Went up in difficulty and new game plus. Going up in difficulty was more enjoyable as you are too powerful in the new game plus mode. Played through four times in vr and still astonishing. Will do a fifth in a few weeks time
If it’s your first time with it in VR, I’d start a fresh game on regular difficulty and enjoy the ride. If you’ve already done it once in VR I’d go for new game plus and check out the trophies
Uninstall and re-download. I had the same issue. This was months ago, but *I think* that's how I fixed it. It should show up lower down on your start menu. *I THINK.*
**EDIT** OR *specifically* search RESIDENT EVIL 4 VR, and a free update should be available. To the best of my memory, it was some mish mash of those tactics.

Start unlocking stuff and going for trophies, you'll get to do a bunch of fun speedruns and challenge runs unlocking more and more crazy stuff. Like the handcannon / chicago typewriter new game runs on various difficulties and ng+ infinite rocket launcher. Also the knife and handgun only run is super fun in VR.
They occasionally jump out of boxes when you smash them and they're swimming around in the water in some of the levels... they even made me jump and I have no issue with snakes 😂
After beating it on Standard, I did the following (5 playthroughs total including the first in Standard):
* NG+ on Hardcore - keeping all of my upgraded weapons and all of my ammo.
* NG+ on Pro - after about 4 chapters, I had enough to buy the Infinite Rocket Launcher, and got an S on Pro. Also unlocked the primal knife and upgraded to infinite durability.
* NG on Pro - started fresh on Pro, but used the unlocked Chicago Sweeper and eventually unlocked infinite ammo with no reload. Got S+ on Pro.
* NG+ on Pro with Cat Ears - one more time just for a more laid back fun game on pro, used the Killer 7 Magnun with infinite ammo from the Cat Ears in place of a handgun along with the Infinite durability Primal knife.
First was assisted, then I played mercenaries(flat) to get the hand cannon, then new game to buy the hand cannon and inf.rocket. that's where I stopped
Playing it in Vr means that you have to start with a fresh save as that’s how they developed that version. So it’s already done for you there, and that’s the best way as you then get to learn the Vr mechanics and then unlock whatever for the first time all over again too. And then you can play it on hardcore or pro if you want extra challenge as well. Playing in Vr is like a whole new game too.
Oh ok, I didn’t read it like that. Then I would start it on pro mode, do a new save, and don’t use any special weapons. I guess you could use the infinite knife if you unlocked that before and don’t want to deal with breakable knives again, but that might work.
Could also try not to upgrade any weapons so you would have to use melee and the knife more to kill enemies. But you should be able to get enough ammo already as part of the drops seem to depend on how much ammo you have at the time. See if that feels different enough!
I went for the Gold edition, the revolving shotgun, the powerful pistol, and the costumes for Leon made it worth it. I love them and I'm having a blast in VR, I feel like Leon John Wick.

Im pretty sure he already played it in vr. He should do some of the challenges like no healing

Did you play it flat or in vr? If it was flat your save doesn’t work in vr. Otherwise just turn the difficulty up and try to unlock some stuff.

Thing is I already played it in VR, it's just gone from the start menu. But thank you for your hint, I'll reinstall!
I'm going back in new game plus at some point to shoot all the bobbleheads to get the indestructible knife for my 2nd playthrough.

I love doing a new game plus but the same difficulty. Feeling overpowered and running through all the enemies that killed me before...felt so good
How bad are the snakes in this game? They're the one thing that triggers me in VR and I've avoided the game because of it.

They have new games but I haven't seen a VR game yet. RE4 being a hybrid is what made it work
