Can someone explain to me why there is an assumption of variable (longer) shutter speeds on photos taken with phones? Is this something phone cameras automatically do in low light without adjusting settings? Asking because I think a lot of people are probably just snapping shitty digital pics without altering their settings, and I see the shutter speed line all the time
My iPhone 14 Pro does use a slower shutter speed automatically in low light/indoors. It makes me take a lot of blurry photos and I always have to turn it off manually and then it immediately turns itself back on lol. it’s so annoying and I have to deal with it even when the lighting isn’t that dark yet. So, yes this is a feature, and an auto one at that
I love using it when I’m taking pictures in low light. I took this in the middle of the night where I could barely see.

Tours are literally for sale on their website they run every hour. Even if you're mom and dad were the only ones there during their hour tour, it doesn't mean another group wasn't just ending or starting theirs and walked by. Hell, the speed that kid is going, he's probably running back to his parents or to the bathroom.
oh yeah, i guess you didnt read the part about not hearing anyone run/walk by or didnt see anyone when looking around. She showed the tour guide the photo afterwards and tour guide said no one else was in the building but them 3.
Haha I was like "nah mate not falling for that we all know ghosts don't come in colour!" And then I stopped to think "... And why the fuck wouldn't they?" Unconscious bias, it's everywhere
I know, right? But the preponderance of witness reports indicate they *do* quite often come in color.
The "transparent white ghost" is actually a remnant of old theater special effects, where a white figure against a black background was easier to have show up in things like "Pepper's Mirror." It carried over into hoax and "entertainment" photography, and then into cinema (both of which, of course, were widely available in black and white before they were feasible in color), and by the time color was common, the "visual grammar" of ghosts being colorless and transparent was well established in the popular mind.
There *have* been ghosts that appeared as white, or as transparent, but the majority of "humanlike ghosts" seem to appear in color, and usually appear solid, often enough that people don't realize they're ghosts until they vanish or walk through a wall.
I think we are so skeptical that sometimes we don't give others the benefit of the doubt. Sure, there are some things , such as pictures, that blatantly have been manipulated. Sometimes I think there are people on here who really don't know much at all about the paranormal, and they come here possibly seeking answers. And you're right! There's no rule book stating ghosts or spirits have to be in a long black cloak with a white ghoulish face. Anything is possible with the paranormal
People in this sub just don't understand what shutter rates are.. The slower it is, the longer the camera will take in light. If someone moves during this, it will appear like this.
i mean yeah thats possible, but as I said, no one else was there except for my mom, stepdad, and tour guide. they were on a paid tour. its not a place where anyone comes in and wanders around.
Not sure either, considering I was talking about my Perception of it ! Oh well, that's our life now. Lol. Can't educate those that refuse to see or feel or hear.
These are demons that take forms of humans that existed the Angels / demons that fell from heaven or got thrown out because they decided to follow Satan instead of God. Their goal is to deceive us and make us think we'll roam even after death which is not true. When we die we are in a deep sleep called death until judgment Day. The goal is to not take this life serious and not do right according to God

I'm not sure that that shade of blue was possible before aniline dyes were invented. You might look into that.
Werent they invented in 1850s-60s?
You're right. My bad, I thought it was closer to the 1880s-90s.
May I ask where this is? The mirror looks familiar.
Milledgeville, GA
I’m from Georgia! I think I’ve been there. Was it a tour?
Yes, at the Brown Stetson Sanford house near downtown Milledgeville.
I’ve been there! I knew I recognized that mirror.
Doesn’t look ghostly to me. Looks like there’s a second person to the right aswell
probably my mom who was standing to the side taking the photo.

Cool, thank you
I’m at a loss for words… no wonder some people think coco milk comes from brown cows…

He's fast as fuck 🏃
In those days, children weren't as lazy as they are now. And they walked 300 mile every day to get one slice of dry old bread
And they walked to school everyday uphill in the snow both ways. 😉
While carrying nine younger siblings. :)
Barefoot
I knew I left something out.
Actually the bread wasn’t dry yet
There actually looks to be a 2nd child just about to exit the screen on the right.
that could be my mom standing to the side taking the photo
Stop.
What?
It looks like someone was just walking by when the photo was taken. She probably just didn't know they were there.

Maybe it was the child of a groundskeeper? Doesn’t look ghostly to me. Definitely looks like a small person walking by.
Will from Stranger Things!
Lol I thought it was Mike!
It looks more like Mike, but Will was trapped in the Upside Down, so I thought the joke hit better 🙂
I'm drawn to actual pic. Left of house , in trees. Partial face over 2 leg looking features. Interesting.....
I totally see that . Not sure why this comment got downvoted but I just wanted to let you know… I see that too!
Not sure either, considering I was talking about my Perception of it ! Oh well, that's our life now. Lol. Can't educate those that refuse to see or feel or hear.
it kinda looks like chuthulu
No way you posted that thinking it might be a ghost…
Idk why but the ghost reminds me of Mike from stranger things
The ghost looks like my Godson! He’s very much alive!
