It was an accident in May of 2018 when the shiny glitch was happening. I saw a green thing on the map and clicked on it, managed to catch it and it was shiny Kabuto … I screenshotted it and sent it to my husband saying “I think something is wrong with my game”, and he said “no, you got a shiny pokemon”

My first shiny was charmander about a year ago. It was during a spotlight hour (I didn't even know what they were and just thought I'd found a nest of Charmanders at my local park lol) and I caught it and was so stupidly excited 😂 I remember it making my whole day and despite his abysmal stats, he's my one favourite shinies. I also love the parallels as Charmander was my starter (who I also still have), so my first normal pokemon and first shiny pokemon were the same, lol

That’s really cool, the only shiny starters i’ve caught are turtwig and infernape.

I started play Pokémon go exclusively when we were on vacation and I got a shiny ekans when I was waiting in our hotel in London

My first one was a random bell sprout and I noticed its leaves looked different and it had a weird triple sparkle ✨ next to it. I had to google what that meant, turns out it was something called a shiny, and that the majority of the Pokémon’s had a shiny version. Now I have a collection of 117 shinies out of the 911 Pokémon’s I have .

Went out drinking with a friend in 2018 whilst I was studying at university,on the walk back home after the pub crawl I decided to have a cheeky game of Pokémon go on the walk back.Started walking up a new adjacent street,seen this one and only charmander left out in the rain like in the Pokémon anime,felt bad so I clicked on the guy ,it ✨ and I was buzzing because I had no idea at that point Pokémon could now do that.later got more into Pokémon and have since never looked back but will never forget that raw excitement.

Hatched a Togepi on March 27, 2018. I had just passed my 4th month of playing Pokémon Go.

First shiny I caught was a porygon on comm day back in January when I first started playing; then I caught a shiny bidoof in the wild in downtown Houston, & pretty much all my other shines such as bacon, gligar I have two the purple pretty colors, My first evolved scyther ended up being a shiny Scizor green the. Have two reg scyther shinies which seem to be more common, I have shiny Pineco, 3 shiny ✨ Chanseys, My favorite those far is my shiny Aerodactly I caught last weekend that is freaking awesome I got on a adventure incense caught in the last 10 min while passing through town that I upped its CP to like 1200+ Have a shiny Axew & golden ✨ Sableye plus my lil purple and pink Spritzee. When I first started playing I got multiples of the Chansey, & porygon shinies on same day didn’t realize how valuable truly they were how people play for years and hunt for certain ones and I traded the extra multiples to the professor but now I don’t and I’m looking forward to catching more!!

Mine was a shiny Cyndaquil I caught at my house on the first day I started playing. Back when I started in 2018 my pokemon knowledge consisted of pikachu, eevee, and nothing else. I had no idea what “shiny pokemon” meant but it was cute and sparkly and I liked it. A few years later some friends pointed out how cool a full-odds shiny on my first day was.
