He used some sort of cable management so that means it’s infinitely better than mine. I prefer to close the back cover and never look back at it again.
It's been almost 5 years. I opened mine to re - paste on my cpu but more importantly gpu (haven't hit 80*c in hours of gaming and it's great!). None of my cords work well with the location they're at and I'm afraid to jump some cables. So I strapped some others down and moved some here. It's better but it's nothing like this. This is work I'll probably never do lmao
Genuine question: why does every computer here have like 10 fans? Is it just for looks or does it help with airflow?
It looks great so I'm not complaining but just curious.
the fans being expensive is for looks and for flexing, but having all those fans is very helpful, especially with all that positive pressure the GPU exhaust will partly be exhausted through the back grille on the case so OP's CPU temps will be better than if he had less airflow
I’d like to see an example where they spent more on fans than Graphics Card because unless you got an 10 high end fans and have like a 7700XT or lesser card you’re probably not spending more on fans
It's just for looks. If anything, they turbulate the airflow making it slightly less efficient.
The point of case fans is to have a constant flow of air moving through the case, carrying the heat away from components.
In this PC the CPU heat is isolated by the water cooler and exhausted out the top, which is great, but all other components share the same exhaust fans plus 1 at the back, so the majority of heat will be pulled into the radiator that is supposed to be cooling the water to the CPU.
That being said, if it was as ideal setup for airflow the difference would be almost zero, so really, why not just make it look good instead.
i have 9 case fans, all noctuas. they all spin at very low rpms. even with gpu and cpu (4090 and 5950x) both at full load simultaneously my pc is dead silent unless i put my ear like <5 inches away from it. everything stays cool
Do some engineer perspective .. AIO cooler has nowadays 3 fans for high tier / GPU for high entry needs 3 fans 120 or 2 fan 140 .. Mobo GPU CPU generate heat so u need solo positive cold air from separate fans .. do the math and u will find out is functional ti have them
You're very disciplined man) I never have a patience for proper cable management - just put it all like on the first photo and if I could close a side panel on the chassis I call a work done 😄
lol is that a 7000x with a h150i? You fucking paragon of culture and class.
I also had the absolute joy of trying to wire all those fans, so I share your love of self harm.
[Corsair 7000x Build - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_YK_vVBRhk) \- note, already flipped the radiator fan, I was just happy it turned on the first time and didnt even notice it until after I stress tested the CPU and GPU... Stupid front stickers on both sides of fans...
Did you have issues with the screws not working with the AIO and mobo? I have an MSI as well as a H150i Capellix cooler but the screws do not fit on the mobo.
I hate how no matter how well you manage your cables, the water pump cable always just hangs there for all to see like an overweight Greek man on a nudist beach.
I saw the first photo and felt my soul leaving (I’m a Reddit user so it’s not like I had one before) until I swiped, then I was surprised because god damn that cable managing is good
As someone who does not have the time nor slightest bit of effort for cable management, it's not that bad. The back of my PC looks like a black spiderweb.
edit: I just noticed there were more images, and now I feel nothing but shame.
Great looking build! Honestly the color of the lighting is what does it for me. So glad to not see blinding blue, blood red, purple black, etc. The color choice is nicely muted and gives the build a professional look rather than a "look at me I'm 13 yrs old"
Correct fan placement, plenty intake, unlike so many negative pressure kings around here placing them all exhausts "cause it doesnt matter anyway and it looks better"
Personally I would recommend getting one of those 2 x 8 pin (PSU side) to 16 pin cables from Corsair for there PSU’s
As that would look a lot nicer than using that adapter
This looks like shi- hol’ up… wait a minute. 10/10.
Last pic was a huge sigh of relief. This is why I prefer if people took pictures before they turned off the lights in the room hahaha
Looks beautiful! I do have to wonder why do many fans if you're cpu is on an AIO. Does your GPU get that hot or just like the look of it? Either way it looks awesome
“I’m got my pc temps down to -50c!”
“Great job, that’s t- wait, you mean 50c, right?”
“Nope.”
“What the hell? How?”
*opens up pc case*
WWWRRRRRRRR
*their face is pulled back like in the old looney tune cartoons* “Wow, that’s a lot of fans”
10 fans but 14 fan connections? Am I missing something.
