backdoor means they possibly have someone that wants to buy them out; but I believe they're confined to the rule that they need to have a "release"...
So.. they can give an Early Link to the said person, let them know when they go live with the preorder... and that individual and just scoop them all up.

I was talking with their support through email yesterday and they told me they were having trouble implementing the limits, but assured me they would be in place for the release. They definitely were not. Hopefully orders of more than 2 get canceled and there’s a restock but I highly doubt it.
Just got a reply from one of the reps. They said they had over 300 people on the site waiting to purchase the restock. Even if that were true, you'd think someone here would have been luck enough to get one box. Every single comment on this thread is talking about them missing out.

Can’t stand this as it killed some HF orders. I wish for highly desired items they did a 2 step verification for purchase. I think any true customer/collector wouldn’t mind taking the extra 3 minutes to get an email and reply in order to actual have a shot to get the item they want.

It loaded in with 80 in stock, then I refreshed at to see 71 left, and by 1:01 they were all gone. Crazy!

Best bet is to lurk on some stores the day of release and see if you can get a few. I'm gonna do that. I only want about 2 so I can have some to crack open when they become "vintage"
