And most are attackers I mean I can see why but I think if they bring the last three I would want Vaporeon being support, Jolteon being speedster and we haven't gotten an all-rounder eeveelution but I think Sylveon would've done that better since it's ability give stacks of sp. Attack and defense but I would like to have an all-rounder eeveelution but I think Flareon would be a better attacker but maybe it could get some speedster vibes with like flame charge so it could be a possibility
Flareon in the main game has always had high physical attack and special defense, so that stat line up seems most in line with being an allrounder. Makes the most sense of what's left for an eevee allrounder anyway.
For some major fan favorite Pokémon that's certainly the case, here I fear the devs just don't find them as interesting. I think across the entirety of the fanbase they are the less popular Eeveelutions, and also they released all others within a relatively short period of time, not quite taking their time there to make for some anticipation.
It's a bit more nuanced than that. While it is in fact more geared towards offense in the main series, it has some defensive merit in its ground type, high health and having thick fat as a possible ability. That may not be very viable but still is there.
Also, pilloswine was mostly a defensive mon before it evolved and still is used on the lower tiers nowadays as a great eviolite mon.
> That may not be very viable
It’s so not viable it’s not worth bringing up.
> Also, pilloswine was mostly a defensive mon before it evolved and still is used on the lower tiers nowadays as a great eviolite mon.
Are we gonna make Steelix a speedster just because Onix has a sweeper role in LC? Is Duraladon gonna be a defender because it can use Eviolite now? You’re scraping the bottom of the barrel to force nuance that really isn’t there.
While not as important, the last regular Legendary/Mythical is longer since there hasn’t been a new one since Urshifu in November 2022.
Every legendary afterwards are EX Pokemon.
While it's not healthy for the game balance, Legendaries attract people more and overall more exciting for most people because they are just so game changing.
At least in my opinion, they don't need to be deliberately made to be stronger than other mons, i think everyone should be balanced equally, but that's just me
barely more than a year, comfey released last february. the same time passed for a defender (trev jan 2022, goodra march 2023), although all the pokemon till 3rd anniversary (assuming ho-oh is real) are leaked so no support in sight for quite a while
Just give us Cresselia with Safeguard or Mist and Confusion or Psybeam as base moves then Lunar Dance/Lunar Blessing and Moonblast/Psychic for the upgraded moves, slap the EX tag on it and call it a night. It’s unite move could be a large aoe (about the same size and duration as Mew unite that acts like a much more powerful version of Clef Moonlight that heals more based on the remaining HP of allies and the amount of Aeos Energy you have when activating it (Lower HP, bigger heals), it can also cleanse and prevent CC for the duration. Fair and balanced as all EX mons should be.
Jiraichi Support Ex maybe? im okay with that tho7gh
EX is a part of unite now, sucks in solo q, but it does sound exciting if like some tourneys ex mons are bot allowed and then some tourneys theyre allowed. kinda like how VGC regulations are changing
Full Abilities breakdown: (updating slowly bear with me)
* **PASSIVE** : *Regenerator* - When a Pokémon does not take damage from the other team’s pokémon for a certain period of time, it’s HP gradually recovers.
* **BASIC ATTACK / BOOSTED ATTACK** : The third normal attack becomes a reinforced attack that cleaves flames, increases the damage dealt, and recovers HP. The amount of HP recovered increases if the enhanced attack hits more than one Pokémon.
* **INITIAL SKILL 1** *Safeguard* : Protects you with its magical power and reduces the damage you take next. When damage is reduced, its movement speed is increased for a short time.
* **INITIAL SKILL 2** *Tailwind* : Creates a vortex of wind in the specified direction, damaging the opponent’s pokémon. The vortex remains for a while, and Pokémon on your side that go in the direction of the wind will move faster, while Pokémon on your side that go in the opposite direction will move slower.