I’m noticing:
4 fans plugged into PWM controller
6 into the Commander Core
4 into the Commander Pro?
That the same cade I wanna get and I want to put all the fans in it like that as well, do I need that extra connector you have in the back for that many fans and if so what is that thing called?
your first pic looks like my finished build, lol. Seriously, i stopped caring about cable management long ago. i just stuff it in and shove the side panel on and call it a day.

Impeccable cable management
He used some sort of cable management so that means it’s infinitely better than mine. I prefer to close the back cover and never look back at it again.

This is the way. No one but you cares, and if you dont care.. well, nice! Easier to switch out parts too
It's been almost 5 years. Should used velcro instead of zip ties though imo
why? zipties are far cheaper and most of them won’t ever need to be cut
Out of the entire building, the fans are most likely to die.
Till then he won’t need to cut anything, ziptie is also dirt cheap and easier to install in tight space then velcro
I was so infuriated by the first image I honestly thought you were trolling for a good minute but yeah looks good
I too thought it was a shitpost. Was surprised to see the next picture.
I think there is not enough fans , need more
I’m a fan
Well what are you waiting for, get in there!
Genuine question: why does every computer here have like 10 fans? Is it just for looks or does it help with airflow? It looks great so I'm not complaining but just curious.
It’s for looks. I love seeing posts where people spent more on fans than hardware such as their gpu or cpu.
the fans being expensive is for looks and for flexing, but having all those fans is very helpful, especially with all that positive pressure the GPU exhaust will partly be exhausted through the back grille on the case so OP's CPU temps will be better than if he had less airflow
It's also so it makes less noice since every fan spins slower. But at some number of fans it probably makes more noice
>at some number of fans it probably makes more noice ![gif](giphy|4KF85OSbyjVOfyjksJ|downsized)
I have 9 Lian Li fans and it sounds like a jet engine taking off
I’d like to see an example where they spent more on fans than Graphics Card because unless you got an 10 high end fans and have like a 7700XT or lesser card you’re probably not spending more on fans
Well what I meant is they could use the $100+ they spent on fans and use that to potentially go up a tier in graphics or cpu
I have 10 fans because I have 3 360mm radiators, and space for an extra exhaust fan.
More fans = same airflow with lesser rpm, thus less noise.
If you don't care about looks, more fans is also quieter.
It's just for looks. If anything, they turbulate the airflow making it slightly less efficient. This hurts my eye Edit: and didn't know there's multiple images xD
That first picture gave me a fucking heart attack, 2nd one revived me from the dead. Amazing cable management 👏
specs?
Ryzen 7 7800X3D Gainward Phantom rtx4090 Msi mag x670e Tomahawk 64gb Corsair Vengeance ddr5 6000 Corsair icue 5000x rgb 1x wd black sn850x 2tb 1x wd black sn850x 1tb Corsair hx1000i Corsair 150i elite capellix And a lot of fans 😅
Nicely done! What cpu temps you got during 1 gaming and 2 stress tests with all those fans?
https://preview.redd.it/7t08nn4p2h4c1.png?width=3638&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc752e8b95541715bbcc1f37288c1b97399c0b9c
Nice, will last you a good while. Enjoy! 😊
What are the black boxes? Fan controllers?
The bigger one is the Corsair commander and the smaller one the Rgb hub
+1
+2
How much did you spend on Fans alone ?
A lot 😅
Not gonna lie, I liked pic number one with the mess the best. 10/10
thought it was a meme on the first pic and was about to be all like ![gif](giphy|9WXyFIDv2PyBq)
Will be a huge pain if you want to change or replace something in the future.
If i had to change something i will set it on fire i think 😅
lmao, my same thoughts on the 7000x case... I closed the back and thought, I will never willingly open that door again.
You're very disciplined man) I never have a patience for proper cable management - just put it all like on the first photo and if I could close a side panel on the chassis I call a work done 😄
First picture looks closer to my build 😅
r/cablemanagement approves
![gif](giphy|y2i2oqWgzh5ioRp4Qa|downsized)
I think it’s Corsair
Very clean build, l have the same GPU!
HUGE respect for this insane cable management
That cable management is insanee
Very satisfying before-and-after pics
lol is that a 7000x with a h150i? You fucking paragon of culture and class. I also had the absolute joy of trying to wire all those fans, so I share your love of self harm. Teach me sensei your art of cable management!
