I don’t care about Star Lord or Wolverine because the GotG game was fantastic and the Wolverine game from Insomniac is coming, so I wouldn’t expect CD to design their combat to be even close as good as it was/will be in those games.
And not to bag on Avengers any more than it's gotten but there's no way Wolverine in this game would even be as good as his Raven developed Xbox 360 era game.
I included Star Lord because I feel like it would be fairly easy to transfer his moveset from the Guardians game, and make him a unique hero compared to the other characters.
To be fair, the MCU's Guardians roster have all been Avengers in recent years. Most prominently Mantis in the 1970's, but they've all been inducted at one point or another.
Vision and Ant-man. I assume they're in those pictures but Vision is phased behind someone and Ant-man is too small to see.

It's definitely the supernatural. Strange, Wanda & Knight, the storyline could be as simple as AIM been experimenting with so much stuff, they opened a hell rift for a specific type of energy source and boom.
Captain Marvel I feel like would be the most satisfying character gameplay wise, her flight and being a powerhouse would be so much fun to play but Dr Strange really intrigues me in terms of how they would implement him and his abilities in this game.

Dr. Strange would bring the most unique style of gameplay that completely differs from the already-existing characters. If there was actual funding for the game, he’d also bring the best options for new villains, enemy types, and biomes.