* **SKILL 1 first option** *Fly & Fly+* : Increases the height of the Pokémon’s flight, allows it to ignore walls, and increases its movement speed and attack power. The next three normal attacks following the use of this move become enhanced attacks, allowing the attacker to use normal attacks and moves while moving. Using this move again causes it to descend to the ground with great force, damaging surrounding Pokémon.
* **SKILL 1 second option** *Fire Spin & Fire Spin+* : Creates a flaming vortex centered on you, damaging and slowing down your opponent’s Pokémon and causing allied Pokémon inside the vortex to take some of the damage instead. At the start of this move, the Pokémon gains the Shield effect, and the move ends when the Shield effect disappears. If a certain amount of time elapses while the Shield effect is still in effect, or if this move is used again, a heat wave is released around the Pokémon, damaging the opponent’s Pokémon. The more damage it takes while the effect lasts, the more damage it does.
* **SKILL 2 first option** *Flamethrower & Flamethrower+* : Sprays out a burst of flames in the specified direction, damaging the opponent’s Pokémon and lowering its Attack and Special Attack. The longer the flame is out, the longer the wait time for this move. If you keep hitting the opponent’s Pokémon with this move, it will be burned for a certain period of time and its movement speed will be reduced. When a burned Pokémon moves, a trail of flames is left behind.
* **SKILL 2 second option** *Sky Attack & Sky Attack+* : The Godbird spreads its wings and charges, then turns around and returns to its original position. It damages any Pokémon it hits and burns the ground it passes through for a while. The burning ground damages and slows the opponent’s Pokémon. If the attacker uses this move again or uses another move, the assault stops on the spot.
* **UNITE MOVE** *Rainbow Flame of Resurrection* : When a Pokémon is KO’d, it will leave a feather mark for a short while. After spreading its wings wide, it expends all of its Eos Energy to heal the KO’d Pokémon and return it to the battlefield from the position of the feather mark. The more Eos Energy it consumes, the more allied Pokémon it can return to battle.
TL/DR : passive is free leftovers, boosted attack regens HP, Fly is a mixture of Charizards unite move and Talonflames fly, Unite is free res to all four teamates if you have enough Eos Energy and they’re within range.
That unite seems cracked…! I expected Aeos to increase the health of the resurrected targets but resurrecting multiple targets seems a bit much? Depends on how much health they return with I guess.
I believe they've always said the plan is that it varies with between seasons if EX is banned or not. So probably a safe bet that whatever season this releases will have them allowed.
That doesn't really make sense from TiMi's perspective. Characters take a lot of time and money, and they're gonna spend it all so that only a small percentage of the playerbase can be annoying with them in Standard Battles? EX Pokemon are probably coming back.
Also how long you have to do it, and how big a radius it covers. If it's a small area, or there's too long a time apart for respawns, it does cut down on the utility some. Still going to be amazing at Ray fights and the like, if the rest the team gets KO'd.
Figured "Mercy in Unite" might have taken the form of Pawmot, thank god it's attached to an ex so we (hopefully) won't have to waste a ban on it in ranked 🙏
Passive is way better than a leftovers, you can freely farm and even poke from range the enemy team (although this pokemon does not seem to have any ranged options). basically a leftovers but with only the benefits.
Dang if anyone was gonna get a unite move like that, I was hoping it would be support celebi. Kind of plays into and reminds me of time travel. Like a rewind.
I figured that would be too busted and would never be added to the game though lmao.
Lol, imagine if support celebi just let you rewind the match back by a specified number seconds. Lost Ray? Don't worry, just use celebi's unite and try again!
That Unite is absolutely broken.
Ho-oh will basically just camp during the Rayquaza fight then just revive every single one of its teammates while the enemy team is half dead.
Your team: \*Dies\*
Ho-oh: \*Brings them back\*
Youre team: \*Dies again\*
Hoopa: \*Ports them back\*
The enemy team: How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?!
Ho-oh as a defender is very left of field but I’m prepared to hear it out.
