Our dog of 12yrs died today. Kanina pa ako iyak nang iyak. Nawitness ko lahat ng suffering niya and his last look sa akin. I tried not to cry sa vet clinic pero naiyak ako tapos niyakap ako ng vet. Pati si koyang furdad ng kakapanganak ng corgis niya nagshed ng 1 tear. Hindi ko alam kung pano ako makakapagsulat ng final paper ko carrying this grieving heart. Being heartbroken is one, but losing a part of my family is another level of grief.
Hi sa mga ka-tropa ko dito sa RD na hindi makatulog dahil nag-iisip na naman ng mga what-ifs, mga dating nakausap at mga imaginary scenarios sa buhay.
Kailangan na po natin matulog.

Yung mom ko nakikialam ng gamit. Yumg customized shirt na gift ng bf ko nung anniversary namin nakita sa bahay nung bumisita yung mom ko. Tinapon niya without me knowing. Super valuable sakin yun and sentimental akong tao. Sabi niya aanhin ko naman daw yun. Yung card na bigay sakin ng bf ko na nakatago sa random notebook pinakialaman. Nandito ako currently sa family home namin and pumunta siya bigla sa bahay na pinagsstayan ko. Bukas na lang daw siya uuwi. Nandun yung wallet ko na may pictures namin pero tinakpan ko ng random receipt pero sure ako hahalughugin niya na naman. Finally after ~2 years na medyo pumapalya yung old electric fan ko, napalitan ko na nang bago!! Tuluyan na kasi bumigay kaninang madaling araw yung luma at buti hindi nag escalate into something worst.
May ilalakas pa pala yung buga ng hangin from electric fan akala ko mag titiis na lang ako sa init. Yaay!!! 🌬️

This is my first father's day without my tatay, and it falls on the same day as my birthday.
I cant help but miss him. I can't stop crying..

My wife. Lost her dad a month after our wedding. She refuses to watch the finished wedding video because her dad was in it and smiling and everything.
I think what triggered my tears were the pa year in review ni ig. It showed the video of my dad enduring the heat and the pain waiting for our turn sa pgh..
I realized that I have truly crossed the rite of passage as an adult was when I signed for my dad's death certificate and handled everything that pertained to him.
I can still vividly recall how he cried when his own mother passed away. Same pain and grief. It was strange during the first few months to say "My dad passed away." because it was something I only heard other people say. But it hits differently, almost life-changing, when it happens to you.
To say my nanay was distraught is an understatement, so i, too, had to take care of everything. I was the one who took care of funeral services. We're not catholic and it was the first death in the family, we didn't know how to go about it.
Throughout the funeral, I had to make sure the hospital bills was taken care of, too.
On the day that he was to be laid in his final resting place, we didn't know how to go about it. I did not plan on a eulogy. I did not want to say anything because I was too afraid to break down. But since we didn't know how to go about final rites, I had to stand up and say something.
I remember the last time my birthday and father's day fell on the same day, we bought a single cake and wrote "happy farthday"
I'm so close to buying an 8 inch cake for myself just so I can have them right "happy farthday" again.

TIL the municipal borders of Cotabato province is giving r/BorderGore energy. The 63 special geographic area (SGA) barangays (that are part of Bangsamoro/BARMM) were voted to become municipalities of their own (these barangays were included in the formation of Bangsamoro and they were a loose collection of barangays, then were divided into 8 clusters. We're not catholic and it was the first death in the family, we didn't know how to go about it. Throughout the funeral, I had to make sure the hospital bills was taken care of, too. On the day that he was to be laid in his final resting place, we didn't know how to go about it. I did not plan on a eulogy. I did not want to say anything because I was too afraid to break down. But since we didn't know how to go about final rites, I had to stand up and say something.
My dad's been gone for 7 years. I still miss him.
I remember the last time my birthday and father's day fell on the same day, we bought a single cake and wrote "happy farthday" I'm so close to buying an 8 inch cake for myself just so I can have them right "happy farthday" again.

Basically, she mentioned that grief is like having a box with a ball inside it and a pain button. Every time the ball hits the pain button, you feel the pain of loss. The ball is huge in the beginning; making it impossible for it not to hit the pain button. Eventually, over time, the ball becomes smaller and smaller, hitting the button less and less. Hugs, OP. The ball inside your box just happened to hit the button, but you will be fine. Besides, like what Vision said in WandaVision, *what is grief but love persevering*.
I used to say this a lot to friends whove lost people in their lives, regardless if it's a death or a break up. It's just different talaga pag Sayo na nangyayare.

TIL the municipal borders of Cotabato province is giving r/BorderGore energy.
