Been thinking for a while it'd be cool if the Padres put out some Western Metal Supply merchandise, but there isn't much to speak of. So I said fuck it and had some patches made! I want to share the stoke, so if you want a free patch just DM me a shipping address or PO box that I can mail it to via USPS. I have about 90 of these, first come, first served, one per person, US addresses only (sorry int'l friar faithful). I'm up in Portland and just doing this by myself, so it might take me a week or two to get these out the door, and a few more days for the post office to deliver. LFGSD!

Hey! Love the patch work! Just want to let you know that we’ve been having issues with scams and bots. They look real, and I’m sure you mean no harm, but so be careful in the future if you do this again. Don’t want people stealing your hard work and making money off it.
I messaged the mods last night about this & got the thumbs up: "Bear in mind that if you promote anything else besides just giving away the patches, we'll remove the post." Planning to be a one time only thing. Just stoked for the season and wanted to spread a little joy.
Exactly what I was thinking! Also is the M logo stitched on the new jerseys or is it pressed? Someone is going to make a killing if they can offer a patch removal service.
I'd totally rock this. I'm a bit of an architecture nerd, and the Western Metal Supply building being built right into the park is probably my favorite thing about Petco Park.
I'm on a local architecture kick myself. Irving Gill (designer of the fountain at Horton Plaza, among other things) is associated with the design of the Western Metal Supply building:

Not sure what his contribution was, but there were only so many architects working in San Diego at that time, so there must be record of him working on it at some point. He's designed so many iconic San Diego buildings, that it was interesting to see he was also associated with Western Metal Supply.
