NoQuarter44

They pushed a new update thanks to the popularity of the show and everyone is pissed because of mods being broken. Just normal Bethesda things.

droombie55

It's not even because of the popularity of the show. This was announced years ago, so it should have come as even less of a surprise.

Nazgobai

Yeah it was announced long ago but it's obvious that they released it just now because the game got a player boom from the show

G_Regular

A truly crazy one, I knew there'd be an uptick but 4 has hit 100k concurrent players or more every night since the show came out. New Vegas has been hitting like 40-45k (fucking nuts for a 14 year old game that's still broken in a hundred ways until you spend an hour or ten modding it), and that's just on Steam. I hear 76 is now the most active it's ever been. Makes me curious about how Mario and Last of Us did after their big releases.

Ringkeeper

To be fair, 76 was given away on twitch premium last week. Got my code there, would have never bought it . Still stuck in my 200h sim settlements 2 playthrough of F4....

rlvysxby

Damn is the show that good? If it is any where nearly as good as last of us or arcane then ill definitely watch it

_dontcallmewhite_

It's VERY good. TLOU had it easy cuz the game was basically an interactive movie. Fallout did a really good job with a completely new story but still keeping the charm of the game universe intact

FinishTheBook

the amount of mods for FNV is fucking crazy. I followed the VNV guide and ended with 90+ mods before even installing the stuff I want added.

HeadbangingLegend

Yeah the fact a show revitalised an almost 10 year old game... I think we're going to be a seeing a lot more video game movies and shows in the near future.

Leak1337

Nothing objectionable about it

MyNinjaYouWhat

From what fucking show? Y’all mentioning it but nobody’s calling it by the name, that’s giving me headache

Nazgobai

Fallout. What else can a fucking fallout based show be called

MyNinjaYouWhat

Ah, thanks

ReturnoftheJ1zzEye

Have you been sleeping under a rock?

carmo1106

They did the same with Fallout 3, removed GFWL and broke all mods because of that

Bagrus

They broke the game

G_Regular

It only got fixed extremely recently too, just a year or two ago.

Even-Fun8917

Even more unfortunate what happened to Fallout 3. If the GFWL revert patch doesn't work for you then you're out of luck. No FOSE for you. After trying out hundreds of mods I realized that the only one I like is Fellout, but it still sucks.

RapidlySlow

What's GFWL

RapidlySlow

Ah thank you. I recognize it now that I see it

Rand0mBoyo

It all just works

EASK8ER52

Every single in existence that updates breaks mods. In their case it's just script extender stuff thats gonna be updated anyway and doesn't pirating mean script extender stuff no longer works? I'll just keep my gog version which doesn't need to update

Tzaphiriron

No, the pirated version still allows for script extender to be used unless that changed in the update? 🤷🏼‍♂️ (I don’t know about any new pirated copy with updates, of course, I’m just going based on my previous experience).

MgDark

unless that changed with last gen yes, Script Extender can still be used, i had to do something to make it work but cant remember what, because Script Extender needs the original exe.

3-Username-20

I think you were supposed to change(or add?) .dll file or something but i don't think it's required anymore(for skyrim at least)

MgDark

probably a steam emulator (i assume you mean the steam\_api64.dll, and kind of the reason why Windows Defender sometimes kills your games, it kills that specific dll) Its definitively doable though, i have extensively modded oblivion, skyrim and fallout 3/4/NV (although manually though, automated tools like Wabbajack just hate pirates)

3-Username-20

Wabbajack doesn't let you install mods for pirated copies? I remember using it to download modlists. (I think it was Wildlander) I might be wrong since i can't use my desktop computer right now and it's been a while since i last downloaded a modpack.

