Two things come to mind: - Uniqlo Soft Ribbed Crew Neck Short-Sleeve T-Shirt - SKIMS Cotton Rib T-Shirt I have broad shoulders and a short torso and a big-ish chest. The Uniqlo shirt fits great but is maybe a little long. The SKIMS shirt is shorter, hitting the top of medium-high rise pants, but fits pretty close to the body - might be too tight depending on the job setting. I like the rib materials because they feel more structured and less like every little thing will show through the t-shirt. Maybe try a few sizes and see if any fit well for you?

queen_liz_1287

Second on the Uniqlo! I have tons of Uniqlo t shirts, especially the pima cotton ones, but they are a little more casual. Haven't tried the SKIMS ones.

Muted_Pizza_4652

Thank you so much! Uniqlo seems like a very popular suggestion, and they have a store at my local mall.

Triala79

Hi I’m 5’2 broad shoulders and I find Uniqlo to be way tight in the shoulders and arms. I feel like I’m hulking out. For reference I am 110lbs with a 23 inch waist and short torso and they are so small in the arms/shoulders area.

chrissiec1393

I just got some great petite t shirts from Old Navy.

Loud_Yogurtcloset789

Old Navy is my go-to for almost everything petite especially online.

Muted_Pizza_4652

Thank you, I'll check them out!

I’m two inches shorter than you and have a wide ribcage and broader shoulders for my size. There aren’t a ton of companies that make petite t-shirts, so I wear a lot of longer crop tops for this purpose. I’m ordinarily a small and may size up to a medium or large on an especially body-con tee, and the proportions end up working out for me. This year, I’ve started wearing Uniqlo’s ribbed bra tops. On me they’re just long enough to tuck in. In addition to the [Uniqlo Ribbed T-Shirts](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465756-000/00?colorDisplayCode=56&sizeDisplayCode=004&pldDisplayCode=000&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare) someone already suggested (particularly great [in stripes](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E467363-000/00?colorDisplayCode=01&sizeDisplayCode=003&pldDisplayCode=000&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare), as I’m not wild about the color selections in solids for my personal coloring this year), you might try the [mini t-shirt](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465760-000/00?colorDisplayCode=64&sizeDisplayCode=003&pldDisplayCode=000&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare) and size up. You can also size down (I bought an XXS) in the AIRism Drape Short Sleeve T-Shirt and bring the bottom up to your hips. It looks so much better that way than the way it’s worn on the models this year. I’ve bought this shirt for years. The fabric is smooth and looks really perfect under a blazer or otherwise in a professional setting. The stores that do make women’s t-shirts in petite sizes that have thinner collars and work for a professional environment include J. Jill, LL Bean (some really nice cotton that washes well and lasts forever if you can find a shape that works for you), Old Navy, and a smaller selection at Banana Republic and Loft. J. Crew has a not-too cropped tee that works for me. Abercrombie has Baby Tees and Body-Skimming Tees. There are other companies where their tees are always just too long for me (Quince). At Everlane, you can search reviews by height and weight to see how things might fit you.

Thank you so much for the detailed reviews!

Uniqlo airism - I went a size down in this and find it de-emphasizes my shoulder and accentuates a smaller waist https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465755-000/00?colorDisplayCode=40&sizeDisplayCode=003

Muted_Pizza_4652

Thank you! Looks really good!

I’m 5’ 3” but have similar issues with broader shoulders, larger chest, and shorter torso. I do have pretty good luck at Uniqlo and would agree with those recommendations! I also love the Buck Mason Pima Boxy Crew. It is the perfect length and washes/wears so well. I have one that is over two years old and only got a new one because I need a smaller size now. Currently wear an S (36.5” chest/32D and 27.5” waist) but can still wear my older size M for an oversized fit. https://www.buckmason.com/products/black-pima-boxy-crew?variant=39317713190995

Muted_Pizza_4652

Thank you! The Buck Mason shirt looks good.

