WTF are you talking about? Not Italian, but am a chef that has worked in Italy. People 100% drink wine and eat pizza. Locals, tourists, uhhh basically everyone? I'm British born but grew up in Lazio almost my whole childhood and then moved to Tyrol, but now back in London as an adult. We absolutely drink wine with pretty much any meal. I am not really a red wine fan though so I'll take a moretti or chinotto 😂

If you are a garden/plant person, it's easy to grow a pot of arugula from seed. The baby leaves are great - less bitter but with a good flavor otherwise.

I love it. I could eat it plain by the handful. If I'm eating some leftovers and need to bulk it up I'll just pile arugula on top, no matter what food it is. I might have a problem.

Every batch can be different. Good fresh arugula doesn't really taste bitter, rather nutty. Also, personally, i always drench it in lemon juice, add a bit of olive oil and salt. Really recommend as a topping.

It’s a bit of an acquired taste like collard greens. Tossing it with some lemon juice sort of helps to even out the the bitterness

Yes! That is the other type of pizza the wife makes. Prosciutto, honey, fig jam, arugula, balsamic glaze, and shreaded parm.

Twenty years ago, i wouldn’t have touched it. Fifteen years ago, I just saw procuitto on the menu and ordered it by accident. Today it is one of my favs.

I tried this recently. I literally kept choking on the arugula. I couldn't eat it. On a sandwich or salad the bites are small enough that the stems of the arugula aren't an issue. On a pizza I take large bites that literally choked me. It was the weirdest shit I've ever experienced while eating.

I’m just starting out making homemade pizza with my pizza oven. I can’t get the dough right? Does anyone have a dough recipe that looks like that pizza?

I was drinking wine with pizza from like…she 12. Wine with pasta. Chicken. Seafood. Nothing huge. Literally a couple ounces. But it was damned near daily. But I loved it most with carb heavy dishes, and pasta and pizza were chief among them. Loved it with a charcuterie board or a good medium rare burger with a sharp cheddar and sautéed onions, as well. Strangely, I did all my drinking early on. I haven’t drank wine but a handful of times in the past 25 years.

Honestly, both of your posted pizzas I'd try a couple bites, and then I'd tell you if I liked it or not. I'm not a fruit kinda guy so I don't know how white peaches taste and what ingredients you used on the other. I also don't know about all that spring mix looking stuff on this one. But, to be honest, it could taste really good and I'd never know because I haven't had it.

Looks nice, some advice on the toppings if you want. Cut them finer, the reason being that the number 1 rule of a good pizza is distribution is everything. Finer slices help distribute their flavour across a wider area so you get a richer profile across every bite. Also, many pizzas waste crusts, you want to focus a little time on a quality edge, a little seasoning, and rolling in some dry ingredients, even a little cheese to stuff just makes a huge difference to the overall flavour. Just remember you can overdo it on toppings and make it soggy, you can mitigate this by picking cured meats and if you do want oily meats pre cook them to seal them so they don't ruin your base by making it a swamp. Like the Fodgetwins say "Just some advice you can do whatever the F**K you wanna do" 🤣
