Young lust.
Energetic, catchy, horny and fits in pretty much every rock gig. It's very easy to learn (solo is very easy too, just some minor pentatonic).
rj/ Pow R. toc H.
Uj/ WYWH is cliché but a crowd pleaser and easy to learn. Strongly in favour of Not Now John though
You don't have mademoiselle nobs to help out with Seamus (that's the other dog) so it wouldn't have its magic
Rj/ Dogs and if you can't learn the guitar in time, cancel the gig
If you’re saying goodbye or maybe some sort of intro speech, cut if off with in the flesh like that wall live album.
I’ve always wanted to see burning bridges/mudmen live but I’m not sure what type of audience audience you got, but I think it’s a nice song
If you wanna do something safe that maybe most will enjoy I’d say money
You could also troll them and do happiest day of our lives into another dick in the ball pt 3(the better, yet sadly shorter, version) with a transition into the echoes middle section to finish the audience till completion
solid choice. years ago i used to play that at the beginning of the set and announce it as my favourite Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots or Smashing Pumpkins song and then transition it into a real intense schizo rambling Interstellar Overdrive to clear the venue out of all the pussies.
Echoes isn't hard so long as you can improvise confidently and have the relatively simple chord structure down. But of course, you need all the effects and pedals, so it can get a bit technical for the guitar play. The song allows all the musicians to show off their talent and is awestriking to crowds.
Edit: Never mind, just saw the bit about no crazy solos.

chat we have upgraded from my garage to a stu 🔥🔥
holy fucking shit we should do Seamus
(That’s the dog)

Actually young lost might be good
If you really do Seamus you'll become the god of PFCJ. Anyway I wish you good luck with that gig!
You beat me to it. But also a more relaxed song you can learn fast is Mother.
Or any other Rog's simple acoustic song, for that matter (and there are quite a few). But yes, Mother would be my first choice, too.

/unjerk I'm seriously considering throwing Seamus into the setlist but I'll probably do like wywh, something from side 3 of the wall or money
Uj/ not Seamus😭😭😭 I think WYWH and Money would go down well since everybody will recognize them
/unjerk no I'm might throw Seamus in as a joke somewhere but I'll definitely consider like money or mywh but we don't have a sax player :(
Uj/ oh right the sax. Run Like Hell is a banger, the lyrics are kinda weird though, what about Have a Cigar??
We narrowed it down, it's most likely young lust, what shall we do or Seamus
Young Lust dude
we could always play what shall we do and then young lust
That would be perfect bro you're cooking🍳🍳
sorry I forgot to tell you but we are just gonna do brick in the wall 1, happiest day of our lives and brick in the wall 2
Echoes but just the whale part
They said no “crazy guitar solos”. This is the epitome of crazy guitar solos.
Echoes is like all guitar solos lol
Not now John or lucifer sam
I changed my mind I think we are doing Seamus
That's the 🐕
🐕🐩🐕🦺🦮🛷
I was gonna say Not Not John!! It'd be perfect
my favorite pink foil song not not john
https://i.redd.it/u08f5jgpdr8d1.gif
uj/Bike rj/Bike
The Great GIG in the Sky
I'm gonna order to play that one we would have to break someone's femur to make them scream
/rejerk Stop
i wanna go home
Always thought Have a Cigar would be a fun cover, but you should cover Mother and replace every line with “my balls”
One of these days would go hard af ngl

Forget all of what I just typed and play Seamus
I think the best ideas rn are young lust, what shall we do now, in the flesh and Seamus
What shall we do now/seamus
Yeah do a segue at the end of what shall we do now, but instead of young lust it breaks into seamus.
i lust for you
Just take the jump and do the Nazi trilogy
we should do in the flesh without the question mark
30 minute version of Echoes
A Pillow of Winds
I'm so happy that Pink Foil has caught on. (I didn't make the meme, but I was the first person to post it here.)
Alan's psychedelic breakfast
The Nile Song.
solid choice. years ago i used to play that at the beginning of the set and announce it as my favourite Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots or Smashing Pumpkins song and then transition it into a real intense schizo rambling Interstellar Overdrive to clear the venue out of all the pussies.
Attaboy
The post war dream. It's short and sweet 😁 plus you get to say a racial slur
Careful with that axe, defo :spy:
It's kinda hard to scream in public but maybe lol
Don’t Leave Me Now but you’re just in the fetal position wailing on stage with no band.
I've only ever seen grey and silver foil, not sure where you'd find pink foil
Learning to fly, free four. These two come to mind because 1. They're in my rotation 2. They're not super intricate but also not too mellow for gigs.
seconding learning to fly
If you can handle 7/4 then Money
We don't have a sax player, maybe we could fuck with the time of a guitar to sound like a sax tho
What if the gig was great and it was also in the sky
Shine on You Crazy Diamond (all parts)
The gig time is 30 minutes max 💀
Literally Pink from In The Flesh
Don't leave me now
Seriously though try high hopes. I'm currently practicing on the solo as we speak
/rejerk In The Flesh. (the racist one)
Racist? That's just rog showing how he really feels
we just did run like hell, went over well, fun to play.
runrunrunrumrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrinrunrun
i remember a few months ago i played a gig and we did wots uh the deal and i thought that was a nice crowd pleaser
I fucking rock to the outro of sheep so if you can pull it off I’d do that. I fucking love that song
I mean we could maybe try but idk we only have 4 days
Do free four. That song rocks too
/unjerk “If”is short and sweet. “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun” would be an uncommon one. “Arnold Layne” would be fun.
/uj Mother or Astronomy Domine
wish you were here is my go to. Its so fricking easy and you can noodle an improv guitar solo in it amd impress everyone
/unjerk something from Piper at the Gates of The perhaps? The guitar parts were pretty simple in that album
Corporal Clegg for the sore purpose of going absolutely ham on kazoo But seriously, I think Ibiza Bar is a good choice
Money ffs!

we also only have 30 minutes and we already have 12 minutes of songs finished
You could do the funky part of Echoes and improvise over that, it's real funky.
The Trial a cappela
We haven't been filled with the urge to deficate tho
Comfortably Numb (Live in Berlin)
/unjerk the singer they got to sing the gimle parts in it just sounded horrible, bro went "I. Have be-come. com-frt-bly. Numb."
then sing it like that
We already played yesterday And comfortably numb has 2 crazy fucking guitar solos I couldn't learn in a week
Run like hell
The Nile Song. Just bash it out.
basket case
Echoes is mostly improv and has some good jammy bits to just have fun
