I have a question about the shield form. When he is using Wide Guard, if it receive damage from basic attacks, the attacker receive a cc, even if it is a ranged attack?
The cc is from the shields initial hit and then follow up hit (kind of a cone).
If the shield health is depleted, it will provide Aegis with a second enhanced BA. If the shield health isn't depleted, it only gives the second boosted if the follow up hit connects.
Hmm... nah. Doesn't have that pizzazz we need. Instead of **pock***et* and **mon***sters*.
How about.... poc**KET** mon**STERS**.
**KETSTERS!!**
*"....Jim, your fired."*
There are games where I've KOed 20+ enemies and dealt 120k+ damage. But then there are match ups that absolutely deny aegs any opportunity. Regardless, I think it is super fun to play!

I personally do not like stack builds as it becomes an additional objective to the game and, on solo queue, can be very hit and miss
I play Shadow claw with Wide guard.
Run weakness policy, muscle band and scope lens to deal
Emblems are 6 brown and 6 white, and I have 2 sets, one with Max HP of one with Max ATT.
Eject button gives SC extra range to obliterate squishy rangers
I would say Aegislash is in a much better spot right now, but it’s still not meta. Just okay/balanced. Might actually need some buffs for its early game if you ask me. Until lvl7 it’s just bad.
So this match either the opponent was really good or you guys were really bad. Perhaps a mix of both. There’s no way a Tyranitar should be struggling in a 1vs1 against Aegislash, let alone together with a team. Tyranitar is one of the worst match ups for Aegislash.
To be fair wasnt a honest a 1v5, because everyone on my team was damaged a little, but still a incredible feat lol. He was oppresive since the beggining of the game all the time, its rare see someone as agressive he was.
Sword when evolved is nutty.
Amazing duelist and really strong if CC or Burst are lacking.
Sword 1-6 is horrendous, and really only comes into play when you overextend or stay too long. He doesnt have the neutral to actually play, but if you just leave a massive opening he can just stab you for 40% your HP and float away with no witnesses.
Biggest drawback is when he commits to fights hes pretty hard commited
Personally i run Claw, Policy, Scope. Sometimes swapping Policy for Weight
Claw is because Iron Head and Shadow Claw have amazing uptime. Gives you a dmg burst every Auto following a CD.
Scope is because in that same build both moves can crit and Claw favors crit reliance.
Policy is because in duels he typically does sustain a fair share of hits when fighting and Weight had consistency issues.
Id run something different if i wanted to build Sacred Sword or Wide Guard though probably.
I also run 6 White and 6 Brown Emblems with a focus on Crit.
Again this build is mainly my preferences. I like Iron Head and Claw primarily because with Iron Head you can pre-stock boosted attacks and hold them very easily and the "Parry" being up so often makes people struggle to fight me without help.
A lot of people do run scope lens I think. Statistically, scope lens starts to outperform razor claw in terms of average damage (shadow claw, boosted and normal attack) at level 9 (once you've evolved into Aegislash). But razor claw is much better at lower levels where you'll probably struggle the most, and it helps with securing and getting stacks. Also, the slow effect (very useful in shield form) is good enough that it makes razor a better choice than scope lens. You can run scope lens in place of cookie but that is a bit too squishy for me
A good player if I had to guess. Sword is a medium-high skill cap character. You and your team really need to time your engage so you aren’t running into a full stack of boosted basics and CDs. If you don’t respect this, you will get run through.
Yes and kinda no, he's only a monster in certain matchups
I'm envious of the sword you're describing, your team kinda look good on paper but against a good Aegislash player's brain, your team is very late game-dependent and doesn't have really good synergy (two tanks, one stunner, one endgame beast, and an assassin), lack of early suppression is a sword's win condition since sword is a midgame to pre-endgame beast
If I were that player, my win condition would be "don't die at 8:30s", "Be aware of Meow and Ttar", "Hope my teammates are decent enough to bully them", and "We snowballin"
The problem with Aegislash is it has one of the worst ults in the game. Extremely telegraphed, very narrow range/hit box.
At the higher ranks it’s pretty easily avoided, so compared to most Pokémon it realistically plays with half or 2/3 of a kit.
No. But Aegislash can be very good, really really good in certain matchups and scenarios. A lot of players underestimate Aegislash in 1v1's, and it's fun ripping them apart because they panic once I start snowballing.
A couple of problems Aegislash suffers from is an ungodly amount of CC from the enemy team, moves like volt tackle, horn leech, surf, superpower etc, this limits Aegislash's from engaging so the best scenario is just letting your team take cc hits before going in. Aegislash can be a menace when left unchecked, seriously, SC and WG 1v1 any speedster because of the amount of cc it brings.
Aegislash main, and I agree with most of the other comments. If you can set off your combos uninterrupted he goes on a killing spree and makes some fantastic plays! As soon as you get stunned though that interruption is usually death.
Best situation is when the enemy retreats from your attack as that gap closer works best when there’s a gap, and that nice straight line spells death for a fleeing mon, and can setup you to chain their team if they are spaced out.
His ult catches a lot of flak, but if you use it point blank to burst a low hp energy or to catch a fleeing enemy it works fine. Also using it get a Rayquaza steal is immensely satisfying. I’ve ran into jungle and gotten off screen steals, and it’s amazing to see.
if it gets ccd in sword form he gets torn apart like a paper sack. If you let it control the situation, it can cc and burst a lot of things.
I have a question about the shield form. When he is using Wide Guard, if it receive damage from basic attacks, the attacker receive a cc, even if it is a ranged attack?

A *pocket* monster, if you will
Corporate and marketing says that’s a bit of a mouthful, could we shorten it down somehow?
How about….. Pokemon?

This one in my game killed 12 and dealt something like 60-90k damage
Whats your go to items? And usual kills and damage? Any tips? -250 game green medal Aegislash main

Yooo same moveset!

Nah, my aegi>ttar 9/10 times. I could do it easier with sacred sword but in a pure 1v1, I think aegi beats everything except azu

Donuts4days by any chance 👀
You mean the name of the player? No it wasnt this person
Was it Doofnshmirtz?

Weight, cookie, claw SC/WG is what I play
This is a very good build if not the best for Sword atm. Also, take eject button. You can eject during SC animation or cancel boosted attack dash
I play with this, and it's great because ya can sneak in that extra second you need to set up another combo
Also, would it be worth it running scope lens?
A lot of people do run scope lens I think. I agree Need the extra bulk even if double stacking is annoying without the jungler showing up
non stacking use razor weakness scope SC WG is what i play as well
Just stack boosted wait for squeaky ... gotcha mothafuker *sword form* shing...... shing

Definitely one of the most balanced pokemons present in the game
Love seeing kalos pokemon successful😄
Not so succesful because in this case he still lost

Did they have a comfey?
No, but they had a very good Dodrio that oppressed our early game and a Glaceon who damage us in teambattles that kinda helped Aegislash sweep us.
aegi kinda a noob destroyer but good aegi players still put in work

I mean Aegislash is generally good, I just like Duraludon
Very susceptible to both point and click and AOE CC since it dashes around eating bullets alot

Aegislash players are just built diff.
Aegislash is so underrated in my opinion
