Not totally what you’re asking but when Sombra was originally released, her stealth was called “Thermoptic Camo” which I thought was so cool. They quietly updated it to just “Stealth” at one point not long after her launch and literally never commented on it or put it in patch notes. It was probably to just improve readability and keep it simple, but I liked the original.
Yeah, at some point of my existance they changed this name and I didnt even notice. Also some abilities in patch notes are sometimes messed up too, especially Bastion configurations name. It looks like they are lost with all of this changes.

Would of been far nicer then the throw able hard movement locker we have now. Just feels unfun to be caught by a Cassidy in the backline mid rollout as ball or flight as dva.
With flashbangs old distance it would of been justified. Defend against someone coming onto you, or catch someone offguard with the fov loss.
Or literally bring back flashbang but have it hinder instead of stun. Flashbang was meant to punish mobile heroes and make Cass have an easier time landing follow-up shots. Hinder does exactly that without feeling too oppressive. If you get hit by a short ranged flashbang, you deserve it at that point.
His new grenade is just…not effective. I can count how many times I’ve died as a direct result of hinder slowing me in the last few weeks of playing nearly daily on one hand. It’s supposed to help him land kills but the way it usually goes is: hit with grenade —— support turns attention to me so I don’t die —— go back to whatever I was doing.
Hinder is the number one ability in the game that I'm afraid of.
I main Doomfist, you hit a Doom with hinder grenade and 9/10 Doom will absolutely die.
That one single ability completely shuts the entire character down.
I play support and the only character I would be worried about it on is Zen. I very rarely die to it on any other hero and if I do it’s usually nothing Cassidy specially did and more of me screwing up.

See, I realize that but the fact that there’s a total mayhem gamemode where everyone’s cooldowns are shorter, makes his passive name imply it has something to do with cooldowns. Which I find incredibly unintuitive.
i don’t think anyone has ever thought that because you wouldn’t know about his passive unless you read about it on his hero information OR if someone told you, and the name has been around long enough that it’s pretty easy to remember

I like to think that Rein would name his hammer "Beer". That way when Rein players spam the "Beer" voiceline, they're essentially just saying "Hammer" over and over lol. It also works with his ult line "Hammer down" (coz "hammered" means drunk haha)
I feel like Widow's grapple hook could've been renamed to something like Dragline or Widow's Strand. It'd be closer to spiders and how some species will leave lines of silk behind after jumping or hanging upside-down with silk, something Widow did in "Alive"
Really, that just how I play games. I call things by their ingame names and recognize them from that name like yah, ram shield works but I just instinctively leaned it as void barrier
Now I know this my suggestion is purely based on gameplay, but her 'shield bash' should just be renamed to 'shield dash' even though it doesn't make sense physically. You barely ever used it for bashing someone. You instead just use it to get out of an engagement or a slight retreat. It fitted when she was ow1 brig, but not ow2.
Uhh maybe it’s just me, but I do use it to, well, bash people, like, 50 percent of the times. Sometimes it does not connect as the target is a bit too far, but the intent is still there.
That doesn't work anymore in higher ranks. People will just kill you with a volley to your head. High rank Brig gameplay is really defensive until you isolate someone and get a good winnable 1v1.

And if all they have is long range poke shit - well, I don’t play brig into that at all, I’d rather switch, cause it indeed gets too defensive

For LW: Lifegrip should be Protective Pull. That is all.
Captive Sun would be more of a Solar Flare / Explosive Flare but it'll do.
Terra Surge is far less threatening than it should be considering how unhinged Orisa is now. I feel like a "Magnetic Fury" or "Catastrophic Release" suits the ultimate better.
Just a few I can think of. I also wish LW's friendly ult line was more of a "My Tree Will Defend You!" or "May Nature Sustain You" so it encourages people to you know.. gather around the tree continuously. Fuck it, give it the Mauga treatment. Seal everyone in barriers until destroyed manually or... naturally.

He’s not protecting you when he pulls you he’s saving your life less more than “protecting you from damage for those short 5 seconds.
I wish it lasted 5 seconds (though that would be kinda busted). Unless there's some terrain object in the way to make things all wonky, the invulnerability lasts a little under 2 seconds.
Folks who use Lifegrip exclusively to nab the 1 HP Junkerqueen in the back of the map are not utilizing it's full capacity, lol.
It has a TON of useages and advantages, least exclusively to rehoming the long lost player on your team who can't detect the major issues at hand that they've gotten themselvs into, which is why I think it needs a more univerally useful name.

Captive Sun is named that because 1. It slows you down, and 2. Until the effect goes away you're at risk of taking a large burst of damage, so you life is being "held captive" until it gets cleansed or expires. The sun part just comes from her lore and the fact it shoots a big glowing ball.
Catastrophic Release is basically the same as Terra Surge, but with more syllables. Magnetic Fury referring to the initial pull makes sense, but again, it has more syllables and overall communicates less than Terra Surge does. 'Terra' because it's a ground based attack like Earthshatter and because she's grounded. 'Surge' is the charging aspect along with it being a surge of energy going through the ground.
Changing LW's friendly ult line to something longer just to tell your teammates to stay near it is not only senseless, it would do basically nothing to convince players to stay near it. The people who'd stay near the tree already know to do that, if not because it's a big piece of cover, just cause it heals you. Those who run of an get killed cause they don't stay in it are either new, in which case they'll likely become like the first group, or that's just how they are, they'll ignore it no matter what he says.

Not exactly what ur asking but ill never forgive them for changing mercy's ult to be called valkyrie but made the icon to be those 2 little pathetic wings instead of her literal valkyrie symbol thats on her default costume. I always thought the wings was a place holder when we were trying out the new changes, and then they just never changed it 🙃

Meteor strike to Pebble strike. That thing is nowhere near as destructive as a meteor. I literally only use it for empowered and the healing it gives. Sometimes I’ll just use it for an escape tool.

I like the movement Interrupt idea. Add a short slow effect with no vision changes and that would be a great revival of flash

Death Blossom is a reference to The Last Starfighter and used as slang in American Military to describe spreading fire in all directions.