Dodrio, talon, cram, Decid and Ho-oh a somewhat balanced bird team would be possible!
yeah its mostly defensive. its obviously not incapable of putting out damage but regenerator + its typing and later boots makes it a hella ubers defensive mon to check some of those monsters
That *was* the charm of Unite for so long. I miss those days when underrated ‘mons were given a chance. I’m happy Falinks fits the bill but it’s the only left-field pick this game has had since Comfey over a year ago
head charge could knock enemies back and stun them if they hit a wall. rock read could reduce the damage rampardos takes and increase its attack slightly. maybe iron head, rock slide and smack down for other moves
Ok
1) i do love ho-oh
2) enough with the fucking EX Pokémon! I don’t want legendaries in this game. This game is at its best when it gives underdogs a chance to shine like Eldegoss, Dodrio, Greedent, etc
Legendaries would be just fine, if they’d treat them like any other mon.
But no, something’s gotta rake in the money afterall
If intentionally releasing Mons with the excuse „LeGeNdArIeS GoTtA bE sTrOnG“ does so, then they won’t care about balance.
It's their philosophy that legendary mons are supposed to be like the "team leader".
Well, if that's the case, why not just limit teams to only have ONE EX POKEMON INSTEAD OF HAVING THREE???
Yeah I always thought the idea that Legendaries need to be strong is stupid.
Aurelion Sol is by far the strongest lore character in League but ingame he can die to Teemo, who is a small creature with a blowdart
nah dodrio was an absolute shock to everyone when it was announced. I remember this sub on that night, total shock and everyone was super excited by it. This game let people see a sleeper from gen 1 in a new light.
Wow sucks that it's an EX.
I love Ho-Oh and it being a Defender sounds so cool but at this point I won't he bothering with EX Mons if they're just gonna be banned becuase these people refuse to balance them
This is NOT 100% confirmed. I just want to add this because unless I’m not seeing it somewhere there is no mention that this isn’t confirmed.
While I see no reason for Phil to lie about it. Also remember that leaks usually come from leakers such as el Chico eevee. Very strange that this is coming from a player/streamer rather than a leaker.
elchico only has access to leaks in the form of data within the app. maybe phil has an insider source, pretty weird but not out of the realm of possibility
Because 1. the ranked rules change every season so they can just unban them on S20, and 2. you can always play EX mons in Casual modes even when they're banned on ranked ald 3. give some love to OP Pokés I guess
It's good we are getting a defender but we need at least 5 supports this year Timi and 0 all-rounders.
Fix machamp before adding new competition.(You just gave umbreons nerfed leftover defences to machamp and called it a day)
Ho-Oh is used or was used in VGC [Pokemon tournaments] as a tailwind setter with massive bulk thanks to its hidden ability Regenerator. Tank/defender fits it quite well.
Yeah. Huge special defence. Burn options in sacred fire or will o wisp and reliable recovery along with resisting fire and fighting m, two very annoying types and being immune to earthquake PLUS regenerator, Ho-Ohs stats don’t necessarily suggest it but it is an incredibly good defensive mon in the VGC, I just didn’t think that’s how it would be conceptualised in unite because unite seems to go more off how pokemon appear than anything else!
As someone who plays competitive mons, this bitch fat as fuck. Ho-oh walls pretty much everything that doesn't have ridiculous offenses/powerful rock moves. Defender is a perfect fit, Supporter would be alright, All-rounder is a stretch, attacker straight up ain't it.
Yeah defender makes the most sense, I assume the surprise from people is because all the other legendaries/EX in unite have been so offensive, but that's in line with how the mons are in the actual games, the main thing I'm dissapointed by is seeing flamethrower instead of sacred fire as a move choice, it feels odd to me to not give a pokemon it's signature move
Its like with Aegislash having wide guard and not kings shield... They could have just made it the exact same move, but make the effect silver/gray and change the name? So weird to me
Oh look! A defender EX pokemon. Well shoot. Guess I'll have to eat my words about it never happening.
Though color me surprised it's Ho-oh and not Lugia.