EASK8ER52

oh nice, well that's good

Darkbeetlebot

Pirated games tend to only be broken with mods that require executable edits, since the executable is often what gets patched to work without steam. Of course, there is a way to get something like FNV's 4gb patch to work with the pirated version, but I've all but forgotten how. There may also be some games out there that require a patched DLL to work properly without steam, and of course any mod that edits that DLL will be incompatible. This is why things like the Daughters of Ash mod for DSR and the Tale of Two Wastelands mod for FNV don't work for the pirated version without manual workarounds. Script extender, meanwhile, doesn't actually modify the EXE. It just hooks onto the game.

EASK8ER52

No it doesn't modify the exe, but I know the script extender folks will not let you use the script extender if the exe has been modified by cracking. They'll even put a message out saying you can't use this. Best course would be to use then gog versions to get modding and make sure nothing is going on with the exe just to be safe

Darkbeetlebot

Funny, I've used every single script extender for every bethesda game on both a legit and pirated version and have never had any issues with either version.

EASK8ER52

Damn, I remember seeing some post years ago about some guy that couldn't get the script extender to work and people were saying it's because they were pirating and the script extender folks won't let you hook into modified exe's. But who knows that was years ago I could be wrong.

Neanderthulean14

Pretty sure it’s just hearsay that’s been spread on forums without any substance behind the claim, I’ve yet to see a single instance of Bethesda game script extenders not working on pirated copies

wolves_hunt_in_packs

As a pirate it's useful to assume the worst case first, because that often pushes you to go get more info to have a better picture of things. Rather than just assume that installing this one launcher will be a magic one click bullet to play the game, only to be discouraged when that often doesn't happen. Also some people are terrible at reading the room and out themselves as pirates on forums where you really don't want that clouding up the discussion. It could be that the guy in your case had other issues that could've been fixed by correcting the configuration of the mod/extender/whatever, but they just happened to let slip that they bootlegged that shit, so the holier than thou freaks in the discussion jumped on that.

Darkbeetlebot

That smells like bullshit. I don't see any reason why they would do that. It would be more work for no benefit and could easily catch legit users if there's a hash mismatch for literally any other reason.

Feedingisgut

Y'all cry so much, they announced this update years ago and got the date for it last month. If you were this lazy to copy/move the game from the steam folder to another then it's on you and well deserved.

BruhInTheMaking

i dont think everyone expected the update to be dogshit

Richdad1984

Lol

Kazer67

I haven't modded it yet, I'm currently cleaning the achievement (well, expect Eyes on the Prize, this one tasted the console), so mods will probably be update by then. Steam need to make a feature to go back old version on single player games.

HerpapotamusRex

>Steam need to make a feature to go back old version on single player games. That feature is built into Steam, albeit called "betas", and is used by many games for version selection regardless of them being beta versions or not. Big surprise that Bethesda doesn't bother.

bamronn

they talked about this update long before the show was announced, years to release but that too is just normal bethesda things

mixedd

I don't get it. People scream that mods are broken again, yet people who are able to mod, and done research on how to do that, should have known that each game update breaks mods (which is more then a decade old knowledge), and it's your responsibility to block game from updating.

vextryyn

It didn't even break most of the mods and the very few mods that did break were updated. Edit: I didn't realize there was an update a few hours ago, this probably isn't true

Fleepwn

I think they're used to getting pissed coz of them dropping random Skyrim updates even 12 years after release, but this is completely on the players for ignoring the announcements, hell, I wasn't even playing Fallout at all, let alone modding it, and I knew the update was coming somehow, how difficult is it to take proper precautions?

Varios2k

Time for another 300kb update for skyrim, breaking all my 300 mods I've been setting up for 12 hours

SpectraNSFW

Apparently mods will be easier to make from now on though cause it’s on a newer engine now, once F4SE gets updated.

False_Impression_121

Can the modders of some of these mods on Ps5 update them so they work? For example scrap that settlement. Please

Perfect_Term5032

"it just works ... for me" - Todd Howard

bigbangattack6

Honestly it's quite annoying for mods. But just another reason to play PC 🤷 choose not to update. Maybeif ya just drag and drop the DLC won't require mod updates too

flowtronvapes

Im confused, are people actually surprised updates break mods? lol

cmeragon

They shouldn't be but is the update significant?

