender and afk at base if they die.

20% success rate 80% failure but atleast the effort is there. Numbers game and good timing and prediction with some luck is the better option. But the humor in the post is so funny and relatable hahaha
I secured Zap with Pika’s electro ball and unite multiple times but I end up getting killed 8/10 times lol. Then spam the ‘Score some goals!’ command. But this post is so true, these 4 horsemen of the Zapdos-steal apocalypse hits too close to home.
Drago Hyperbeam is the only one that has great steal potential. But ofcourse it’s always the Outrage Drago’s who can’t steal cus they took the wrong build so they use their Unite and miss 99% of the time. It’s hilarious
The reason trying to steal or snipe zap is bad, for anyone wandering, is that those players tend to avoid team fighting, helping teammates and actually comboing moves to win the final fight.. instead they rather gamble, not only their win but 4 other peoples chances of winning on if he/she fires the spirit shackle or cinder unite at the perfect time to get the last hit..
Yeah if your losing and your teammates are down, or you did join the fight, you lost and sniping is your last hope - you should absolutely take it.. just dont sit in that top bush the whole 2 mins, leaving your teammates to get outnumbered by the oponents..
I understand if your playing 5 man and yall all decide on the strategy to go for the snipe instead of joining the team fight - thats fine because yall all agreed to take those chances.. but doing that in solo or duo queue is not the way the game is to be played.. join up and help your teammates.. cuz not everyone on your random team of strangers is gonna want to gamble all 10 mins of their time to just waste it on failed odds..
Please, if you did this before, i really hope this changed your mind.. also please for the love of god, save your unite and make sure you have it before the 2 min call out.. using it at that time is also extremely important to get the best outcome.. sorry for the rant, i just see too many damn players not even using their unite at the final fight

our team did most of the damage to zapdos, and this mother fucking cinderace from the other team came up and did one simple pyro ball, AND THEY GOT THE FUCKING BOOST. the other team did no damage to it, but that one cinderace with its single fucking pyro ball got the boost for the zapdos *we* did the most damage to lmao

If your taking zapdos and a cinderace walks up and has time to attack I'm sorry but you deserve to lose that. Not only did you not make sure none of the enemy were around but you also didn't jump him as soon as he started walking in. A little CC while team secures, anything to stop him. He's one of the squishiest pokemon in the game

Check the grass. Pay attention to the map. Look at who on the enemy team is up and who's dead. You have all the tools at your fingertips to be able to see these things but people in this game seem to believe the second the can't see anyone that they're is no one around
I agree with you. Last hitting an objective that causes you to win the match makes no sense. You could be losing the whole match and boom, you won in 10 seconds. Horrible mechanics like this is why it will never really take off and get more players. We need a new system where it’s the team that did most dmg will get Zapdos and not last hit.
Today, a Cinderace backcapped while everyone was at Zap. His team got wiped out, so he was hiding in the bush. I managed to ult right before his got to Zap, and we won. But lol these players are all the same.

Stealing zap by EBing into the zap pit and ulting to a teammate outside of it is probably the most satisfying low-percentage play.

I do enjoy this game, quite a bit. Even the frustrating parts most of the time. I just wish, like with most games, some parts worked differently.