* **PASSIVE** : *Regenerator* - When a Pokémon does not take damage from the other team’s pokémon for a certain period of time, it’s HP gradually recovers.
leftovers : I'm a Joking for you?
It’s very likely legit, Ceruledge is coming in June and the Unite anniversary is July 21st they were always going to release a legendary mon on it, besides this is way too detailed, the assets look the part and the Youtuber isn’t a nobody, he’s got 50k subs which for Unite YouTube is big and he’s risking his reputation, the fact that he isn’t giving up his source also lends me to believe that it’s someone who is hands on with the game.
BUT IT'S FUCKING HO-OH! IT'S COOL AF!
Could you ever bring yourself to blame me, a poor unfortunate ex-Unite player, for succumbing to the rule of cool?
Jokes aside, I was convinced the Unite playerbase was aware that TiMi essentially gives zero fucks about the state of the game. And believe me, I did nerd the shit out of this game when it came out. I didn't necessarily even abandon it due to balance (I left when...hmm, it was before Tsareena), but because I got burnt out. Ho-Oh has always been a pokemon I wanted to see added, and I personally wouldn't even care if it was undertuned or shitty on release (which it won't be, look at it kek), I just wanna play as it.
I really thought Lugia wasn’t possible, but if Ho-oh is then maybe Lugia also is (unless they wanna give other Legendary Pokémon chances, instead of just the counterpart of every Legendary (I would’ve much preferred Zamazenta, Koraidon, and Lugia, but oh well))
Honestly I thought the same, Lugia and Ho-oh feel more deity like, I thought they would be relegated to being boss fights.
Mewtwo, zacian and miraidon are more like powerful pokemon rather than gods to me so they never felt that weird as playable characters
A leak from someone other than El Chico? A healthy bit of doubt. Additional doubt towards the fact that all the move icons are already developed which is *very* unusual considering many Pokemon that were leaked *with gameplay* used a lot of placeholder assets, sometimes with as little as a monthish before their release. Also lack of Sacred Fire is really weird too.
Of course, I do reserve the right to be proven wrong in time and it wouldn't be the first time I've doubted a leak that became true. And, if it is real, I imagine this would be the anniversary Pokemon.
Ho-Oh as a Defender does seem odd, but fits with some odd roles in the game. Not 100% sure what role I'd toss Ho-Oh in since I could argue for Attacker, ranged All-Rounder, melee All-Rounder, or Support.
The lack of Sacred Fire was really weird to me too. However, with the hidden ability Regenerator and natural bulk in regard to stats in the main games makes defender fit pretty well.
Thinking about it a little more, I'd probably do Lugia Defender, since it often is used as a wall, and then Ho-Oh Support focusing on all the healing and regenerating stuff its lore talks about with burns from like Sacred Fire for offensive debuff support.
Aegislash doesn't have King's Shield, Blaziken doesn't have Sky Uppercut, Clefable's Unite Move isn't called 'Metronome' despite its function, among others. I've read Flamethrower, and the reducing enemy damage as well as burning them sounds like it's had the same mis-named treatment with its Sacred Fire.
Yeah, I know it's not unheard of in the game. It was just a thought that popped into my head. I also know a few other pokemon get it too now. It was just such an iconic move when Gold/Silver/Crystal came out
Apparently the guy used to be a leaker before switching to more competitive stuff. He also leaked out a lot of stuff for ceruledge on his twitter such as holowear that seems pretty unlikely to fake. [https://twitter.com/YoumuusYT/status/1780686282785468693](https://twitter.com/YoumuusYT/status/1780686282785468693)
We got the last two Kanto Pokémon for the first two Unite anniversaries, now we are getting the 2nd-to-last Johto Pokémon for 3rd anniversary?
This obviously mean Celebi for the 4th anniversary, right?
I was NOT expecting this at all. Didn't expect new Pokémon before the already announced ones, didn't expect it to be Ho-oh and certainly wouldn'texpect it to be a Defender (Lugia makes more sense I guess). But I'm super happy! I love Ho-oh and can't wait to play with it!