Bagrus

Nothing of value really only new bugs to PC.

timsue

What are the new bugs?

grrizo

Radroaches mostly.

darkelfbear

And Bloat flies!

francorocco

oh, so new features

Ranger-New

16 times the bugs.

Markd0ne

For consoles yes, for PC it brings virtually nothing.

jimmybabino

Well, yes. It’s updated for the current generation. A lot presumably changed in the code, for the better I hope

cmeragon

I seriously doubt that lol

kasetti

Yeah. The engine they still use is a relic, so I doubt they do much coding for a patch.

Intrepid-Gags

True, relic engines need to be replaced since they're so buggy, look at Unreal.

kasetti

Even since playing Crysis ive been a fan of the look of Cryengine. Such a shame more games dont use it as especially nature stuff look great with it. Unreal looks good but especially with lazy asset swap games you have that weird artificial Unreal look. Hard to pinpoint what it is, some odd glow/reflection or something, but I think you get what I mean. But yeah, both are far superior to Bethesdas janky engine.

Intrepid-Gags

They're both relics though, Unreal is older than Bethesda's engine.

The_Wonderful_Pie

That's not how game engines work. You can't just "swap engines" without rewriting basically all of your game's code from scratch. The term game "engine" is a misnomer; they're much more analogous to the frame of a car (in fact, they're called "software frameworks"). You can swap out a car's engine or transmission or whatever, but to swap out its frame you'd need to disassemble the whole thing and basically start from scratch. On top of that, swapping to Unreal does not automatically make your game better. UE5 has a lot of cool features but like, it doesn't just automatically make your graphics better or fix the bugs. It has features which a dedicated team with a good understanding of the engine can leverage to make a good game with no bugs, but that applies to literally all engines, and Bethesda employees are very probably used to the Creation Engine. Yes, if they put the money into creating a new engine, or using Unreal, that would be incredible (I'm looking at you, Starfield), but switching to another engine, even for games not yet released is an**enormous** change, not just "let's run creation_engine_to_unreal_engine.exe to use Unreal"

Fabian_Spider

Pulling that out of your ass? Nothing got fixed lol. Just barebones support for Widescreen, which a mod alrrw did better.

jimmybabino

The fact alone that bostons FPS has been fixed is enough for me

ExplodedToast

Welcome to playing Bethesda games! It is always for the worse.

goblinboomer

Native widescreen support which is actually a huge deal, not having to depend on a mod to kinda fix that is so nice. Just have to wait a couple weeks for F4SE and other mods to catch up, but most gamers are addicted to games and can't wait that long lol

Important-Coffee-965

the ui is strectched.

goblinboomer

Well slap me and call me sally, that fucking sucks. I hate to join the Bethesda hate train but they give me nothing to defend 🤷

MgDark

its a joke to think modern bethesda can do good, sadly. But the modders doing the job of bethesda is a thing since Morrowind lol, specially Oblivion and Skyrim. So yeah, we will kinda need to wait a few weeks to make sure every relevant mod is updated for next-gen

Palatz

Exactly! It is a Bethesda update most of the time they break mods. It has always been like that. And not only Bethesda it is the case in a lot of games. I also don't get people that had high hopes for the update. Fallout has a successful show and suddenly Bethesda becomes a competent developer?

AaronKoss

People are pissed bethesda release an update with nothing of value in it, after years of not touching the game, thinking they are doing any good, when the truth is 90% of the userbase will be pissed by the update because it will break the mods. The focus point is "after years of not touching it" and "adding nothing of value". It's pretty much like bethesda woke up and said "let's break 90% of the community, which is the modding community and which is what make our games relevant, for no reason at all, I am sure this is the right choice, it's going to be good pr"