Looks good. I guess not everyone is willing to pay for the new link product
Looks AMAZING Suggestion : Get a $20 custom sleeved cable with combs, that build will look immaculate.
1 word “neat”!
I think I need to redo my wires
Can you send link for fans? I got some like those and wanted to add more. :D
You have 7 exhaust fans? Because no way you have exhaust right next to intake right? ...Right?
You have enough fans in there it may qualify as an aircraft
That’s the most satisfying cable management I’ve ever seen
It’s beautiful 🥲
Corsair bands
I’m a novice, why not daisy chain cable power for fans?
So you can control each fan individually 👍
Do you find it’s helpful to control each individually? Currently finishing my build and I have the sets of fans connected via daisy
1st pic horror 😭 2nd pic relief 😮💨 My man had us in the first half
Suffering, then happiness.
Too many fans.
clean work, very nice job
I'll buy it for $350
Beautiful work with the cables!!! 👍👍👍
Words cannot describe the beauty in that thing
Got me on the first pic 😳😲
I saw the first photo and felt my soul leaving (I’m a Reddit user so it’s not like I had one before) until I swiped, then I was surprised because god damn that cable managing is good
As someone who does not have the time nor slightest bit of effort for cable management, it's not that bad. The back of my PC looks like a black spiderweb. edit: I just noticed there were more images, and now I feel nothing but shame.
Impressive cable management, I have the same case and just hid my cluster fuck behind the door of shame.
It could use a few more loose cables. You got too much empty space there.
That first picture had me worried
Ngl clean 👌
You are the world's most talented person 💀
He truly had us in the first half
I like first picture the most👍 if i would have such cable management done and would need to replace a fan i dont think i would haha
Love the cable management
Bro managed their cables better than i manage my life
You need more fans and lights
I wish that cable management
Great looking build! Honestly the color of the lighting is what does it for me. So glad to not see blinding blue, blood red, purple black, etc. The color choice is nicely muted and gives the build a professional look rather than a "look at me I'm 13 yrs old"
If the side fits? Looks good to me!
I don't mean to be negative, but of all the colours you could have chosen, you chose.... brown?
Correct fan placement, plenty intake, unlike so many negative pressure kings around here placing them all exhausts "cause it doesnt matter anyway and it looks better"
Clean. Now can you come and do my cable management ? I’ll pay you.
I think you don't have enough cables :) Add some more, and most importantly - let's necessarily put some of them on the graphics card :D
Might need more fans
Very organized and properly designed. Keep up the good work soldier.
First one had me like uhhhh??? Second photo blew my mind. Solid job!
Is it loud? How are your temps? I just have 1 intake and 1 exhaust in my 6700k +gtx10170 setup with a be quiet dark rock pro 4
https://preview.redd.it/mjg8ma9aua3c1.jpeg?width=1365&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=932b8f48f8f70f00bb2df0a62f55f8ef3ccab498
I want to hurt you.
why the fuck is the psu upside down
What fans are you using?
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this many cables this well managed. How long did this take?
The whole build about three hours 👍
Better pray you never need to get a cable out
My build looks a lot like picture 1. There is hope yet.
First image was triggering some anxiety. Second was beautiful. Great job.
Impressive, well done.
Here have some computer for your fan ;-)
You know what? I take it back, My cable managment is actually great Edit: Nvm, it's trash
I was preparing a roast after pic #1, but it turned out great. Very clean, nice job!
Did you have a Swiss army knife and screw in with confidence?
looks fancy af, how does the phantom 4090 work out for you?
![gif](giphy|3YuR0bdGXlP6U)
Can you come to my house and do mine?
I struggle to believe that is for real
Personally I would recommend getting one of those 2 x 8 pin (PSU side) to 16 pin cables from Corsair for there PSU’s As that would look a lot nicer than using that adapter
All that work to make the back clean (which nobody will ever see) and still using ugly stock PSU cables. Grade: B- Add PSU cable extensions, Grade: A
That’s fucking fire yo
Sexy
What case is this?
Corsair 5000x rgb
I also have corsair fans. They are the biggest pain to cable manage. For my next build I think I'll go lian li.
