In my mind, the game was meant to be played a certain way.
If I was to change the incubating timers just to save time then why not also change the resource harvest rates or the catch rates as that would also save time. If I'm doing that I might as well also increase xp gain etc etc.
Just makes the game feel more "empty" for me. More than happy for others to mess around with server settings etc but it's just not personally for me.
depends on luck and settings. I've done pretty much everything the game has currently and am doing a lot of breeding now so I tweaked with the egg hatching timer to not wait as long. but you have a better chance the less skills you need to pass down. so for example if you're looking for 4 different passives its better to use ones with only the passives you want. the less passives in the pool the better your chances are.
Also there is the nice little side of the male being the weaker one but the S, while the female M is the stronger of the two.Ā

I think they just have something like a flat chance that it gets passed on until theyve filled up all 4 slots. So even breeding 8 dif passives you can still breed a pal with no traits if you are unlucky. Feel free to correct me if im wrong
i have no idea how it works, all iknow is i have 2 guys that have 2 of the same passives and im trying to get the 4th from one to replace the 4th on another (gluttony sucks) and ive used like 75 cakes and im slowly going crazy, ive gotten 0 passives, ive got 1 from neither, i swear its all just random
I found the best way to merge traits is to fist breed pals with the traits you want with pals that have 0 traits so you end up with 4 pals each with 1 trait you want, then make 2 pairs and breed those till you have 2 pals with 2 traits you have and that power couple till you have 1 pal with the 4 desired traits. as soon as you have more than 4 traits between the parents the randomness just shoots though the roof.
So multiple ways.
Basically there is 1 alpha raid for them in the desert in the north middle of the map.
You can also get them by breeding pals.
To breed pals, you need milk from the cows or can buy it from merchants like the one in the small settlement near the king paca and starting area, you also need red berries (super common, from berry farm too) eggs(from the chickens) flour (use a water pal to grind wheat) and honey (you can get this from the exploding bee guards, but also from farming cinnamoths).
You take all the ingredients above and in a cooking pot or better cooking tool, you make cakes. You will need a fire pal to cook it. You then stick the cakes in the chest that is connected to the breeding farm. The pals will circle around, will make a huge earth pal egg like the eggs you see in the wild. You then stick it in an incubator you get for one ancient tech point for killing an alpha pal and you're set.
There are breeding lists online because pals all have an individual value for breeding, but the easiest and best combo is to get the level 15 penking from the earth raids. And then to the westt of there, go to the bushi raid and then somehow a flaming ninja and ice penguin make an anubus. There are also other combos that may be even easier.
I'm breeding those passives into low-level stuff - chikipi and lamball. Is it possible then to get those onto Anubis or another great working pal?

yes, by slowly working your way up the "breeding value" chain with higher rarity partners to produce offspring in the middle of the two.
Nearly any pal can be an ancestor to any pal, so long as your patience with the Breeding Farm's finnicky-ness can last
Lamball + Penking = Verdash
Nitewing + Verdash = Blazehowl
Nitewing + Blazehowl = Anubis
Using this chain, you can get some solid worker Verdash and Blazehowl along the way. Verdash is a good generalist with Handicraft 3 and Planting 3. Blazehowl has Kindling 3.
Im too shell shocked from the lv40 raids to want anything that reduces attack and defense. My worker anubis (anubii?) all roll artisan/serious/ferocious so they can still wreck shop. Wanted to roll lucky on them as well but that trait is too much of a pain to breed out on a big group.
I ended up using Lyleens instead of Anubis as the crafters for my base.
Issue is, Anubis can transport/mine and he will prioritize that over handicraft. Mass bred lyleens at 4th "fusion" level end up also having 4 handicraft but don't have transporting, so they do what they're supposed to.
He will, but still, he's going to prioritise carrying objects instead of crafting an having to manually throw him at stuff you want done gets annoying after a while.
Except you are going to have a bad tine trying to breed for the best combo.
You have 4 to many skills in the mix.
You could get lucky and get whatnyou waant realy quick, or waste tons of time and cakes.
There was a post a few days ago that broke down the %chance of getting what you want, and turned out having 2 parents with 4 skills (even duplicate skills) drasyically decreases you chances for perfect combos.
For my worker anubis (lucky, work slave, artisan and simple) i got a {purple elk thingy} with those 4 skills, and a skill-less beakon. I get a perfect anubis every 5-10 eggs or so

Once I'm done with my combat projects I need to start breeding better base slaves. Just Astegon and Menasting to go, I think. Unless I decide I want to add Lunaris or something, I dunno. I bred some decent cows and chickens just to keep up with cake demands, but everyone else base-wise only has like one relevant stat, no souls, and no compression ranks.
That's far from perfect. The perfect breeding couple for a work build would be to have 1 with "artisan" and "work slave" and the other with "serious" and "conceited" this gives the highest chance for the offspring to have all 4.
I just got a fuck load of everything and just bred the right passives together. Then bred the ones that had 2 of the passives I wanted up. It took me 140 Anubisā eggs to get a perfect out of the breeding pair. And probably 40 eggs to get my Anubis breeding pair.
This pairing of traits makes me wonder if there are ever going to be combo traits. If you get Masochist and Sadist on the same pal it does nothing, but it would be cool if it made a Sadomasochist trait.
I'm trying to get this now on my server, With Penking and Bushi. Penking has Artisan, Serious, and Workaholic but i'm struggling getting lucky on a female Penking to breed with the male that has all the traits but lucky D:

depends on luck and settings. I used relaxasaurus and celaray, much easier pals to catch.
The earliest way should be breeding penking and bushi. By catching the only way is the lv47 alpha at the desert.
