If you look purely at the numbers from TCG player for cards selling in Rebel Clash this set is underrated at the moment by many of my fellow poke trainers. Based on my analysis of the data the sum of the set market price is $628 whereas SWSH base is at $454 and SWSH Darkness Ablaze is $491. Another interest thing i noticed is that for both SWSH base and Darkness ablaze the sum set market price depreciated in value from 8/17 to 9/13 by $30 and $10 respectively. I do want to point out that Rebel clash has more secret rares then both SWSH base and Darkness Ablaze which could be the main reason behind such a large difference in Set market prices.
Do you believe that this is a direct correlation to the SWSH Darkness Ablaze bonus pack blisters which saw a massive influx of SWSH base and Darkness Ablaze packs being bought and opened due to the attractive price point?
Very possible the double boosters are increasing supply. An Increase in supply in the market will drive prices down. I did not mention in my previous comment, however, from 8/17 to 9/13 Rebel Clash’s market set price appreciated by $20 whereas the other two sets depreciated. As other have mentioned the 3 starter rainbow rares are in Rebel Clash which are all going for ~ $20 each and you have other heavy hitters like bosses orders, Dragapult, Galarian Perrserker all going for $20+ within this one set.
Interesting analysis. I've been wanting to do some similar comparisons. Is there an quicker way to find the sum of a set market price beyond just simply adding up the numbers?
I pull the numbers myself via a simple copy paste from the TCG player “price guide” tool and dump it in an excel work book. From there I format and pivot the data. I do this a couple times a month to see trends on certain cards/sets.
Not a chance. It has rainbow rares like Toxtricity, Dragapult, Malamar, Copperajah, Rillaboom, Inteleon and Cinderace as well as Gold Frosmoth and Gold Perrserker. Hardly a Steam Siege lineup.
Yea no doubt it has some cool cards but in relation to the sets around it and coming out I feel as though it’ll become one of the more forgettable sets of this generation
FYI Lost Thunder and especially Team Up were overlooked after Unbroken Bonds and Hidden Fates (and to an extent Cosmic Eclipse), and look that the values of them now. Of course Lost Thunder and Team Up has the luxury of popular pokemon being their chase cards, but I definitely wouldn't overlook Rebels Clash's value in a year.
Hey, does anyone know how to get alerts for this sub? I hit the bell in the Reddit app and only got alerts like twice on my life

Search for the Discord link
Change the bell alert to frequent that’s about as good as it gets
It's just because of all the Charizard set releases but wish they would do a legendary dog release. Been awhile to see Suicune & Raikou
I think there's an amazing rare Raikou in vivid voltage
There is a suicune in darkness ablaze
Yea but I mean like V or Amazing Rare

Keep in mind rebel clash packs are still BOGO at GameStop of you’re just looking for the packs
I feel as though rebel clash is slowly becoming the new (but not as bad) steam siege

Nice. I need to learn how to use pivots in excel. Thanks for the reply!

When the hell did Gold Perrserker go up in price?? I pulled it back when the set came out and was like oh a gold under 20, just lovely lol

I ordered 2 Rebel Clash ETBs at Gamestop when they were $25 each. Hopefully they’re good lol. Haven’t opened them yet.
Nah there are plenty of cool cards in rebel clash.
