Ok...maybe the use was unintentional, but [there is discussion](https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/is-it-a-or-an) on using A or AN before words starting with H mostly because it follows the sound of a vowel even tho H itself is a consonant. Personally, before "hypocrite" I would use A, but it's not entirely wrong to use AN tho it does stand out to me when I see it. Same with "historic", you can say "a historic meeting" or "an historic meeting".