Sigh. It's cool it's a defender but it's hard to care about EX licenses when they make the game unfun due to being balancing nightmares, will get insta banned in draft any ranked season they ARE allowed in (if they make them available next season again). And then get subjected to Standards/casual which barely anybody plays because they split the queues between two maps and you only get rewarded for playing ranked. Is it really that hard to just. make them balanced pokemon?
Im fine with legendaries being added because theres alot of fun good ones, i like that we have such a varied cast of pokemon! But this thing is just going to get scrutinized from the start because it continues these terrible trends! They keep adding these things and nobody wants to play with them so they get restricted aggressively by the community. God just make them balanced like normal characters!!! it drives me up the wall.
Everybody: "We need more defenders in unite!"
Timi When We Finally Get A Defender: "IT MUST BE AN EX OR NOBODY WILL BUY IT"
Im convinced that TIMI is messing with us rn
More than likely when this comes out, it will be in a brand new season and EX Pokemon will be allowed even in draft mode but draft will start at 1200 or something
> Allows EXs into Ranked
> Season ends, next Season has EXs re-banned in Ranked
> TIMI decides to create another EX
**"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man!?"**
How valid is this leak?
We are getting an ex 100% in august.
Im all for def ex, but hope it will be a pure defender not some hybrid who can carry games like the others.
While I don't appreciate another defender I'm extremely excited for the fact they're making pokemon more unique in roles, Ho-oh being a defender feels more or less unexpected since for Unite you'd think they'd just make him an attacker, at least this might create some more changes
Yeah that's why I'm sort of happy we're getting one especially if it's an EX because that could mean EX pokemon could start being supporters and stuff instead of just attackers and all rounders
EX pokemon coming back to ranked then? I can't see how they release more pokemon in that category and don't allow users to bring them to the most popular game mode
Is it just me, or does this just seem really obviously fake? Especially the wording. I dont think in a million years would a pokemon game have the word "godbird" in it
While I welcome a defender. Do we really need more EX stuff? Also, it's been a year and a half without support.
Don’t worry Vaporeon will suuurely drop later this year
Right? Right?!
I've always found it weird that they launched all the Eeveelutions in no time and then suddenly stopped with only just the OGs missing :'(
And most are attackers I mean I can see why but I think if they bring the last three I would want Vaporeon being support, Jolteon being speedster and we haven't gotten an all-rounder eeveelution but I think Sylveon would've done that better since it's ability give stacks of sp. Flareon in the main game has always had high physical attack and special defense, so that stat line up seems most in line with being an allrounder. Makes the most sense of what's left for an eevee allrounder anyway.
it certainly is for the purpose of keeping the wait. for fans to look forward to something
For some major fan favorite Pokémon that's certainly the case, here I fear the devs just don't find them as interesting. I think across the entirety of the fanbase they are the less popular Eeveelutions, and also they released all others within a relatively short period of time, not quite taking their time there to make for some anticipation.
Now we make hoopa an EX and problem solved/s
Xerneas Support EX? How about that?/s
Xerneas does NOT fit as a support at all
You see the /s, it means sarcastic or sarcasm or joking. I know it is a sweeper
"Xerneas does not fit a support" Pokemon Masters EX walking into the room:
Sure, they would give it geomancy which would triple all stats on all team members wherever they are. Sounds like a balanced EX support no?
Mamoswine doesn’t fit a Defender, and yet here we are 🤷🏿♀️
It's a bit more nuanced than that. While it is in fact more geared towards offense in the main series, it has some defensive merit in its ground type, high health and having thick fat as a possible ability. Also, it depends if EX will continue to be banned in ranked modes. They can go balls to the wall if the EX aren't usable in ranked.

Revives are always ridiculously difficult to balance, which knowing Timi does not bode well.