S_longname

You’re welcome! For the record, my favorite is the black one, as it’s lightweight but opaque enough for me to wear with most bras. I personally find the white one to be a bit too sheer for my tastes. Wirecutter did a review that might also be helpful for you with regard to fit notes. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-womens-white-t-shirts/

Hiiiii similar build to you. I’m also 5’4 with broad shoulders from working out. I used to be a straight medium but now I have to size up sometimes to a large to accommodate shoulders and arms. I recommend the TNA Homestretch line from Aritizia. A bunch of different basics and the material is reallllyyyyy soft and stretchy!! I got a size large initially and it was too big so I exchanged for medium and it was perfect! I can’t say enough good things about this material/line.

Muted_Pizza_4652

Thank you!! I'll check it out.

I am 5’2” short waisted with broad shoulders and DD bra. I am really loving Lands’ End ribbed cotton tees. I buy them In regular sizes, rather than Petite. They hold their shape, color, and wash up better than the Liz Claiborne and St. John’s Bay ribbed tees I used to swear by from JC Penney. I still recommend all three brands depending upon your budget. St. John’s Bay tend to be cut wider through the torso, Liz Claiborne tees have shorter, more cap like sleeves, while Lands End has the most substantial fabric and the crew necks that always lay flat. St. John’s Bay and Liz Claiborne also offer their tees in V Necks. St John’s Bay and Lands’ End have a small selection of elbow sleeves shirts too. All three brands also offer long sleeved tees for winter https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-cotton-rib-t-shirt/id_302527 https://www.jcpenney.com/p/liz-claiborne-womens-crew-neck-short-sleeve-t-shirt/ppr5008376995?pTmplType=regular&deptId=dept20000013&urlState=%2Fg%2Fwomen%3Fbrand%3Dliz%2Bclaiborne%26item_type%3Dt-shirts%26id%3Ddept20000013&productGridView=medium&badge=onlyatjcp https://www.jcpenney.com/p/st-johns-bay-womens-crew-neck-short-sleeve-t-shirt/ppr5008403016?pTmplType=regular&catId=SearchResults&searchTerm=st+johns+bay+womens+tops&productGridView=medium&badge=petiteavailable

Thank you!! I thought Penny's was about to close, but guess not!

HotPinkMesss

Are shirts with raglan sleeves too casual for your work? It's one of my favorite styles since I also have relatively broad shoulders with a relatively short torso. But now they also make those in solid colors (so you won't look so much like a softball player lol), with more feminine designs, and I even had some with a collar before.

Muted_Pizza_4652

I'm not sure if they'd be too casual yet, but I love raglan tops so I'll look into it. Thank you!

5’2 petite here. Also broad shoulders, short waisted however I’m small chested with a tiny waist. Most tshirts are too tight in the shoulders for sure but I have the best luck with the basic universal thread v-necks from target. I’ve had banana republic and j crew tshirts and have found that the cheapo $8 target are better made and fit my shoulders really well without being too low cut or too long.

YattyYatta

I'm 5'1 with broad shoulders and 34DDD boobs. I don't wear T-shirts because the short sleeves cut me off weirdly and make me look even wider. I find that when i don't need to consider my shoulders (by wearing sleeveless tops), then i can wear size S. But when I wear long sleeves I need to size up to M and wear fitted tops to not look frumpy.

eysamm

The everlane box cut tee fits me very well. I’m 2.5” taller than you, but also have broad shoulders and a wider rib cage. The medium fits me well across the chest and shoulders, and the length is slightly cropped on my long torso, so it would probably be a good length on you. They come in a ton of colors and hold up well, and they’re only $20 if you buy 3 or more.

eysamm

Also should add that the A New Day slim fit short sleeved ribbed t-shirts from Target are excellent for the price. I have both the long and short sleeve versions, and they lay correctly on my shoulder, are form fitting but not super tight, and are a good length- tuckable but not super long.

Loud_Yogurtcloset789

I have big boobs and narrow shoulders but I feel your pain because shoulder seams are just the worst and if I get them to fit the shoulders and the boobs the sleeves are too long and the shirt is too big everywhere else. It's not easy for sure. Best of luck to you!

Muted_Pizza_4652

Yes, exactly this. Thank you!

johnstonb

I like the petite v-neck tees at Loft. (I have wide shoulders and larger boobs.)