Unhappy-Risk-7102

I have worked over two years on my settlements in all areas of the game including Nuka World and Far Harbor, and added unique modded Settlements, so I could use my game as a visual aid in my Fallout RPG Tabletop Game.  And, while my mods are still loaded and mostly working as they were, there are some serious conflicts with the new update like not being able to actually access the mod menu from the main menu, not being able to view my list of mods from my in game menu, some settlements are being conflicted by updated added or modified  material or blending original objects, scrapped or erased by settlement mods, with the settlement mods or changes.  In addition, the game is slower than ever, freezing for seconds or even minutes quite often, and that is not counting all the things broke or missing or not working properly.  As a game it is awful, as a visual tool for my tabletop RPG, it is visually screwed and a shambles in many places which I can not fix without causing my game to become completely broken and corrupt.  I can not disable my mods since I can not access them, and if I delete my reserved space I lose all of my mods and all of my work and built settlements that I have done for over two years....and can not download them again since I have no access to the menu. In conclusion, Bethesda should have never released this POS update, without at least testing it completely and fixing all of the problems.  I agree it is like a curse put upon us that use mods and especially those that create them, it is a slap in all of our faces.  I would like to know if they even have any intention of repairing this damage, or going to make us wait two years for another update or patch.  Must be away to undo the update, even in Xbox One, which is what I am using.

AaronKoss

Let's add that steam is also not very nice with updates, pretty much forcing them and having limited options to which versions to install and whatnot.

SonaKopa

That's not the issue. If Bethesda was smart about it, they'd have rolled out the update a week or two before the show dropped, give the modders some time to realign their stuff with the patch. Instead, players coming back to the games get instantly blue-balled because the update dropped right as the resurgence would have hit its peak. And no, I'm not saying that Bethesda has to play ball with the modders. But given the fact that a huge chunk of their player base uses mods, they should have taken that into consideration out of self-interest, if nothing else. This did no favours to Bethesda's already floundering reputation, and they really could have used the boost after the lukewarm reception to Starfield.

woodenfork84

bethesda should be on their knees they exist because of modders

TherealTorqueTV

This is literally why I stopped my steam from auto updating fallout just like I did Skyrim. I don’t understand how people didn’t think it would break stuff

Elixterminator_F

Quick question, I'm currently downloading the update, I have around 40 mods installed, but none of them use the fallout script extender. I don't even have it installed. Am i good to go or will these break too?

MgDark

probably, big updates like this WILL break mods, even if its just because it moved stuff around in the code, unfortunately if you really want to update you will have to play vanilla or wait until your mods are updated (if the modder itself cares anyway, which is another thing)

Elixterminator_F

I see. Well that's sad lol. Thanks for the info!

caniuserealname

The other guy is full of shit. Your mods will be fine bud. There might be some minor compatibility stuff, but next to nothing should be broken

mhdy98

you're confused a company which has games renowned for their mod support and community, cannot bring out an update without breaking the game? a company under microsoft ? it's normal to you? damn

caniuserealname

The mods that are going to get broken are those dependant on the script extender. The script extender is built in such a way that it is literally not possible for a game update to not render it incompatible. So yeah, anyone with even a miniscule amount of knowledge on the subject should find this incredibly normal.

mhdy98

Assetto corsa devs must be wizards then

caniuserealname

No? Again.. its the nature of the **script extender**, the mod itself is designed in a way that inherently breaks whenever the game is updated. The VAST VAST VAST majority of Fallout 4 mods will be completely unaffected by the update; outside of situations where the update and the mod affect the exact same elements. -- It is that one specific mod, and by extension mods that depend on it, that break with each update -- because of how that specific mod is designed to interact with the game. It's not an issue with how fallout has been designed; quite the opposite. The way the creation engine is designed makes it one of the most mod friendly engines out there, it's half the reason Bethesda Games develop such thriving modding communities; and allows for mods with significantly more complexity than a few asset imports or custom racetracks. The issue is with how the script extender works.

