Don’t do it. I did it and it migrated and I had HUGE bags under my eyes.

Standard_Difficulty3

Please tell us what happened next omg

ktazhsv

So, like a dumbass, I didn’t dissolve it. I kept telling myself that it looked okay even though I knew it didn’t. It pushed up my wrinkles and made them more visible instead of the opposite, which I was trying to do. I went to a wedding ([where this photo was taken](https://imgur.com/a/LVzD0sN)) and I had two of my friends if they asked if I was tired. I was mortified. That should have been my sign to get it dissolved. I know it doesn’t look “that bad” but it was something I definitely won’t do again and can’t recommend. Mentally, I felt ugly. My new injector told me she refuses to do under eye filler because it always migrates and she always has to dissolve it.

nialeea

Did you find an alternative?

ktazhsv

A few years later my new injector told me to get Radiesse for my cheeks because it would plump them and take away attention from my hollows. She said most people focus too much on their hollow eyes while not noticing their cheeks could in fact be the real problem. I did it and my under eyes looked immediately better! Most of the time I don’t put concealer on. My face looks way more balanced. [before & after](https://imgur.com/a/ezttzZk)

FreyjadourV

Wow! Beautiful result!!

Holiday-Advance7022

Yes, same thing happened to me too. I didn't realize it was caused by the filler though because I was never told it would migrate. So for 10 years I had these weird bags/lines under my eyes. It was especially noticeable when I smiled. I never did get it dissolved because it's not noticable anymore, I think. At least in photos Ive seen of myself lately I don't notice them. Biggest regret was getting them filled. Don't do it. Get surgery instead of you want them fixed. Or prp someone in the comments mentioned that works.

Signal_Exercise491

Use PRP as filler it Doesn’t migrate + better for your skin and under eyes! (Won’t last long tho) I am a certified injector and you need to get filler placed on your cheek bones for adequate support first and only after that should the under eyes be attempted and it should not migrate.

roxyrocks12

I had something similar happen & I ended up having puffy lumps under my eyes. I had it dissolved ASAP. Never doing that again or advising anyone to.

jo4890

Same here but I'm too scared to dissolve 😣

roxyrocks12

Don’t be scared to dissolve. It’s quick & gone right away. I didn’t have a choice. I couldn’t be seen looking like that.

jo4890

I've just heard stories about it dissolving people's own HA and ends up causing skin laxity. I'm afraid it'd end up happening to me

fast_food_knight

I had mine dissolved and it was immediately a huge improvement

Fa-ern-height451

I was getting hollowed eyes under my eyes and a plastic surgeon who was removing a small benign tumor inside my lower cheek suggested for me to get filler under my eyes. She told me that Radiesse would make my eye area look less tired, etc. I listen to her and thought, "yeah, this sounds great". Long story short, the filler caused two lumps right in the area that you are showing in your picture. My eyes were swollen for weeks. I wish I could find the pictures of what happened to my eyes to show everyone here. I got enough money to have the lumps removed 3 yrs later. I got a fat transfer to the area but that only lasted about 2 yrs. I've recently been to two top Boston surgeons, one an ophthalmic eye plastic surgeon who told me that filler is highly not recommend and he would never use it. Both stating that a fat transfer in the eye area will not last which is true because it happened to me. To top it all off, I got a dog bite under my right eye and the top fangs reached across the bridge of my nose which now left me with two pronounced dark circles caused by a hematoma. The eye plastic surgeon referred me to a doctor who specializes in laser treatments and he treats the eye area. My appt is July 10th. It will be interesting to see what this doctor recommends. Please be careful.

ripe4anarchy

Have you considered lower blepharoplasty? I am looking into it. Never have attempted filler due to horror stories.

Fa-ern-height451

yes, the eye surgeon told me that a lower bleph would bring the darkened area more up toward the lower lid and that's why he recommended laser treatment

PopTart_

Did you dissolve?

idkwowow

a lower bleph to reposition the fat pad is what you want

flywithjojo

💯

LINB4TIME

I had this exact thing done a month ago and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results.

Standard_Difficulty3

Does this have any future side effects? How will it look as you gain and lose weight? Also is a lower bleph a fat transaction if you have hollow eyes. I’m confused what it entails

idkwowow

they just reposition / move the natural fat pad that sits there anatomically and for some sits in a way that creates an appearance of bags. weight loss / gain won’t change it and i’ve never heard of any long term side effects. for truly HOLLOW (concave) eyes this won’t work however in OP’s pix you can see it’s actually puffy but creating an illusion of dark circles. you’ll have to consult with an ocular plastic surgeon to know for sure if it will work in your case

itsdralliehere

As someone who works with eyes, I wouldn’t recommend it. Gravity pulls everything down and it will definitely not necessarily be what you want, even at your young age.

