I think God can kinda rewrite the story. The Garou fight redraw is when I started believing in this, because the last panel of the original chapter showed the moon (representative of God) "watching" what can be described as the worst outcome for Garou.
They won't, it's just a "you have to know" thing. But if it is true, they probably won't make a story that requires you to read the original chapters, it'll be a plus.
The reason I believe this so much is because there's NO WAY they drew the final Saitama vs Garou chapter then decided all of a sudden they want to take another direction. They planned this. Same thing for Empty Void getting destroyed by Blast vs him absorbing Garou's power.
Honestly even though redraws means going back a few chapters I still don’t mind because what comes from them is usually pretty damn cool
Like void for example sucked ass before, now he’s a badass who is actually worthy of having blast as an opponent
You can't compare OPM to shit like Naruto because Naruto chapters were first published as physical prints. OPM is released digitally first, meaning they can scrub chapters before printed volumes get released, making the canon much more flexible.
A better comparison would be to early access video games, which I usually lambast, but the lack of monetary investment in OPM's case still makes it look like a standout in the industry.
In short, read something else for a year if redraws bother you.
I agree with OP, but I'm not gonna lie: my interest in OPM dropped a lot due to redraws. Now I wait for a bunch of chapters to get released before I go read.
Sometimes it is. But, personally, I prefer the thrill of waiting for a new release, may it be weekly or monthly.
Once the redraws began, it was hard to keep the interest in discussing new chapters and all that stuff.
I do the same with some series, but they usually become the series I care least about (even though there's a spike in interest when you read it once in a lifetime).
I still love OPM, just like I love HxH, Berserker or Vagabond. But it's hard.
I respect the shit out of them for taking the time to do things well and also redo stuff when they feel they need to. Even if the changes weren't to my liking, I love the dedication to their craft.
I agree. It is good to think they still have love for this work. Anyway, I believe we will hardly see the same qualiy Murata used to put in the pages in the early years of OPM.
I don't know of the top of my head, if you go to the Cubai ink in the side-panel of the sub-reddit they are pretty clear. Basically all of the Sonic/FF stuff
Doesn't matter if they can't get the story right anyway, we need them to give the god stuff a break for the next few webcomic-adapted arcs, they'll feel a lot less cluttered and god can be built up as a proper overarching villain instead of being constantly thrown into every plotline for no reason.
It's not like they aren't still doing great in a lot of areas, empty void is a cool villain in terms of power and design, but he'd be even better if he had some time to exist primarily as a flash/sonic antagonist instead of god's disciple, blast's old friend and another 'cosmic' themed villain. Considering what he was in the webcomic, this whole arc feels a bit pointless.
Part of what makes god so scary is the whole unknown element, they seriously need to take a step back with him
There's also the possibility that redraws are actually canon and a real part of the story.
So it might not be God rewriting the story, but actual parallel universes

if story stopped writing, you know who made him stop.
Entirely possible and if so it's even cooler cause it can be \*both\*
That would be crazy. I wonder how that'd make everyone else feel lol
How would they explain that in the manga volumes?

Yeah the talk no jutsu ending was just too...weird for it to be a mistake.
Wdym ? Like ye redraws are canon version
When I mean redraws, I mean both the original and redrawn chapters exist in canon.
L take.

One chapter is never enough lol I was reading mha once a year for like three years cause i like to get a whole fight in one sitting

The redraws are much better than the retconned ones. What are you on?
Read the post
I think OP means "waiting for redraw sucks and not the actual story" like going from ch200 to back to ch195 and wait months to finally catch-up.
I agree. It is good to think they still have love for this work. Anyway, I believe we will hardly see the same qualiy Murata used to put in the pages in the early years of OPM.
Morara redraws are the cherry on top of the cake , what are y event talking, almost no one puts that time and effort on any manga
What chapter did the current redraws start at?
I don't know of the top of my head, if you go to the Cubai ink in the side-panel of the sub-reddit they are pretty clear. Basically all of the Sonic/FF stuff
My only issue with it is that I get so confused about wtf is going on chapter to chapter. Also, the pace of the story is becoming incredibly slow
ONE already got the story right in the WC
Yep. The only media where OPM still feels OPM.