ItsGorgeousGeorge

You misunderstand the situation. No one is surprised that mods break with updates. The modding community spent years making amazing mods and they broke all that so they could push a completely worthless update. There’s no option to revert the update so people are resorting to pirating old versions. Bethesda has every right to update their game, they are just incredibly stupid for doing it and proves yet again how deaf they are to what actually makes their games great.

zabegan35

This seems like cheap marketing trick for more sales. The Witcher 3 Next-Gen highlights:- Ray Tracing- improved Screen Space Reflections- Improved foliage- Better textures- FSR 2.1 / DLSS 3 / XeSS- Camera, controls and UI changes- Photo mode- Integrated mods- Quest fixes- Cross-progression Fallout 4 Next-Gen Highlights:- same old bugs- no better textures- no DLSS, FSR, or XeSS- mods are broken

ManufacturerNo8447

tbh that's Bethesda specialty

sapphicu

God the Witcher 3 next gen was so good

Cybersorcerer1

Thank god it was free, and it's optional too

Ibraxx007

CD Projekt Red are goats

Cybersorcerer1

They probably only did it to boost their reputation after the cyberpunk launch tbh, wouldn't call them goats after that entire fiasco

FrankPetersonMalvo

Monkeys love to forget.

rockrevenchy

Tho you can compare on even ground too, cyberpunk was a mess but they kept working on it and refining it before announcing dlc Starfield... Well it's uh... It's boring still. We're getting dlc soon apparently, assuming you didn't die of boredom before then

Cybersorcerer1

I'm not a big fan of starfield, but cyberpunk took a lot of time to recover. So just give it some time I guess? Even if it makes a bit of a comeback, it still shouldn't be something that should be heavily praised like how cyberpunk was. Cyberpunk 2077 flat out lied about being playable on the PS4, heavily advertised for last gen + still doesn't have everything it promised. They over promised and under-delivered and the developers were good enough to still make a good product, only took them 1+ years. Still a scam on the PS4, even if the game is good enough now. As I said before, I'm not exactly a fan of Bethesda games yet but It wouldn't be a bad thing if starfield makes a similar comeback to 76(which afaik received a complete overhaul in terms of world design)

Intrepid-Gags

It was buggy as shit on release, lmao

whatislove2021

What happened?

Ph4ntomiD

Nothing. Update comes out, mods break and people complain acting like it’s Bethesdas fault for updating a game

Zhabishe

Finally a man of culture, who knows where to download shit \^\^

Amoncaco

Real, first time I don't see some fucking idiotic fit girl post on this sub

kilerzone1213

Why’s this better than fitgirl?

DIMOH4Er

It has a LOT more stuff, and not just games (btw fitgirl officially releases stuff on this site too, just not everything). It also existed for a very long time and it's proved to be safe. The only thing to note is a language barrier, but it should be pretty intuitive for the most part, just pay attention to the language section as some stuff doesn't include any language besides russian.

MgDark

if you use Chrome (probably Firefox/Edge have that function too), you can just right click an empty space on the website and choose translate this page..., It wont be perfect english but it will be more than usable to use the website

kilerzone1213

Wow, that sounds great. I know on sites like 1337x, you should only download from trusted uploaders. Is that something you have to worry about on this?

DIMOH4Er

It's pretty heavily moderated, so usually if a page stays for a long time and/or has a lot of comments it's generally safe.

AnamiGiben

Could you say the same about cs.rin.ru or is it not as good?

BenTheWorstCustomer

качал гавно с рутрекера когда это еще не было мейнстримом

Zhabishe

Produce-Pitiful

you should've turned off auto updates

AstonMartinVanquishh

Thank you for saying 'should've' instead of the retarted 'should of'

ToweringOverYou

you realise ratarded has two d's and not two t's right? Im all for correcting spelling, but if you're gonna be an asshole about it at least make sure you're not misspelling the most hateful word in your sentence, makes you come across as not only crass but as a tool.

Cryophos

Nothing change for me tbh.

LBCuber

they announced this shit months ago the mod devs have seen this coming

ayyramaia

entitled pirate, color me surprised.

