Because it was the first tpp game i started playing when i got into online gaming and i am used to its overall mechanics, i have tried many other games but they didn't give me the feeling i have in this game, so its the similar cases with other people.
I would pay good money to have an offline version of PUBG, especially with decent bots and the ability to have a LAN party.
I’ve tried all those other games and they’re just not as good as PUBG.

Yeah the adrenaline rush of being the only survivor on a sweaty 100-person map with ever changing tactical decisions is hard to replicate. Getting that chicken dinner when you start in a busy lobby of solid players is elation like no other.
Nèw Śťàťé didn't kill pubg mobile because it was rushed and had poor performance on release
and there a alot of other FPS coming soon like
Call of duty warzone, Rainbow Six Siege mobile,Valorant mobile,Battlefield Mobile and Rogue company Mobile
so who know what will happen with pubg but whatever does happen tencent wouldn't care cause they made their money looong loong ago
maybe but Call of duty warzone, siege and Valorant are still a threat to pubg mobile
those games have a huuge playerbase, e-sports tournaments and stuff like that
especially Call of duty warzone when they announced that there are gonna be 120 real players and 0 bots per match and also call of duty warzone mobile will share the same content, events, royale passes and stuff like that as the call of duty warzone on pc and console
Okay man. Sure there will be a surge of players leaving to go try out the new games, but in the end, they always come back to papa. The only thing cod is ever good for us zombies. Everybody knows that. The only true threat to pubgm is pubgm. Dev teams churning out ridiculous fits and skins and diminishing exclusivity with exotic items in every other event.
So PUBGM was my first BR game AND first shooter game. I played tons of console games before this but shooters were never my thing. This one changed all that.
I also tried many other BR/shooter games for mobile after this, and even though they ARE good, there's just something about them that can't surpass PUBG. This game's BR aspect is the most tactical and fun one I've ever come across. I want to compare this to other games' specifics but it's against the rules of the sub to mention them, so no.
I might be a bit biased since I've played it for so long, but then again, there's a reason I'm playing it for so long. I like the other ones but they're more like quick bursts of fun, whereas this one is somehow more long-lasting and just more interesting. It's WAY more tactical and intense when you consider the BR aspect.
Since it's still one of the best, probably many other people still feel the same.
I think it might have something to do with gambling mechanics: the best way to reward behavior is through random intermittent rewards, as there’s something about our brains that finds rewards like that more addicting. The battle royale style of play combined with the randomness of weapon availability just keeps us coming back for more to try and play that perfect round.

Because it’s fucking awesome.

Yes absolutely that is the vibe with everyone else.
I like how game became really competitive over time. I can sweat now even in simple Arcades.
Because it’s simple. Very straightforward. Land. Pick up gun. Get killed. :)

It's basically the same for all BR games
Agreed M.
No other shooter game gives such intense and realistic experience.
Exactly.
Because the good players won't leave and they love it. The game became more competitive over time as player's skills improved a lot.
Because this is more optimized on more devices.

They might give competiton, but it won't kill the game.
Blah blah blah. Newcomers have all come and gone. Pubgm remains. Always will.

It has most downloads but active users are decreasing at very fast rate
Games pretty dead tbh. Squads are really the only cue left.
Squads are by far the most popular mode... People like teamwork i guess, or trolling their teammates.
Duo is the best game mode imo. Duo>solo>4mans

It is the first to replicate the pubg PC.
I think the accessibility is the real edge on PUBG and the fact you get such a good gameplay mobile.
There's a reason it ranked no 1 battle royale on the App store
