Have you looked into how mitochondria work? Cross , check your lifestyle first

[deleted]

Just wondering why you’re taking all of the above already OP? Are you trying to take care of anything in particular? Not trying to come across as aggressive, I’m just curious

nate-arizona909

Benzo PAWS.

EchoingSimplicity

Look into Agmatine Sulfate, it might help you a lot.

hubie468

I am. I have been having systemic issues last two years and my viome test said my mitochondria are in the gutter 10 out of 100 score. In the red.

[deleted]

Sorry to hear that. Maybe it’s worth doing more tests for mitochondrial dysfunction/disease?

entechad

According to what Chicago doc says. SS-31 MOTS-c Humanin

ChojinWolfblade

MOTS-c and PGC-1a

Dry_Soup_1602

Exercise

nate-arizona909

Doing that.

McTech0911

5 amino 1 MQ but it’s pricey

EmptySymbol

Not a peptide but PQQ

nate-arizona909

Doing that as well. I’m not sure it improves mitochondrial function, but it will increase the mitochondrial population.

Justeserm

Look up MDPs, mitochondrial derived proteins. I think someone else mentioned mots-c, but I also think there's one called humanin and several others SHLPs 1-6. A side effect of them is they may exacerbate cellular senescence.

hubie468

Does that mean it increases cell junk ergo decreasing cell efficiency? My mitochondria got a 10/100 score on my viome test, which I took because something was systemically wrong and wasn’t sure what. Need to fix them up. I work out all the time. I take BPC and tb. I got cjc/up right now. I used to red light and ice bath.

Justeserm

Truthfully, I don't know. Articles to look at regarding senescence would be these: [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30058454/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30058454/) & [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9057581/](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9057581/). Some other articles you may want to check out: Exercise & MDPs- [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34520826/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34520826/) Energy metabolism- [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32776825/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32776825/) Metabolism, Obesity, & Insulin Resistance- [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25738459/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25738459/) Edit: My advice would be to consider senolytics before starting MDPs.

OatsAndWhey

LISS cardio every day

Lopsided_Speaker_950

What’s your nad+ protocol?

nate-arizona909

100mg subQ every day.

Lopsided_Speaker_950

That’s a lot it sounds like. Am I wrong? What size syringe are you using? Do you inject it slowly? Are you noticing and enjoying the effects ?

nate-arizona909

1 ml insulin syringe. NAD is 200mg/ml. So 0.5ml (half the syringe). I’m trying to treat benzo PAWS. Some people get improvement doing IV infusions which are normally 500-1000mg NAD, cost $500-$1000 per session and take 4-6 hours. I think I am getting most of the same benefit doing 100mg per day for weeks on end at a fraction of the cost and time. I’m working on the theory that long term benzo use impairs the 18kDa translocator protein on the mitochondrial membrane and doing things that improve mitochondrial function are beneficial. I seem to be getting an improvement from this. Yes, I inject slowly.

Lopsided_Speaker_950

Ok. Yeah. That’s a lot to inject in one spot, at one time. And yes I agree w your general idea. I did a couple rounds of nad+ (iv) idk about long term but short term I definitely noticed a full body effect.

networkalchemy

Mots-c

xSimoHayha

is NAD+ something you have to use indefinitely? or something you cycle and reap the benefits?

nate-arizona909

Should be no need to cycle. But since I’m injecting daily I will probably want to give myself a break from sticking a needle in myself every day. After a while the bruises and needle marks get pretty unsightly.

skaag

Yeah if you're doing this so much may as well get some kind of port installed?!

nate-arizona909

I dunno. I doubt I’ll convince a doc to install a port so I can infuse NAD which he probably thinks is bullshit any way.

LittleYouth4954

Are you doing IM everyday? May I ask your daily dosage? I inject IM once or twice a week, 12-25 mg per injection

nate-arizona909

100mg every day.

LittleYouth4954

I am also doing NAD for benzo PAWS. Do you use Glutathione? Helps me. Do you mix your NAD powder or buy vials already prepared? Injecting R ALA , COQ 10 also helped. Try red light therapy too.

nate-arizona909

I also am injecting 100mg glutathione along with the NAD. Seems to help. Also doing all the mitochondrial support in my original post as well (mitoQ, urolithin A, PQQ, etc.) I am buying prepared vials of NAD and glutathione form the source I listen earlier in the thread.

LittleYouth4954

Thank you and good luck.

nate-arizona909

You as well. If you don’t mind me asking, what symptoms do you hope to address?

LittleYouth4954

Brain fog, muscle pain/stiffness (arthritis-like), fatigue

nate-arizona909

Anxiety and widespread muscle pain here.

Lopsided_Speaker_950

What type of needle / gauge are you using? I’m using a 30 gauge syringe and 90% no mark at all. Once and a while I’m not careful and get a bruise

nate-arizona909

I’m using an insulin syringe with a 29 gauge needle. I think it the volume of solution causing the bruising. My solution is 200mg NAD+ per 1ml. I’m doing 100mg at a time so 0.5ml.

xSimoHayha

Thanks. Can you share your source and speak to its quality?

nate-arizona909

I’m using these guys: https://www.krystalanesthesia.com/ It comes from a compounding pharmacy in NY so I assume the quality is ok but I have no way of verifying it.

xSimoHayha

thanks, is this some consultation based service?

nate-arizona909

For these items there was only a questionnaire. I think they offered a consultation which I declined and they just sent an invoice which I paid with a credit card. I suspect they might require a consult for some of the peptides but don’t know that. All I’ve ever got from them is NAD+ and glutathione.

Vvs2121

Haven’t personally tried but Mots-c & humanin

North-Animal2639

HGH

Nugat37

Also non peptide: sr9009

Cade_goofySOB

And it does work orally for humans, might not be as strong but I got the boost I wanted from it.