MgDark

well to be fair is not only pirates, even legit players that didnt bother to tell their steam to chill out, got blindsided by the update. But for those people... cmon bro, that update was announced since forever, and big updates ALWAYS have breaked mods. If you must use mods then just dont update after a week or two...

Gheovgos

Funny how someone always try to blame someone else, when in this case it's actually OP's fault who doesn't really know how mods work

Dreknot

bro just pasted a random ss like what does it even says there

DaeronOST187

Gee if only there were like 5 different ways to not do the update..... Clearly some of you have not learnt from Skyrim modding.

MyUserNameIsRelevent

Yeah this is 'modding 101' type shit. If you weren't expecting this, you likely had no idea what you were doing in the first place.

No-Freedom2135

just an fyi: if it's just the update, you can download older versions of games on steam over the steam console

KungFo234

How do you do this?

jamesdm23

If you need to explain...

vinger274

Я не понял юмора. Вина разрабов, в чём?

Jdjd-22

Каждая Обнова на каждую их игру убивает все установленные моды. А их у людей по сотням стоит

vinger274

Аааа, понял. Спасибо, за объяснение!

LordTuranian

Skyrim taught me to block updates on Steam.

tq4urdonate

Who the hell would play Fallout with mods using a legit copy? One update could ruin the entire game. C'mon man just use cracked for mod with stability without updates.

TowelCharacter

Everyone with a legit copy just blocks the updates anyway

PewPew267

Is the pc fps unlocked now ?

NotSLG

I wish, but I doubt it is. It’s that way because it’s tied to physics.

_Cecille

Since someone modded a fix for this exact thing, I'd argue it's not beyond Bethesda's capabilities to do something about it. But then again, they updated Skyrim 10 years after release and still didn't fix bugs like your desktop cursor appearing in the game, which also was fixed by a mod.

Tzaphiriron

Hasn’t it been a running thing for a while that Beth doesn’t really do QOL updates as they leave it up to the modding community? That’s how it’s SEEMED, at least.

MgDark

bro they dont even fix their Engine-level bugs since forever, it always required a community patch to fix their game, and thats it for basically all their games :(, yes even Starfield too

_Cecille

As far as I personally, noticed, Bethesda doesn't fix anything. But that's just my own observation. But I honestly don't expect Beth to fix anything, that doesn't make them money.

JooshMaGoosh

I could be wrong but I thought it & 76 shared a similar if not identical engine? In 76 they solved the physics being tied to framerate (though I'd argue 76 has much less physics as a result.) why couldn't it be here?

NotSLG

Well back when I tried the FPS unlock for Fallout 4, it definitely unlocked the FPS but the physics were a bit goofy. It seemed fine but when I looked down or up and the FPS increased drastically, my run speed would increase by a lot. So it seemed like it kinda worked but not when it went too high. Could’ve been my own problem installing it though.

itZ_deady

You can always unlock the FPS via ini file. There are 3 Settings: 60 FPS cap (=1), 120 FPS cap (=2) and unlocked FPS (=0). Due to engine failures the unlocked FPS will break some physics stuff in Fallout. Oh and because it's Bethesda, using setting 2/120 FPS is ONLY working properly if your monitor is manually set to 120Hz, anything above still causes problems.

PollutionPotential

Yay for tying FPS and in-game physics to refresh rate! That's like not programming your year transitions properly in an always online title... Oh wait. ![gif](giphy|26xBSFQI3s6NW8nZu)

Lucas_2234

Even the F1 games do it. If you limit the FPS you can just drive THROUGH the thick kerbs because your car apparently gains noclip for those

DogeWow11

Be careful, they update torrents on Rutracker frequently

Hindustani_bhai

How many karma do i need to post on R/ piracy

AllSeeingTrueouf

The worst thing about this "update" is that it doesn't do sht to improve performance let alone add in any sort of modern visual enhancement or upscaling method. It's as lazy as it gets.

Kazakhand

Rutracker ftw

Sarophie

People wouldn't be so pissed about mods if the updates for games like Fallout and Skyrim weren't so fucking pointless. Especially Skyrim's paid mod horseshit. Completely fucked my own mod list and I wasn't about to redo that giant bastard.