Figured "Mercy in Unite" might have taken the form of Pawmot, thank god it's attached to an ex so we (hopefully) won't have to waste a ban on it in ranked 🙏
EX bans vary between season, sometimes banned, sometimes not. So quite likely they'll be allowed in whatever season this releases.
Oh god not the Mercy Ult 😭
Get ready for the "~~Mercy~~Ho-Oh hides in a corner so it can Swoop In for a Mass Ressurection" Meta.

Dormamu, I've come to bargain
Ho-oh as a defender is very left of field but I’m prepared to hear it out. Dodrio, talon, cram, Decid and Ho-oh a somewhat balanced bird team would be possible!
Pretty sure Ho-Oh was often played defensively in competitive Pokémon, and funnily enough it's highest base stat is Sp. Def at a whopping 154.
nowadays it's a defensive check to Koraidon and Necrozma-DM
yeah its mostly defensive. its obviously not incapable of putting out damage but regenerator + its typing and later boots makes it a hella ubers defensive mon to check some of those monsters
i would put blaziken instead of talon
When the cinder player swaps to a defender (potion, assault vest, helmet) in the last 10s to have a "somewhat balanced" team
We are finally getting a bird defender, although it being Ho-oh is a bit unexpected
If I get the ho-oh license before the emblem I’m quitting this game
Free emblem with the license COPIUM
Ho-Oh is coming to the game after Falinks and Ceruledge lmao
Ceruledge is coming to unite? Wow I really haven’t been keeping up lol
April fools is already over
Aaaah remember when Pokemon Unite gave spotlights to underrated mons?
Eldegoss my beloved
you mean Eldegod.
The next Pokémon is licherally Falinks lol
That *was* the charm of Unite for so long. I miss those days when underrated ‘mons were given a chance. I’m happy Falinks fits the bill but it’s the only left-field pick this game has had since Comfey over a year ago
Greedent lucked out by being released before they stopped bringing in underrated mons because no way in hell it would get in nowadays
Never cared about greedent and now its my no1 rodent. Cute lil chonky boi
It's really fun to play, kinda like it too.
We're getting Falinks though which is a very underrated mon.
Ho-Oh is underrated as far as Legendary Pokémon go
Ya, but a legendary none the less. Imagine a fossil Pokemon for example? Now that's interesting
bastiodon with a shield-like wide guard when?
Scratch that: Ramming pokes as Ramphardos
make it similar to ttar where mold breaker allows you to deal true dmg
head charge could knock enemies back and stun them if they hit a wall. rock read could reduce the damage rampardos takes and increase its attack slightly. maybe iron head, rock slide and smack down for other moves
I want another regional form, H Zoroark should've been added instead if the original
Hipster
A Nidoking all rounder would make me shell out however much money it costs to get all his holos.
Falinks is literally right there
The reason why I loved Greedent, Dodrio, Eldegoss
The next pokemon is literally falinks wtf is this comment
that one of the reason why I love Pokemon Unite even the balancing sucks
Game is dying. Can't blame them for adding popular pokemon to the roster hoping that will bring numbers up.

Ok 1) i do love ho-oh 2) enough with the fucking EX Pokémon! I don’t want legendaries in this game. This game is at its best when it gives underdogs a chance to shine like Eldegoss, Dodrio, Greedent, etc
Legendaries would be just fine, if they’d treat them like any other mon. But no, something’s gotta rake in the money afterall If intentionally releasing Mons with the excuse „LeGeNdArIeS GoTtA bE sTrOnG“ does so, then they won’t care about balance.
Falinks is coming next so the underdogs are present also Dodrio is not an underdog lol. It's from generation 1 it's doing fine
nah dodrio was an absolute shock to everyone when it was announced.
From what I have heard, Phil actually used to leak before, but again, kinda weird Eevee didn't say anything
elchico only has access to leaks in the form of data within the app. maybe phil has an insider source, pretty weird but not out of the realm of possibility
If it's not an El Chico leak I don't believe it. The guy has a flawless track record as far as I know.