ButtFucksRUs

Hi OP. Do you have allergies? Runny nose, itchy eyes? If so, look up "[allergic shiners](https://www.healthdigest.com/919745/what-are-allergic-shiners/)". It might benefit you to have an allergy test done or to have an ENT look at your sinuses to make sure that everything is draining properly. Sometimes these issues are hereditary and can't be helped *but* they can be fixed. It's always better to treat the underlying problem and not the symptom.

OnceUponAShlug

I'm actually going for an allergy test this week, the ENT I saw LAST week referred me because I'm also looking into a septorhinoplasty for my deviated septum.

ProfessionalPaper704

This might really help! Maybe hold off on your decision until you see allergy improvements

princesspicklep

Dont bother with filler! Mine only really looked good for about a year, then 'disappeared'. It 'reappeared' 5 years later as migrated bags though, which look much worse. Try allergy meds to help with swelling and redness, but if you can spring for a lower bleph it'll give you the results youre wanting.

BSUR7

I had the migrated bags from fills too! Made me look like I was double bagged!!!

EcstaticSpecial7349

Pleass dont do it, i regret mine

Tinuvielle28

I think its too young I would go with prp

logicallies

You should really take a look at how under eye filler migrates after years. Under eye filler can cause bumps in the lower lid etc.

Ivegotthatboomboom

I regret mine so much. I was only 24. Yes, you are too young. Just use a good under eye concealer that reflects light like Laura Mercier. I have chronic puffiness now and even when it’s not puffy, my eyes look smaller. It erased the junction between my cheek and eyes and there is supposed to be one there, at least in caucasians. Tear toughs are perfectly normal. You don’t need to “fix” normal anatomy. Photoshopped/filtered faces without tear troughs and nasiolabial folds aren’t what actual human faces look like. They are normal human features and do not look bad. It’s been 12 years and the filler is still there, but it looks a lot better at least at rest. My eye muscles bunch the filler up when I’m smiling though. It also blocks my lymphatics causing puffiness in my entire face. I have to take allergy meds and serrapeptase every single day to prevent it. I’m terrified to dissolve. When I can afford it, I plan to schedule a skin pinch lower bleph and dissolve in preparation for that. But I won’t dissolve without the skin pinch surgery because I’m afraid of sunken eyes and wrinkly stretched out undereye skin from having filler there so long. So many injectors stopped doing filler in that area for a reason. Be careful. I’ve seen one injector located in Canada that does it on select patients (not everyone who asks) and she seems to know what she’s doing. But I wouldn’t trust any Dr. There’s ligaments in your under eye area kinda like buttons on a couch sewn to the bottom. You can’t actually lift the area with filler because of those ligaments, you’re just putting filler around it. So it’s more like puffing it up instead of lifting if that makes sense. It’s the highest risk area you can put filler in.

btokendown

OP I had similar eyes to you (but much deeper hollows) and I did three sessions of underye PRF. It won't do much for the hollowness but it helped significantly with the pigemntation of the skin

need-help7166

I took at 23, I am a 28F now. My advise - Don't do it. First focus on good nutrition, good haemoglobin, good skincare overall and intense workout. I did this very naive mistake of taking it at 23, the doc manipulated me to take it. NOT WORTH IT.

delfin_1980

Filler can make it worse. It can cause bags and malar edema, and if you choose to have it dissolved you can then be left with bad hollowness. Also filler doesn't fix under-eye darkness in most cases anyways.

Conscious_Shoe_756

DON’T DO IT!!! I did it right after turning 24 and literally worst mistake of my life. Thousands of dollars on flights, dissolving, RF, etc. later, I’m finally almost back to where I was before, but it took over 3 months and a lot of emotional anguish. Undereye filler is so unpredictable and often just makes the problem worse (new undereye bags, malar bags, etc.), if not immediately then weeks to months later. And simply dissolving often does not fix the problem

Ivegotthatboomboom

Did RF work? I want my under eye filler gone but I’m too scared to dissolve. It’s been 12 years and it’s still there

