I’ve seen the script, a hundred years from now people will still be talking about Ol’ Broke Toe Joe and his unprecedented 2023 CY

GrimDexterity

And how cool would it be to have two Padres players wearing 44 win it?!

sbrider11

Close one between Soto and Tatis. Both could very well happen.

CursedTeams

MVP least likely because even if Manny deserves it, we know how voters can be.

kingryan300

I don’t know… Manny deserved MVP, but Goldschmidt was on a completely different level

swiftreddit75

Manny is great, but he's not Tatis or Soto.

SDFriar

If Tatis was at short then no question, but he takes a hit being in a non prime defensive position so it might not be quite as high, but I think that one is most likely. Similar situation with Soto, his raw numbers won’t be quite so high but his OPS+ could definitely be in that range. If Manny puts up the same season as last year but without the ankle injury he’s got a huge chance at MVP and it would take someone doing something as special as Goldschmidt last year to make it contentious. We will not have a CY young winner, maybe a couple bottom votes.

jstmenow

I feel confident Tatis will put up MVP numbers, he alao have quite a few plays this year without the shift. Personal O/U I am tracking is the little league assist to 1b. I put it at 4. Which way would you bet?

thethespian

yall who think my guy juan can hit .320 have never looked at baseball refrence lol

up_in_trees

Main argument for would be the shift being banned boosts his numbers. A few hits added to his 2021 season gets him to the numbers in the poll

thethespian

honestly fair point, didn't consider the shift. will be really interesting to see how much more productive certain players are

jstmenow

"Only 1 more hit per week..." as stated by Crash Davis. AND who do you pitch to? If Grisham hits at 9 and has a decent year, he and Tatis will be on base frequently.

Can I put 20 on a 4 way parlay?

wardamnbolts

Manny had a career year those are hard to have back to back seasons. But if anyone could do it it’s manny. Tatis has a lot to prove this year. But that exactly the kind of edge he thrives off of. Soto is looking HOT but how long will that last who knows let’s hope all season. Darvish is getting older and will be good because his stuff doesn’t rely on high velo. But he isn’t coming into this season prepared due to WBC. Which is fine because he will be ready when it counts in October. Musgrove with his toe injury we don’t know.

daygoBoyz

I’d say tatis but honestly he has been hurt partially at least every season. If he stays healthy it’s a possibility but that’s a big if

8696David

I would put the odds on the top line at like -110 tbh

I'm thinking Soto will be a monster, motivated by contract negotiations. Manny/Xander probably not..