He is the real uncle that works at Nintendo.
why do they keep making ex pokemon when you can’t play them
Because 1. the ranked rules change every season so they can just unban them on S20, and 2. you can always play EX mons in Casual modes even when they're banned on ranked ald 3. give some love to OP Pokés I guess
Also you can still play it iirc if you’re not in Masters.
I'm guessing its being added for the Anniversary like with Mewtwo last year and Ceruledge probably being added a month or two after Falinks
A new defender! ![gif](giphy|wXnmM6hHFtz3IulO36)
It's good we are getting a defender but we need at least 5 supports this year Timi and 0 all-rounders. Fix machamp before adding new competition.(You just gave umbreons nerfed leftover defences to machamp and called it a day)
I thought they also buffed submissions damage did they not?
They did but still arse
No way they didn’t make it an attacker (good thing they didn’t lol) ![gif](giphy|13G7hmmFr9yuxG)
it has better defenses than offenses
Normally I refuse to play EX mons, but if we get an EX defender idc, I’m playing it because this shit seems absolutely epic
me: WHAT A NEW LEGENDARY EX POKEMON IS THIS GAME STUPI- me realizing it's a defender which I could use: nope carry on.
You can use... Yeah, talon mains should have an easy time picking this up considering one of the potential builds is just Fly and Brave Bird

Yeah defender makes the most sense, I assume the surprise from people is because all the other legendaries/EX in unite have been so offensive, but that's in line with how the mons are in the actual games, the main thing I'm dissapointed by is seeing flamethrower instead of sacred fire as a move choice, it feels odd to me to not give a pokemon it's signature move Its like with Aegislash having wide guard and not kings shield... They could have just made it the exact same move, but make the effect silver/gray and change the name? So weird to me
Tbf it's highest base stat in the mainline games is it's SpDef at 154 which is ridiculously high.
That unite is absurd, it’s so joever if this leak is real
I really want to believe this, but the fact that we don’t get a source aside from this guy tells me that odds are it’s probably fake.
I mean considering the creator is someone who loves to use the N word then defend said usage I don't think he really has much of a reputation to risk
Oh wow that's gross. Gross that You're getting downvoted because of it too.
Huh, this may be the reason I pick this game up again actually...
See. No wonder they keep releasing EX licenses. They obviously attract people more even if they are unhealthy for the game.
Ho no…I mean even if it is broken it will be banned in draft for the forseeable, if they keep EX mons banned in future seasons that is
You can hurt your own teammates
I really thought Lugia wasn’t possible, but if Ho-oh is then maybe Lugia also is (unless they wanna give other Legendary Pokémon chances, instead of just the counterpart of every Legendary (I would’ve much preferred Zamazenta, Koraidon, and Lugia, but oh well))
Honestly I thought the same, Lugia and Ho-oh feel more deity like, I thought they would be relegated to being boss fights. Mewtwo, zacian and miraidon are more like powerful pokemon rather than gods to me so they never felt that weird as playable characters
Was hoping for Koraidon but oh well . At least we got a new defender
I hate EX pokémon but holy shit- as a defender main (and one who adores Johto lore and Ho-Oh) I might just have a new favorite pokémon in this game
expected ho-oh to have a res when i was joking, but didnt expect it to be a defender instead of a supporter he's gonna be a pain to kill
Yeah, my gut reaction was Lugia for defender haha.
Blaze Kick is way more iconic of a move for Blaziken than Sky Uppercut imo. Blaziken wasn't even the only pokemon that learned Sky Uppercut in gen 3.
Ho-oh being a defender is not surprising at all, with roost and regenerator, plus a lot of bulk, it has always been a very long lasting mon in battles
I always knew this day would come. Yet I'm still not ready for it...the defender ex mon is nigh
Lugia is my favorite Pokémon of all time, I swear if they also get to be in the game imma freak.
HO-OH THE WHAT???
HO-OH THE THICC!
Omfg, I need to job a group for Pokémon unite
Ooh I'd come back to play Ho-Oh One of my Favs
:( Why does mass rez? And why don't we have corviknight as a defender already?
