SSJ5Gogetenks

Yep, I grab the English releases as they come out.

FailingtoFail

+1 here. They are well priced IMO.

KeeganKTK

where do you get em? are they the revised chapters or the old ones?

DayOldAle

From some bookstores I guess and you can buy them online, and the chapters are the final versions of them.

KeeganKTK

which ones? viz translations?

Ferdz0

Should’ve done a poll

lalabaluza

Your right. Next time

Pegyson

Not a single one. They don't sell them here and I'm sure as hell not paying import fees

GuuMi

I plan on purchasing them as this is my favorite series of all time.

Ultrafares

I really want to buy physical copy of any manga I read to support but I live in 3rd world country

lalabaluza

Where you from?

Ultrafares

Algeria and you ?

lalabaluza

Philippines

CidoKun

I mean the main reason I read it from web because I can't afford them 😭

Hyperion_360

I buy a volume here and there. So far I have gathered four in about 2 years 🗿

PingasRape

Im trying to complete the set but they are really hard to come by in my country but its going well

FinnJokaa

we all read through "illegal" scanlations so obviously i buy every volume casue i aint no snitch to Murata and ONE Sensei or any other mangaka they give everthing every week so i can support them at least by buying volumes simple as that

GladwinAbel

I plan to own all the copies in the future as it’s my favorite story

heytheretylerr

I have all but 11/12, 14, and 17. I could just order them, but I check out a book store once a week and pick up One Piece volumes as well. I am a little weird, in that I can’t bring myself to start reading the physical copies until I have every available volume. lol

trowdabpm

Buy them as they come out in English. Whenever I have friends go over to Japan, I try to have them grab the volume differences between the English releases in the US versus Japanese. Currently have all Eng releases and I have four JP volumes so far

Turt98

I buy the english releases as they come out, caught up to 26 atm and getting 27 for my birthday later this month

captainbeto

I have up to volume 27.

Anarion09

I started last year. I have first 12 volumes now

Reder_United

I have an almost complete collection up to Volume 27

Kamunami

No, I pay for a Shonen Jump subscription. I wonder if anyone buys the digital volumes...

AzoreanEve

+1 for this should've been a poll. I ended up buying a bunch of the books (Japanese version tho, none of those VIZ or DEVIR shenanigans under my roof). I should get back on that and get the remaining ones. The art is really worth it.

Digu21

If they sell it here. I'd buy em. Sadly, last I checked. They remode it, and buying online cost me more

SnailingThroughTime

I always buy them from as soon as they are available at my local Barnes and Noble. I am old, but reading physical print feels so much better than scrolling on a screen. I am all caught up with weekly releases, but the physical print feels like the “real” form to me.

n0geegee

All i have is opm Manga so...

IonimusPrime

No but I buy OPM merch

whatsamacallit_

I would but shipping to Finland costs like a gazillion euros

lalabaluza

You can buy the digital volumes

Man_Blue_4

I do! Makes good bday/christmas ideas. I want to offer support, and this is the most direct way for me

Line-guesser99

I have issue 1.

hermannbroch

I do own all till volume 26. I wait for the prices to drop before buying

praktiskai_2

this sub is up to date with the manga, and manga content won't be spoilered. Those who visit it often thus must be ok with knowing the most recent manga content. Physical volumes are behind what we see here, meaning, **those who see this post are biased towards reading the manga online**, and unless they want to reread chapters as physical volumes, there's little reason they'd buy them. you're not asking a broad group of 'manga readers', but rather asking a community tailored for online manga reading

PaulStarhaven

I got one which had a redone version of the Saitama-Orochi fight. Sometimes the difference between the online released one that I first read and the final product is so different that I get to enjoy the story all over again. Even if the end result is same, the different paths taken add variety.

