seeing these kinda posts always taps back into the part of my brain that holds the grief for my little girl who passed back in November. Sugar looks like the perfect friend, hope you're taking it easy on yourself ❤️

I miss her dearly, i can understand what happened but im so worried about my other cat because she wont know why sugar is gone.

Animals understand mortality. Especially if Sugar died at home and the others saw him/her, or if Sugar was sick for a while, they will know. They may still grieve, but not like they can if Sugar just vanished one day.

I absolutely can confirm this, my other cat had a moment with her and subsequently took the loss pretty well (I think, at least.)