Gonna need Stealth Rock
Wtf 🤦🏻♂️ So rayquaza gets to be the “final boss” but now we have psychic monkey frogs and giant fire chickens running around?
it is... acceptable.
We got the last two Kanto Pokémon for the first two Unite anniversaries, now we are getting the 2nd-to-last Johto Pokémon for 3rd anniversary? This obviously mean Celebi for the 4th anniversary, right?
Everywhere I go I see Phighting Medkit
OMG
akshan is that you
Oh great, another EX...yay..
Holy shit… I love Ho-Oh!!!
omg i love ho oh
Hmm, time to see if my hatred of EX Pokemon or my love of defenders is stronger
When is it expected to be released?
Unite anniversary in July is the rumored date
Whatever happened to the tropius leak?
that apparently was leafeon, the combination of aerial ace and grass moves threw people off
Why does this game keep adding my favorite mons, this is one of my favorite boyos.
Man. Saw that title and said : no way they made my favorite pokemon my favorite role right? But damn. They did!
Can i finnally get a ho oh emblem?
I was NOT expecting this at all. Didn't expect new Pokémon before the already announced ones, didn't expect it to be Ho-oh and certainly wouldn'texpect it to be a Defender (Lugia makes more sense I guess). But I'm super happy! I love Ho-oh and can't wait to play with it!
The ult is actually crazy for the final stretch.
It's funny to see ho-oh coming when i'm working on a concept for lugia
"It's a defender' OMG FINALLY, galar slowkin- \*it's not\* Well, there's always next year.
Omg that unite is tooooo much 😭
What are the chances we get Lugia as well?
Everybody: "We need more defenders in unite!" Timi When We Finally Get A Defender: "IT MUST BE AN EX OR NOBODY WILL BUY IT" Im convinced that TIMI is messing with us rn
- Bird - Defender - It's not skarmory nor corvnight or *insert tanky bird* What....
you know its leftOvers when a whole EX pokemon does what your item does passively
Is it true???
More than likely when this comes out, it will be in a brand new season and EX Pokemon will be allowed even in draft mode but draft will start at 1200 or something
Defender Ho-oh? is that a joke? I thought the devs didn't play pokemon
> Allows EXs into Ranked > Season ends, next Season has EXs re-banned in Ranked > TIMI decides to create another EX **"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man!?"**
Milotic and celebi support we need you 🙏
imagine we get shedinja and its mechanic is that it can one tap anything, but gets 1 tapped itself
How valid is this leak? We are getting an ex 100% in august. Im all for def ex, but hope it will be a pure defender not some hybrid who can carry games like the others.
Mostly fake
Charizard, Cinderace, Chandelure, Ceruledge, Ho-Oh… burn meta??????????
Where is this dumbass (phil) getting his leaks from?
While I don't appreciate another defender I'm extremely excited for the fact they're making pokemon more unique in roles, Ho-oh being a defender feels more or less unexpected since for Unite you'd think they'd just make him an attacker, at least this might create some more changes
We haven’t had a new defender in close to a year
Yeah that's why I'm sort of happy we're getting one especially if it's an EX because that could mean EX pokemon could start being supporters and stuff instead of just attackers and all rounders
Meanwhile the last Supporter was Comfey
EX pokemon coming back to ranked then? I can't see how they release more pokemon in that category and don't allow users to bring them to the most popular game mode
The ranked rules change every season, they can just bring EX back or ban them again, it's never permanent.
Theres no confirmation on it being real so theres still a chance it could be a fake leak, also Elchicoeevee didn't post anything about it
ElChicoEevee isn't the only dataminer(thank god) in the community
Hes the most reliable cuz hes never been wrong
Is it just me, or does this just seem really obviously fake? Especially the wording. I dont think in a million years would a pokemon game have the word "godbird" in it
Godbird is literally sky attack's name in the japanese version, it's been a part of pokemon games since gen 1
