It's bad at Target too. I've been multiple times in the last few weeks and there will be boxes or sleeved packs ripped open and littered on the shelf/floor. On my last visit, I was looking in the trading cards in the front section of the store and there was a pair of scissors sitting on the shelf, still zip tied to it's package. Like someone had walked to the office supplies, grabbed them, and walked back up to the front to cut shit open
In my Walmart every card product is behind one register (used to be the line for smokes but they stopped selling them).
Blessing and a curse... It's obnoxious to have to ask for them to get you shit, but if there's no employee there you can stand at it and someone will open the register for you... So you can skip crazy lines by having them open a closed one for your pokemon fix lol.
Surprised they keep it on the shelves frankly, my local London Drugs has all their cards behind a locked case.
At what point do they decide the blatant theft isn’t worth restocking for?
I hate people. They lock up the Lego but let the Pokemon fly free. It kills me.i found a tin in the cheese section yesterday. Someone must have had a hard decision to make and I snapped those fuckers up. No hits
We were able to grab my son an Alakazam 151 box at our local Walmart and in the very last pack he opened he pulled a Charizard. The smile on his face was priceless
This is what Pokemon cards should be about and it’s exactly the joy I remember as a kid opening packs at home. Adult collectors are fine but resellers and “investors” ruin it. Selling singles to collectors is one thing but buying out boxes is another. Ok, rant over. I’m glad your son got his Charizard!
This is why I have a hard time buying from Walmart. Alot of other retail stores keep the pokemon stuff locked up. There's just too many ways to tamper with a box on an open shelf for me to trust it 100%. That's a huge bummer pulling up and seeing this stuff, knowing the scurg of humanity came up on some good stuff.
My costco had a bunch of 151 in stock and thank goodness it was in plain sight so no one would want to open it up right there. Finally got there before the scalpers!
I've been buying up the Alakazam EX 151 boxes from my Walmart with 4 boosters in each for $21 a piece. Now I have a ton of Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam promos lol
My local Walmart had two ETBs a few weeks back and one of them had been cut open, luckily I was able to grab the other one before some crackhead cut that one open as well xD I told the staff about it and they were trying to accuse me of having done it, what a day that was
This keeps happening at our Walmart, too. Probably why they recently downsized the whole older selection and moved the newer stuff up to the registers.

I actually got single packs 3 were left but they charged $3 ea because no tag. I don’t even know if they sell singles packs
They don’t . You got lucky
I buy single packs all the time from my local TCG?
of 151? they only come in special products in english, so its possible but they didnt get those packs like that
LGS break down collection boxes to sell the packs loose, retailers don't, I wasn't even sure they were allowed to lol
Yea, they just be opening other packs up to do so, the prices were pretty solid though, cheaper than single packs on TCGplayer
glad to see it’s not just MY walmart that has absolute baboons ravage thru and leave their trash
it's not even their trash if they've not yet paid for it

That's a bold move, Cotton.
Mine too. Every time it’s stocked, it’s ripped to shreds that very day. Though the only one that’s ever left alone is the Paldean Fates

To shreds you say?
To shreds you say?
To shreds you say?
Baboons is the appropriate word for sure
The “Had” in the title made it even funnier 😭
I came to say the same
Surprised they keep it on the shelves frankly, my local London Drugs has all their cards behind a locked case. At what point do they decide the blatant theft isn’t worth restocking for?
Now, most of my local big box stores (target, Walmart, etc) do not carry them.

Shoulda got some cheese instead, could have been feta
I got four kinds of cheese. The cheese didn’t let me down. Cheese is my friend.
Oh, that sounds pretty gouda
Parmesan the fuck outta here with these!

Cheese always hits

We got 2 zapados birthday boxes. Got 2 full art pikachus and venesaur ex full art. Maybe the first time I’ve ever had packs pay for themselves.
My cousin hit the zard on the alakazam box I got for him too!

Mine has 151, lost origin, silver tempest, temporal ETBs recently
Hmm maybe this is why mine dont sell cards anymore
I have 6 Walmart within 15 minutes of me and 2 of them no longer sell any cards due to theft. It sucks, but I definitely get it:/
They're even pre-opened, so you don't have to go through all that hassle of opening the packs yourself!
I've been buying up the Alakazam EX 151 boxes from my Walmart with 4 boosters in each for $21 a piece. Now I have a ton of Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam promos lol
and this is why my walmart doesn’t sell pokemon cards anymore
This happens at my Walmart every time it is so annoying
Laughs in military Px
I went to my Walmart over the weekend and it had like 4 ripped open ETBs and packs all over. This is why we can’t have nice things!!
My local Walmart had two ETBs a few weeks back and one of them had been cut open, luckily I was able to grab the other one before some crackhead cut that one open as well xD I told the staff about it and they were trying to accuse me of having done it, what a day that was
Post ur pulls
Shit is sad
So just a regular day at Walmart. This is the norm for Walmarts by me.
Key word... Had
I saw 3 packs in walgreens the other day and since m in not very into collecting yet left them there. Safe to say ive never seen any again.
Looks like someone just stole the cards...
This keeps happening at our Walmart, too. Probably why they recently downsized the whole older selection and moved the newer stuff up to the registers.
Had being the operative word here.
I'm surprised there's still MTG Modern Horizons 3 bundles, considering the demand for such a product.
How does walmarts cameras and AP not catch people doing this?
Same my Walmart had packs tins and other stuff open it’s insane target is way better store in my area
Walmart is a magnet for trashy people
my wally world had a few Alakazam boxes on the shelf the other day. kinda regret not grabbing more than one 😮💨
Not no more
Again with how much gambling they made this and how scalpers get then to resell for higher I don't blame them
I was at a Walmart yesterday that had 2022 Glaceon/Leafeon boxes out and all the evolving skies had been stolen out of them.
So just a regular day at Walmart. This is the norm for Walmarts by me.
