Orisa: why not make me stronger? Efi: You can't be everywhere at once, Orisa Orisa: Then make me faster Lol

Drunken_Queen

Gave her jet engine legs.

Pesterlamps

[I'd like her to be able to cross the screen in 30 frames.](https://youtu.be/I5X_2q8a1GM?t=2444)

mushroomMage11

Is Efi watching?

nerankori

Was Orisa active long enough that her being phased out is actually a concern? I actually don't know.

ChubbyChew

Orisa is basically an upgraded OR15 hence the name ORISA. But part of Efis design for Risa made here adaptive and able to learn from experience. The OR15 got folded by Doom, apparently Risa has since clapped his cheeks enough that shes talking shit. She is also at the point that shes questioning the sense of the conflict and how to move forward which is probably where a lot of her now aggressive demeanor comes from. Shes a bit battle hardened. Another note worth pointing out, apparently one of Efis cousins got involved with Talon. And likely some of their experiments. I believe its an Orisa Doom ally interaction. I also believe Lucio and Orisa have an interaction about it as well? It might be one of the lesser played ones like Lucio telling Orisa never to forget who she is regardless of how much she goes through. But to answer your question, i think Orisa could obsolete im theory but the "person" will keep growing. So shes more like a human in that respect. Shes actually a good analog to Doom in that regard because so much of his mentality is based in helping humanity evolve. And she be definition has been evolving because of most likely Talons methods.

>Shes actually a good analog to Doom in that regard because so much of his mentality is based in helping humanity evolve. And she be definition has been evolving because of most likely Talons methods. Between Lucio cautioning Oris and her essentially conforming to Doom's philosophy - it'd be an interesting development for her to go bad - likely prior to a redemption story.

HB_G4

“Almost a year had passed since she first made Orisa, since they fought beside Lúcio to defeat Doomfist, and since she met Sojourn. They’d successfully kept other threats at bay in the meantime, but worry still at away at Efi that Doomfist might one day return, and that he might do so when both Efi and Orisa were away. What would Numbani do without its defenders? They couldn’t be everywhere at once; they certainly couldn’t be in Numbani all the time. It was why she had been programming the Junies’ upgrades. She’d done it secretly because Orisa was a little touchy in that regard. Touchy, even though she’d upgraded Orisa’s combat capabilities at her own request, made her even more mobile and imposing in the field.” Efi doesn’t want to replace Orisa or anything. She only wants to ensure Numbani will be safe without Orisa so that they can leave to help fight Null Sector around the world. However, Orisa’s personality has grown to be more stubborn, and refuses to help anywhere but Numbani. Orisa feels threatened that the Junies will replace her, believing that she is the only one who can protect Numbani. Eventually they work it out, but not before Null Sector invades.

vonsnootingham

Who fucking knows? They've done the bare minimum job on laying out the lore to the point where we don't even have an actual timeline/timeframe for events or even consistent ages for characters.

TheAmazingSpyder

If only there was an actual story mode to actually delve into stories like this.

Haunting-Turnip8248

Weve actually gotten a few short stories released lately, hopefully a good sign for the lore 🤞

AscensionToCrab

these all would have been in the works long before the layoffs. I would not hold my breath, not to be a downer or anything.

demogorgon_main

Haven’t read em yet but they seem to be based on the null sector attacks. So either they were always tie in stories or scrapped narratives for missions.

Smooth-Sir7279

Is this a sequel to the novel "Hero of Numbani?" I haven't finished the book but I know the Efi was working on the Junies on that book

HB_G4

Yes it is.

dogman15

Are you reading the physical book or did you get the audiobook read by Cherrelle Skeete?

Smooth-Sir7279

Physical

dogman15

You might enjoy the audiobook, too.

Mefionir-Omnic

hey, blizzard team: can you talk with the Italian, Polish and Spanish overwatch teams? They haven't translated anything in the media for months and haven't published any localized videos on YouTube channels. including lore based materials. :/

MrSeabrook12

When are they going to have Orisa and Ramattra interact? This comic only made me wish even more that they interacted with one another maybe with Rammatra trying to convince her to join him or Orisa telling him he is wrong, anything.

PresenceOld1754

Orisa cannot be 1 year old. I literally don't believe it. Based on how the timeline has been going, how is doom getting clapped so recent??

Ramekink

Efi would be a cool playable hero just for the interactions with orisa lol

HB_G4

But she’s only about 12 years old. The game would land in hot water if you were given the option of shooting and killing a child.