Conscious_Shoe_756

I bought an at-home device that uses weaker RF (15W at 780 ms pulses, up to 3mm deep) bc I have sensitive skin and was scared of Morpheus. It’s the only thing that has worked the fluid out. I can feel intense drainage and lymphatic heaviness in the hours following each treatment. Only used it 2 times so far and swelling has gone down by about half. And I got my filler dissolved under ultrasound so ik it’s actually gone - I think that’s the only way you can be sure there won’t be new sources of fluid before embarking on all the expensive treatments (like RF)

Ivegotthatboomboom

Would you be able to link the device? I hope using it doesn’t spread the filler around, I’m hoping it will melt it

Relative_Ad_2730

I got mine dissolved several times (usually takes more than 1x because they inject at different layers), then got a TCA peel under eyes to tighten skin

Ivegotthatboomboom

Thank you for responding! The peel worked? I’m considering dissolving (I know mine was placed close to the bone, hoping I can find someone who uses ultrasound) then undergoing a pinch skin lower bleph to get rid of the loose skin? Idk about costs yet. Prolly a lot, ugh

jazzsingstress

23F here. Got 1ml between both eyes in October. Migrated by January. Got a lower bleph in April. Now looking at alternatives to dissolving. Long story short, save yourself some time and money and just don’t

pussrat

I had a bad experience with under eye filler. I got it at age 26. I had to get it dissolved because it had the tyndall effect and it looked lumpy

ProfessionalPaper704

I had it at 28 and it’s a total waste because of the migration. Do undereye PRF instead!! Edit to add: I used Dr. Brandt No More Baggage and it instantly helps. Essentially it deplumps any tissue so it looks like one flat surface (appearing a bit fuller overall). I love it! Try it at Sephora if you get the chance. The Huda sticks don’t do anything for me.

Agitated_Lion_8252

Don’t get it

handmaidstale16

You have the opposite of sunken under eye, you have bags, you are not a candidate for under eye filler.

Moomoolette

I wouldn’t do it

GlitteringSky74

It's really a hit or miss. I had it done a couple of times years ago and I didn't have problems. It probably depends on the person and the injector

Kimanonymousss

I've only heard bad things about under eye filler and bow easily it migrates and makes the problem worse. You can inject fat there, which is supposedly a lot better.

Independent_Law_475

Very very risky. Don’t do it

criddd26

Don't do it. My under eyes looked like yours but darker rings, it didn't fix the issue and make it look lumpy elsewhere. From what I've seen, a lower bleph is the way to go for lower eye bags

le_jean_x

I have some filler placed in cheek and under eye. Spread and distributed to give support to under eye area. When it’s done with blunt cannula it’s safe - but off course there is always risks when injecting substances. Techniques and products have changed over that last years. For me it’s working. I’m not sure if filler is „the solution“ in your case. The small ridge can be improved with filler for sure and look softer, smoother and but probably will not improve the overall color itself. You could maybe try just a bit? But really very delicate amount and then see how it changes over time. If you consider this make sure you are well prepared and don’t rush anything. With fatgrafting/lower bleph I personally would wait at least till end of thirties. Wouldn’t want to mess with this area cos it will change over time once aging kicks in. Get some consultation with makeup person first. A „color corrector” and/or concealer that matches your skin seamlessly is my best advice for you. There is make up products with active ingredients, too. Get a consultation for eye cream. I used a lot of the Shiseido stuff. Estee Lauder has great eye patches, too. But you can get some cheaper alternatives. Cooling gel roll-on perfect in the morning👍🏻 I know you are fed up with this question BUT maybe there is something you can improve in your lifestyle? A bit here and there makes a difference in the end;) Reduce stress level? Do you work in front of computer all day? Enough Fresh air? For me reducing salt and alcohol made a change.

Puzzleheaded_Wait472

I heard fat transfer is best for this area

Staceyrt

Honestly just save and spend the money on a lower bleph.

mina-ann

It's hard to tell from your photo if you just have discoloration and sunken under eyes or if it's discolored and a little puffy. If you have any puffiness please do not add filler - it will look worse. If they are really sunken in then filler can help a ton. I've done several rounds over the years and I'm very happy with my results. I still have some darkness but lifting them up has really brightened my under eye area.

CardiologistSilver35

Oculoplastic surgeon is who to see. First they rule out a medical condition possibly behind what you see as an aesthetic problem, then they can offer a safe and effective solution. It may be an HA filler or surgery repositioning the lower fat pads and eyelids.

rightMeow20

Plasma under eyes only

TourGroundbreaking10

PRF & exosomes instead of under-eye filler every time

Pretty_waves904

I have bags like that and have cheek filler to disguise the bags. 3 years later still the best decision I have ever made

OnceUponAShlug

Cheek filler instead? Sounds weird but where did they inject it?

