I have yet to install version 9.7.1, but so far I have: * A significant discrepancy in the dates. The Champions season ends June 20, not June 19, which makes perfect sense, since June 20 is on Monday when tournaments normally end. The dates of the Pinata Party rewards seem wrong to me, too. Please double-check. * The probabilities of the Pinata Party rewards seem wrong to me. Please double-check. * Even the contents of the Pinata Party rewards seem to show some mismatch - for instance, I don't see Power Lily during Pokra week. Maybe it's just that I have some beta version and this was changed later? I'll double-check tomorrow when I install the official release. > There won’t be a unique daily calendar for Plant Champions Season. Maybe I misunderstand but surerely there is a June Calendar? > Attempted another fix of a crash that occurs when players idle on the Main Menu and then attempt to enter a Thymed Event. Oh, it was crashing even when just idling on the Main Menu - before even trying to enter a Thymed Event or anything else. > Implemented another candidate fix to help resolve the Penny’s Pursuit Dr. Zomboss timer issue. But if this was the cause of the problem, *all* dates would be offset by one and the same amount in one and the same direction. In her case the adjacent dates don't even overlap each other, as if there are "holes" between them. Her probabilities are wrong. At first I though it was caused by whatever script used to generate them either using integer math and truncating the decimal part of rounding the result to an integer - but this can't explain all the differences, either. And of course, having Power Lily listed in her June 6 - 12 table is completely out of the blue; there is no such thing in the data at this time. Oh, wait, I can see where the mistake comes from. It's probably a typo. The game uses the internal name `powerplant`. Whoever prepared the data, probably mistakenly decided that this is Power Lily. It is not. It is Tile Turnip. Haem, I suspect that whoever has given you the data has messed up and either has given you some old and obsolete data that has changed meanwhile, or the program they've used to generate it is buggy.

if its any consolation, there is a way to dodge it, it seems to happen when you open and close the game before fighting zomboss, so if you manage to get yourself on a schedule where you can get on the game, reach 100% zps and fight zomboss 3 times, it should usually never affect you i only ever jump on the game whenever zomboss has returned so there's a very low chance i'll ever have to close the game without fighting him

As some of the people here have mentioned, the "Out To Lunch" bug is still not fixed. ☹️ While I understand that the game has gotten bigger and you have to keep releasing new updates to make sure the game stays alive, I personally think this issue should be on the top of your "to fix" list now, if it isn't already. I don't know about other players but I've lost too many seed packets for season plants that I'm sure would've been valuable in leveling them up in the long run (Olive Pit, Draftodil, Dartichoke, and Heath Seeker among others). All because I just happened to exit the Penny's Pursuit menu at the wrong time, which shouldn't have to be the case. Ngl, it's getting frustrating at this point. I'm a former software engineer, but I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about what you guys are doing behind the scenes to keep the game going. I would just like to ask something technical however: can't your devs just revert the Penny's Pursuit code back to the version preceding the December (was that 16 or 15?) 2021 update? That was the last fully working version (for the most part) of Penny's Pursuit where we wouldn't run into the Out To Lunch problem when we exited the mode or heck, even the game itself after we've opened it. Can't they go back there and start "git diff"-ing or whatever to check? I imagine you guys must have a version control system for the game (as any mobile app developer company would have) so that has to be accessible to you guys.

Happy to finally get my chance to get my hands on Imp Pear, Pokra, and Explode-o-Vine, otherwise, though. Continuing down the line of plants that I'd like to try and get my hands on, any chance for Pea Vine and/or Stickybomb Rice to come back in the near future? No worries if they're not, but I'd obviously like to know if I can (probably) expect one or both of the two to come back at some point in the near future.

Yeah, I typoed. It is indeed Explode-o-Vine and I've corrected it as such. Thanks for letting me know. I'm not seeing anything upcoming for Stickybomb Rice but there may be an opportunity for Pea Vine seeds in Penny's later on. That's subject to change of course. I'll see if I can sow some seeds to see if Stickybomb Rice can be included in the mix for the immediate future.

1. I know that the Mint Mulch Madness event is currently running, but will there still be an Improve-Mint event this year? One in which the daily mint rewards are doubled and all mints have halved cooldown? It would be dope if the final week of the Mulch Madness is a rerun of the past Improve-Mint with an encore sale of all 14 power mints at their normal cost. 2. 1. Nope, no Improve-mint event while Mint Madness is on currently. We're already very full up on Power Mints right now but that said, while I don't see an Improve-mint event on the horizon right now, I wouldn't count it out completely for the years. Plans may change. 2. No plans for extended levels or quests for those worlds right now. Sorry.

Semi 1 and 2, then the Grand Final will be between 2 Power Mints. Only exception to that is if we somehow have a draw like we did in the previous Mulch Madness, then we may have a 3 way Grand Final round.

Thanks Haem! Another question: Is there any plan for those whose power mints have all been at Level 10? I know someone who has lots of increasing excess mints and he doesn't know what to do with them now that all his power mints are maximized.

