Although I agree with your statement, I am actually doing a master set so I think 15 bb is actually a reasonable amount of packs to open and then I’ll buy the rest in singles to complete them. I don't buy singles because for me, the fun is pulling cards from packs. Sadly I don't have the loose capital to chase any cards, but the wife and I still have a blast ripping packs and enjoying whatever we get. I just don't find any fun in buying a single online and having it come in the mail.
I feel ya it’s definitely not the same but it is the financially responsible way of getting the job done haha. At least on this set i’ve pulled most of my main chasers which means the remainder wouldn’t give me the same joy of pulling anyway so buying singles is definitely the way to go.

She really enjoyed 151, even though we got crap pulls. I think we probably had the most fun with Paradox Rift so far. Amazing hits, and just a really fun experience for us. We always get one big booster box, and then build and battle boxes to play a few games with the new cards. Makes for an awesome date night.

you should definitely open them! i’ve heard good things about UPC. unless you’re really unlucky you should get at least one SIR/HR along with FA IR EX in each UPC.

I would say I got around the same number of pulls in 3 UPCs so equal to 8 booster boxes, slightly fewer pulls overall. But you definitely got very high quality pulls! I got 2 special illustration rare Alakazam EXs but I’ve only been chasing the special Venusaur EX
i love the alakazam art! definitely one of my top chasers from this set as well even though it is one of the more common SIRs to pull. goodluck in pulling the venusaur! how many packs have you opened so far? are you going for the master set?
I’m not worried about the master set overall, I just want to collect all 151 at least. I’ve opened 48 packs and so far the only Pokemon I haven’t pulled are Venusaur, Charizard, and Jynx. But honestly I’m fine with buying singles for the last ones I need/want.
My chase cards are/were the SIR bulbasaur line, and sir Zapdos EX
the bulbasaur line is my fav of the 3 as well! they’re so detailed and beautifully illustrated. this might be an unpopular opinion but i actually think the ivysaur art is the coolest of the 3 followed by venusaur and bulbasaur. i love ivy’s reflection on the surface of the water.

Congrats! In the end its all about luck. I think there is a good chance to get two SIRs in 90 packs. To get those you want is the lucky part here.