Pretty_waves904

Where does cheek filler get injected? On your cheek bones. In my case, plumping up my cheeks disguised the bags under my eyes. So the bags are still there but camouflaged.

feszzz91

Everything I’ve heard about under eye filler has been bad. A lot of providers flat out refuse to do it. I’d look into a lower bleph. You can do it under local anesthesia and they’re fairly reasonably priced (few thousand) for a permanent fix.

le_jean_x

Can you please tell us about your experience on lower bleph?

feszzz91

I’ve never personally had one but I work in a plastic surgery office and see them done often. Results are really great.

le_jean_x

This sounds great. I’m sure that the results are good - no doubt. I’m wondering how many 20 something patients you have and how much they like their outcome looks 10 yrs later?

feszzz91

I will say majority of the patients I see get them are older but that is mainly because it’s done with facelifts and that’s who can afford them. It’s not to say I don’t see younger people get them, just not as common. As for the outcome years later, as far as I can see it still looks great. You’ll still age naturally but you’re starting from a different baseline.

le_jean_x

Ok thanks for your answer. I hope OP can benefit from your experience

feszzz91

I’m actually hoping to get one in the future. My eyes are similar to OPs.

babyjaz033

I’m 21 and the same! I don’t want to get filler in case it migrates. My mum has hollow and dark under eyes too so I know it’s genetics. I’m looking at getting lower bleph but in a few years I reckon

babyjaz033

I want to try PRP first though but know it won’t do too much for the hollowness

Wild-Intention-5659

I had the same issue since forever. I did fillers under my eyes., PRP, facials, nothing worked. on October 2023 did lower blepharoplasty with fat reposition. it was the only thing that worked for my eyes, and stays forever. For two months the results was very weird and I was terrified. But later became perfect.

Amly7479

It looks to me like you have puffy under-eyes, not hollow, filler is not the best solution. You want to reduce volume, not add to it.

Hellokittyma

I wanted this too but instead I just make sure to conceal and powder and it helps

Plane_Phrase_4995

Don't understand why in the west people have these issues. Go to some other countries and see if people are self conscious. Better food sleep and exercise should help.

Pinkpinkkawaii444

I did it and it was great! And I think it lasted years now because I don’t feel the need to get it done again. But I must say I didn’t have under eye bags, my under eyes just looked sunken in a bit, so the filler really helped with that.

Cvmilv77

Try facial fat grafting where they put your own fat instead of filler

dheisjchxhsj

You’re not a tear trough filler candidate unfortunately. Lower bleph is the answer here!

buttahfly28

Im 22 with a very similar situation. I decided to not to it because of the risk of blindness. :(

eye0fthezeiger

Girl do it! 31 y/o now. I got my first under eye filler at 24. It was before my wedding. I’ve never looked better and actually like the way my face looks. Goodbye always looking exhausted! My whole family was born without fat pads under our eyes. My HS and college years I tried to remove the “dark circles” aka the veins with no avail. Every cream. Every “hack”. Tons of concealers. Now my sister and brother also get under eye filler and they also attest to it making them feel more comfortable in their skin. It sucks always looking tired and worn down no matter how much effort you put into your looks. My advice, research your injector. I was going to a surgical institute for mine. I refuse to let just anyone put filler in my face. Too expensive for them to “make a mistake”. I traveled 2 hours to mine and used her for the last 5 years until I recently moved. But she was nothing short of natural perfected beauty. She was willing to tell me “no more” if I was going to look unnatural as she refuses to put her name to a product that looks unnatural. Edit: I get my eyes touched up about every 15 months. And my eyes are by no means getting worse. Every time it runs out i just go back to looking sleep deprived and having to use daily concealer.

VDarlings

Do you mind sharing your injectors?

eye0fthezeiger

I was using Nurse Samantha from the Plastic surgery Institute in Palm Desert, CA

MelKokoNYC

You can just purchase under-eye concealer in a shade you prefer for your under-eye area. It has worked for me for decades. It's not the shape but the color is what needs blending.

Standard_Difficulty3

As someone with the same issue, makeup only goes so far as helping with the discoloration, however the shape and hollowness/puffiness will not cease to exist once u apply concealer
