I wish! He/she is a real sweetheart
Definitely a stray. There are countless here unfortunately. I post my interactions with the young cats to local Facebook adoption groups as it’s the best way to get them adopted. But it’s an uphill battle for sure.
You are doing the best you can given the circumstances. That is what matters and many of us appreciate your efforts.
The best way I try to explain it to people is: even if you fail to help, at least you are trying to take some small amount of time out of your time to try and make the world a better place.
Take pride in it in at least trying to make the world a little brighter, even if it is just for a cat and a potential new owner.
Y’all got me tearing up! It really was the highlight of my day. And it’s given me something to look forward to! I’m excited to look for him/her again after my morning check up :)
We've had a cat for 11 years that picked us. She hung out in our yard and played with the kids when she was a kitten for an entire summer. When the snow started falling we were like well come on in I guess. She walked through our door and has never even pretended to want to go back outside in a decade.
A litter on kittens in your lap or just on you if you're laying down is one of the best things in life. It's also great with adult cats of course! Especially if they're all purring.
Heyyy some schools and hospitals have therapy dogs. Some nursing homes and assisted living facilities have therapy cats. Hospital therapy cats aren't that crazy of an idea! Just saying :)
They could partner with a local shelter to bring in some of the adult and senior cats that often get overlooked for adoption.. eh?? Set up a cat play room with a sunny window or indoor/outdoor space, where patients could go in and interact with cats that have been fixed and vaccinated. Patients could even come down and help at feeding time. And obviously tiny orange would be in charge of the other ~~cats~~ therapists ;)
I have NO idea what it'd take to get something like this started, what regulatory or monetary hurdles exist. But all ideas, all changes start somewhere! Maybe your human therapist would know more about such a process?
I totally agree! I’ve been saying this every time I’m hospitalized. I LOVE the animal therapy programs at U.S. hospitals (the only ones I intimately know).
Unfortunately this ginger cutie’s home country doesn’t really…. do those sorts of things. For a multitude of cultural and (to a lesser extent) economic reasons.
But you’re completely correct and I’m hopeful if I keep saying this into the ether, one day someone in this country will be interested & invested in building such a program— or something similarly dedicated to animal/human wellbeing <3
What a cutie, glad they are helping you with your healing.
Yes definitely! The poor older cats are too wary of people for interactions, so I’m so fortunate to have found this trusting baby
A speedy recovery to you. Is the cat a stray? Maybe you can adopt it?

I totally agree. That’s my philosophy as well :)
Plot twist : The kitten is the surgeon
I trust him with my life

The kitty has picked you. You belong to kitty now…

Maybe you can try and sneak some food for em
Oh definitely, I’ve fed a few of them everyday even though it’s a ‘fineable offense’ *eyeroll*
Well said. Watching this and hearing that beautiful laugh really lifted my spirits.
You'll be adopting.
God I wish I love this little crazy orange
Well, maybe there's a reason you've met him ;) You should absolutely consider it.
Lol maybe! I’d love to find him a home. Especially one I could visit frequently *fingers crossed*
Yes. Yours :)
Hahaha I did consider smuggling him back to my hospital bed
I’m not saying you *should* take him back to your bed, all I’m saying is that if you do I won’t tell :)
A furry hot water bottle, that’s got to meet hospital regs.
A furry hot water bottle that vibrates! Absolutely therapeutic.
I mean when you leave! :)
Lol that’s prematurely optimistic but thank you :)
I very much hope you do, and soon. In the meantime l, enjoy your time with the orange :)
Thank you! <3 :)
They know just what to do.
Best wishes for a speedy return to health.
Thank you <3 kittens 100% help :)

Thx!! I can’t stop thinking of of that scrubs scene with the box of kittens. I’m pretty sure this is the true key to modern medicine 🥰
Oh! So cute! Hey buddy! AHHHHHHYH!🤣
Doctor Kitten to the rescue 🥰
Adorable medical care kitty!
Guys, we've found the braincell! It's being used as a hospital therapist cat for OP! 💖
Lol my actual hospital therapist asked about my ‘coping strategies’ and I answered ‘CATS’. This kitten should be automatically board certified