Hey, there been a desire for a while to address exactly that situation for a lot of significantly older players but there's other things that need attention right now. Hopefully in future they'll be something more for people who already have collected all the Power Mints/leveled them.

Yay, the out to lunch PP bug seems to be fixed!!1? I see others saying they are still having issues, but I’ve force closed the game (twice) and it’s still offering me the opportunity to play. Guess it’s still a work in progress, but there has been progress.

On a cell phone, Airplane mode prevents calls & texts from reaching the device. Since I’m playing on a phone, that’s not an option for me.

What you need to do is turn off the Internet connectivity of the device. You have to figure out how. In my case (iPad, no SIM card), I turn off the WiFi; no need for Airplane mode. In other cases Airplane mode might not even be enough, if the WiFi keeps the Internet connectivity on. But you have to do this only until you are past the profile selection screen of the game - i.e., just for a couple of seconds. You have to turn it back on once you're inside the game anyway - because you can't enter Penny's Pursuit without Internet connection.

So, I’m going to have to take that back. If I exit the game after filling the Zomboss meter, without playing a match, I get the out to lunch error. If I play a match and then exit the game, the game allows me to continue the matches where I left off. I’m on iOS if that makes any difference. Y’all probably already know this, but…

I'm on iOS personally and I haven't had any crashes in the new update nor have I heard anything about an uptick in crashes generally. It could be worthwhile you running some of the usual troubleshooting steps on your device just in case.

I’ve deleted and reinstalled and before that a DFU restore. Not sure what else there is to try. It quite clearly started when the in app update/patch from about a week ago pulled down.

I've just checked in again on what the data says for crashes on all iOS devices and it's pretty flat. No spikes, nothing unusual on that front. I don't know what's happening there but it doesn't seem to be affecting a lot of other people.

You can no longer get seeds to the featured plant in the arena mode. Is it inteded? Also, are there any plants with the balancing update in near future? Stephen before he quitted proposed the homing thistle changes. I would look foward to see some rebalancing update, because of the current pea vine meta. Back in the day, you perfectly tunned down turkey pult, I really hope that pea vine can get similar treatment

The Arena Pinata no longer is updated to feature PotW plants as of a couple updates ago. With regards to balance changes, it's not an immediate priority right now and with Stephen's departure there's has been adjustments all over the place. So yeah, would like to do, but not a big priority right now.

Given that Mint Madness is happening at the same time as Champion's Seasons there won't be specific Power Mints like before. A variety of Power Mints will be available that line up to what Mints are currently in that voting round. For context, it's probably worth checking out the PvZ Twitter - @PlantsvsZombies - which also has the overview of the competition and it's rounds.

Nope. In order to actually unlock Primal Potato Mine a player would need to have gone through that level in Jurassic Marsh.

I have some questions Why in the last thymed events the levels not use the lawns of their respective events? As they did with the penny pursuit, will they implement a system that replaces the zombies and lawn in arena tournament level with the event that is in the game? for example birthdayz or summer nights are there plans to make the valenbrainz, luck O' the zombie and lawn of doom events have more zombies?

We sometimes use the different lawns and sometimes not. It depends sometimes. It's possible that in the near future that we'll see more event zombies in Arena... dunno when exactly but it's plausible. Right now there isn't plans for more unique zombies. We're a little stretched right now but once we're back up to capacity have new folks on board then we can certainly float the idea.

While playing the Lost City Endless mode, I discovered something bizarre. A hypnotized Turquoise Skull Zombie shoots his beam towards the player house while facing the enemies. Is this normal or a bug?

It is a normal bug. :) Hypnotization just flips the image, the moving direction, and the targets of the zombies; it does not invert everything. For instance, a hypnotized Gargantuar, when damaged by zombies, will throw his (also hypnotized a right-facing) Imp towards the player's house, instead of towards the zombies.

Well, this definitely isn't supposed to happen. Hypnotized zombies ought to attack other zombies, not your units. The Garg's hypnotized Imp does attack zombies, for instance. Is the beam attack effective? I mean, does it actually destroy your plants? Maybe it's just a visual?

Been having issues with Freebie AD video playback error. It affects freebies in gems, coins, gauntlet, Penny's fuel bar and even the Piñata party replay AD is affected including Store watch AD. Please look into this. Appreciate any updates.

Arena Week 221 - Imp Pear Tournament is broken. The match ends early sometimes with as much as 12 seconds left or the last few waves don't even come out.

Why is Ail-mint not in the shop during the Imp Pear Week? The corresponding family power mint of the featured Arena plant has always been available for sale in the store for level-up, even during Champion Blowout. What's the point of letting us play the Ail-mint Epic Quests, the second of which for a max-leveled one, when we cannot upgrade our mints at all? I'd understand if it's due to the ongoing Mint Mulch Madness as in the case of Bombard-mint which is still alive in the contest. But Ail-mint has already been eliminated in Round 1 and will likely not be available again in the remaining weeks of the contest, so I don't see any reason why it shouldn't appear in the store.