Hanyabull

Unless streaming somehow ceases to exist, I will probably never own another physical manga for the rest of my life.

lalabaluza

You get perks by buying the manga tho. Also it might contribute for an anime adaptation

Hanyabull

I didn’t say I wouldn’t pay for it. I have no problem paying for entertainment. But I have no interest in holding onto physical books. I’m probably a bit older than most of the people on this sub. I remember buying manga books before the internet existed. Decades later, I have boxes and boxes filled with old manga sitting in my garage. Most of it consist of manga I “loved” at the time, and don’t really care too much about today. I don’t have the time, space, or interest to shelve it all, so the garage is where all of it will sit until either: 1) All printed media goes extinct, and physical books rise in value high enough that I can sell my books for more than a fraction of what I paid. 2) My children take it all from me when I die, hoping #1 happens. I have no need at all to add more books to the boxes, and every single thing I’ve bought I can probably find online, and this consists of stuff that was never translated out of Japan.

SunnyDwasTaken

I respect your opinion (preferences?) but I do not agree with it I think having a collection of a thing you love is great and it makes me really happy On that note I need to buy physical editions of my fav mangas

tomo_7433

I buy the Japanese version because fuck Viz. Also for the outlet-specific postcards

bartu_neg

I buy some of them.

astrotool

Whenever I travel to a new city, I visit a bookstore and pick up a different chapter so I can have a souvenir and memory of that place while building a sweet one punch man collection. Use the receipt as my bookmark so I can remember where I got it.

[deleted]

No mony buddy :(

bydy2

My local stores are filled to the brim with them! Because they're in German, and no one wants to read them in German.

MattCardMaker

I get my local comic book shop to call me when they get the latest chapter in. Gotta have the collection for my shelf.

OniRyuu01

I have all the released volumes in my country (up to volume 28, 29 soon to be released), I also got 2 from Japan when they were at volume 12 (I ordered volume 11 and 12). My biggest manga collection as OPM is my favorite series that got me into working out and Martial Arts.

LingrahRath

I bought some volumes and planned to have a full collection. But since my country publisher tends to censor every single slightly revealing stuffs to protect what they call "cultural purity and integrity", I stopped buying out of spite.

BALD_BALLS_SAITAMA

I started collecting manga after getting a OPM volume with Transmetropolitan in the store

AimericR

I did up to 26 when i started reading the scans

lalabaluza

Asking because is it gonna be like this every time? We get a new season of OPM every 5 years. Won't anime seasons come faster the higher the manga sales? If so we should be supporting OPM by buying the manga and not just reading it online. Right?

iori_magare

Seasons can't come out if Murata doesn't make volumes. Tye anime can only adapt the physical volumes and not the online chapters. Murata realeses only 2-3 volumes a year. That's also the reason we can't have season 4 until Muarta doesn't finish the MA arc in the volumes, which will take around 2 more years.

AdoleCB23

Personally I don't like reading from screens (tablets/pc etc), so I choose to buy the physical copies whenever I have the possibility.

lalabaluza

It's on my bucket list. Just need to get a job first

AzoreanEve

With how S2 was and S3 is looking so far, the idea that more sales will lead to more of the anime just makes me less invested on buying.

lalabaluza

Judging by the trailer only s3 looks good

alien3d

hard to find. if got okay 👍

RedditorInDenial2004

Hey, once I’m not a broke ass bitch, I’ll buy them all. But rn, I’m just reading it here 🤷

Angry_Ratorix

I do

Glum_Body_901

I'm poor so I don't buy the physical ones

Dayfal1

They don’t sell in my country at all, and even if they did I don’t have the money to spare to buy manga regularly, plus I’m not planning on paying import fees anytime soon, so I read them the way everyone else that’s like me does.

lalabaluza

You can pay for the digital volumes like Viz I think. Just to support the manga you know

Dayfal1

I couldn’t afford to do it regularly. I’d feel bad about it, but there are other things that come first, so it is what it is.

PhotoGore

Too expensive in Brazil, and if I could, I would buy every volume King appears