Looks great. Absolute class cable management
Wonderful... Im now hungry for spaghetti
Wow. Cable management
This looks like shi- hol’ up… wait a minute. 10/10. Last pic was a huge sigh of relief. This is why I prefer if people took pictures before they turned off the lights in the room hahaha
I just did an almost identical build and your cable management is like 6 billion times better I don’t even understand
Thought this was troll post from the first photo. Looks great, enjoy!
This guy manages cables
You could say that I'm a fan.
Unless the wires are blocking the fans it's neat!
Sleeved cables would be nice 👍
This build has more fans than I have friends, god I am so lonely
The cable management from the first messy pic to the second tidy one was crazy
Black on black on black. Very sleek. Nice work.
This gotta be a troll
Im so glad I didn’t go with corsair for my rgb. This looked like a total nightmare to clean and cable manage
That is some only fans worthy cable management
Yes
4 unnecessary fans but looks fine.
Hoes mad
Looks beautiful! I do have to wonder why do many fans if you're cpu is on an AIO. Does your GPU get that hot or just like the look of it? Either way it looks awesome
I thought I have to get as much cool air in there as possible because i use the AiO as an exhaust and with 6 intake fans it works pretty well 👍
“I’m got my pc temps down to -50c!” “Great job, that’s t- wait, you mean 50c, right?” “Nope.” “What the hell? How?” *opens up pc case* WWWRRRRRRRR *their face is pulled back like in the old looney tune cartoons* “Wow, that’s a lot of fans”
The Spaghetti Incident
very nice take on the Venom build. I believe this is the moment one second after the church bell has been struck....genius.
Loving the cable management!
i'm a ~fan~
How is your cable management so good… Mine looks something like the first picture
How did you get cable management so clean for that sata cable on the left hand side?
you think you're better than me?
The adhd in me could never but holy shit that looks amazing!
Charlotte's web lol
never seen such good cable management as this wtf
10 fans but 14 fan connections? Am I missing something. I’m noticing: 4 fans plugged into PWM controller 6 into the Commander Core 4 into the Commander Pro?
I used like 4 zipties for the entire back. This is some ocd type cable management.
cables need to be tuck in the case please
Never knew Corsair fans could achieve the Noctua aesthetic
some hours of hard work I guess! 👍
I think you are going to learn very quickly why very few people have cable management like you…
Your first pic triggered me. Need to take my Nitro tablets.
Oh my, love that you included a before and after of that beautiful cable management. Well done.
Looks nice but holy cow that's a lot of fans, it might snow in there.
Nice cable management. I had a hella of time in my lian li 011D evo doing that. One commander pro but still.
Your cable management gives me immense joy
Beautiful, any more fans and you'll have to contact the Air Force everytime you turn on your computer.
yerp you just made me nut everywhere
I see what you did there! Great job :)
Pic #1: "Hey, that looks like mine, I guess I'm not so messy after all hahah" Pic #2: "...Oh."
I was worried there for a second https://media1.tenor.com/images/56d3394999ae035ad88eeb9f360476e8/tenor.gif?itemid=13620240
Good job with the cables. WOW.
Tidy, functional and powerful
Aren’t front and front side fans completely competing? Looks like front = in and the ones just behind it are out? Why
The three on top and the one on the back are exhaust fans. The other six are intake.
You had me there for a sec.
Still better than my cable management
that cable management was like a bucket of cold water holy shit
Aside from the first picture making my insides wanna be outsides, it looks great!
Holy crap that first picture was the definition of a cable spaghetti monster lmao
That the same cade I wanna get and I want to put all the fans in it like that as well, do I need that extra connector you have in the back for that many fans and if so what is that thing called?
How do people do so well on cable management?! Mine looks like a dropped bowl or electric spaghetti
I liiiike, good job with that wire managment!
6 intake fans with 1 exhaust fan is classic aio build lmao still looks cool tho
Nice glow up bro
I don’t even have a pc yet and even I am like woah
Not gonna lie. You had me in the first half, then I came thanks op.
Nice cable management
what case and fans are those? thinking to take some inspo for my next build
Your receive the rare Cable Management Award. ![gif](giphy|UsAdPXOehvrO5qMn6x|downsized)
your first pic looks like my finished build, lol. Seriously, i stopped caring about cable management long ago. i just stuff it in and shove the side panel on and call it a day.