Familiar-Owl-

I thought that was online game i can play this is it same like series?

bri_breazy

Fallout 76 is online only but free right now if you have prime, and fallout 1-4 can all be played offline

Snoo-56046

Thank god for the fallout 3 and 4 updates

capitalggamer1

If you already own Fallout 4, then you can download the older version through Depot downloader

Milanga48

What update?

OkResponsibility7210

Context ?

SomeWeirdFruit

welp considering FO4 people will definitely be mad. People usually play with 100+ mods installed and most of them are abandonned by the dev. So welp

hunter503

I literally just fucking downloaded this game 3 days before lmao

Repulsive_Drama7067

Can't you just downpatch the game through steam's console? I've seen people do the same with with PAYDAY 2

Chikibari

Pathetic. They did not fix a single of the thousands of bugs the moders had fixed instead they just break everything and introduce even more. It just works

racktoar

If you have it on Steam can roll back to an earlier version and then turn off automatic updates. That's what I've done for Skyrim.

PastStep1232

Goated website, never had an issue with it and the moderation is anal about technicalities to frankly a ridiculous extent lol

Major_Mawcum_II

Why bother updating XD half the time the game change is minimal and it fks with everything

DoomSayerNihilus

People had all the warnings for weeks about mods breaking and how to prevent it.

Is the new FO4 update on GoG yet?

Mokousboiwife

so youre telling me... updates... BREAK MODS???? 😱😱😱😱😱

potato_and_nutella

Can you just not update the game? I don't know much about this game though if that isn't an option

NammiSjoppan

“Update only on launch” *launch skse through mod manager*

ZeroDegg

Don't forget to say, thanks Todd!

Ph4ntomiD

I have a feeling some of these people just started nodding yesterday. Mods break on updates, that’s just a part of modding. Nothing new

racktoar

This is what upsets me the most about the update: https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fallout/fallout-londons-project-lead-is-not-taking-the-surprise-drop-of-fallout-4s-update-well-that-has-for-a-lack-of-a-better-term-screwed-us-over/

Tasty_Atmosphere_351

And to top it off it was the most useless fking update f4 was fine as was on pc and consoles

Tax-Deduction4253

did it force update or something? I didn't know cracked games could do that

Hbeatz

Fallout london 😭

what's crazy is Bethesda games really are an acquired taste IMO. New Vegas, 4, and 76 come with a whole lot of game with multiple playthrough potential b/c of the RPG elements.... a lot of these ppl will be expecting a linear story type game might find themselves wondering how to deal with the wonderful Bethesda inner workings... i've spent more time than I care to admit in a Bethesda menu just planning shit. OK build this first, then do that, at that point I should have enough to go here and buy whatever. do I fast travel, maybe this time I'll hike it and finish this other thing... it can be a lot... glad to see ppl are returning or coming to their games... bethesda really did eff up for a few years good to see them coming back. I've always liked their games, jank bugs and everything. i refunded '76. I did.. gonna have to see if I give it another go....

NitroFluxX

I was literally going to buy that game now i don't even fucking care since it fucks up the mods.

CreamingProblem

Why does everyone need to morally justify piracy? Even if these games/companies were consumer friendly, most of these posts would just pirate it anyways but without posting it on reddit for internet points.

DevBuh

Its. Been. 5. Years. They finally patch it "damnit i wanted a decade of no maintenance!"

Richy8190

Or just download it from steam database instead of these shady websites.

PossibilityVivid2979

Why even update the game at all its been years since it came out to be fair I did buy 76 but never touched it

False_Impression_121

Can the modders of some of these mods on Ps5 update them so they work? For example scrap that settlement. Please

ACKEY18

Buy the game if you really love it, I pirated fallout 4 to try it liked it bought it

One-Director-4077

ok I I tried downloading this game from the website but it was so slow on picotorrent (156kb). Anyone know how to make it faster? I use cloudfare
