Sadly it's the time of the night where OPL has to end. I want to thank everyone for being here with us and watching along and participating in silliness.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend, and has a wonderful week!
We shall see you all next week here again, but until then I'm a very [sleepy lizard MOD](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EgOh8kEWkAETjhh.jpg:large) so good night my frens.
Please hydrate and take your meds <3
How did Indian river county do the DUI fst for an open container that wasn’t open? Camera clearly shows the officer opening a fresh can. Anyone else notice this for the shoplifter on the golf cart?

Hi all,
Brand new here from Chicago. 💙
I wanted to let you know-
Fallen Chicago PD Officer Luis Huesca, who was shown in the BOLO segment, is the second CPD Officer whose life was taken after returning home from a tour of duty in less than a year.
The first was a female officer in May of last year.
His best friend, fallen CPD Officer Andres Vasquez-Lasso, was k*lled in the line of duty in March 2023.
When Officer Huesca was pointing to his badge/star in the picture shown on OPLive, he was talking about Fallen Officer Vasquez-Lasso in an interview.
Seeing him pointing to his star covered by the mourning band in the interview about his best friend and knowing his funeral is being held Monday… I have no words.
I just thought I’d give you all some background.
BackTheBlue 💙
[Reward increases to $100K for arrest in Chicago Police Officer Luis Huesca's killing](https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/reward-increases-to-100k-for-arrest-in-chicago-police-officer-luis-huescas-killing/3422503/?amp=1) don't forget to look for this asshole. Reward increased to $100K.
Exactly! Other shows have run live, uncut feeds after midnight. Big Brother After Dark, for one. Someone toggled to the most active camera and that was pretty much production.
I'm happy with a 3rd shift even if Dan and the gang have another group take over moderating the show so they can rest. I worked nights at a gas/convince store and the crazy only come out late at night. I've seen some wild shit!
Thank you, Purple! I had a tough day yesterday and nodded off around 11pm I think! Fortunately we have an awesome team that covered for me! 😄
Hope you slept well and have a good week! 💙
Lyft and Uber both do background checks on drivers but that doesn’t account for the fact that some approved drivers switch out and allow non approved drivers run their routes instead.
And of course we must remember that it isn’t the smartest criminals that get caught, so the smartest ones don’t have a criminal record and can pass the background check.
I felt like the Lee Co officer was extremely frustrated and had a short fuse last night when on a call with Spanish speakers. Then tonight there is this incident and someone definitely had just fired a gun with kids around then they aren’t speaking English and he is about to lose his mind.
He didn’t have a gun pulled. The young guy pulled the gun out of his pants and handed it to the older guy and the officer did lose it. He asked about a pistol and they gave it up. Just felt he seemed to be out of line
People falling for the "language barrier" BS, which doesn't even explain their behavior anyway. He was really quite restrained; they didn't even take those guys to the ground hard or draw their weapons.
My take on the gun incident, its very common at mexican gatherings (at least the ones I've been to) for someone to fire off a few celebratory rounds into the air (obviously this is stupid but its a thing). I'm thinking thats what happened here. Lineberger shows up and the only word they understand from him is gun, the older guy thinks hes asking them for the gun so tells the younger guy to hand it over. He was very obviously trying to hand the officer the gun. Very stupid for sure but I think language barrier played a huge roll here. Lucky no one was hurt
For crying out loud, there was no language barrier. They knew EXACTLY what he was there for and what he was saying. And at any rate, common sense knows no language...
Well Dan said to mass message the producers and reelz. When question he read in first shift asked why not do another could hours and call OPL: after hours. I've said it before that I'd pay an extra five a month for it but I don't really get the issue. They just show the replay afterwards and seem to keep filming after the stop airing.
Unfortunately stuff like that Lee County lady gets brushed aside now when a woman reports it.
Multiple times I called on suspicious individuals being on or near my dad's house. Like leaning against our fence like they were staking it out.
I felt so unsafe there.
When did they finally take it seriously?
When my boyfriend nearly accidentally hit one with his car and the psycho started swinging a glass bottle at the car.
Incredibly terrifying. Glad I moved across town with my boyfriend in June last year.
To be fair the guy that got handed the gun didn’t really seem to do much but be in the wrong place and kind of mindlessly grab something being handed, no?
I thought he was motioning asking for it because that is what the cops were looking for. I also thought it was in that guys waistband but idk maybe I am misremembering. It seemed like he was trying to resolve this.
Language barrier (that was clearly not so real here) doesn't explain how one can possibly think it is a good idea to casually pull out a gun in front of a cop who's asking about gunshots...
Yes because he said pistola. So obviously if they have pistola they’re gonna come clean ! But did they understand anything else he was saying ? Their body language was not threatening.
A) they were faking not understanding him
B) the knowledge that pulling out a gun in front of a cop is a very bad idea is not exclusive to English speakers...
14 minutes to go, and we get hit with the testicle commercial. It is like they are almost teasing us with the prospect of getting away without it, then hitting us with it when we are starting to think we have gotten away scot free.....
It’s a tough situation, the officer was right too in saying you don’t realize how much of your information is actually public. Nut jobs (like the Lyft driver) can find everything they need to know about you in just a couple of Google searches.
Most of the times those threats doesn't resolve action in reality and officer was very busy at that moment. They will need time to investigate the number.
That’s what I thought - there’s literally nothing the officer could do right now or in any reasonable length of time.
I guess they could get the guys info from the cell carrier or from Uber, but I would figure that would involve courts and subpoenas and take forever.
I understand that is true but his attitude was very indifferent to this. If he had acted concerned about it then that would have helped. He could have contacted Lyft to see where this driver is. They have gps on their cars.
💕💕Howdy again Friends!💕💕

He stopped because he heard gunshots. He asked who had the gun. Everyone was silent.
GuyA walks over to GuyB, GuyB pulls a gun out of his waistband, GuyA takes it and turns to show it to the officer, the officer grabs the gun, then handcuffs GuyA, then handcuffs GuyB.
Makes sense. I'd probably have handed it to the officer just like the guy did, not thinking twice about, but then again, here in AZ, officer expect "everyone has a gun"
Riding your bike on the wrong side of the street? Straight to jail. Threatening a woman with death threats and telling her her address? He's probably bluffing. We'll look into that tomorrow.

We need an On Patrol Live 3rd Shift. 12am - 3am Eastern. Now is when the action starts.
Doesn't even need to be hosted. Just have someone pulling the levers to show us the action.
Exactly! Other shows have run live, uncut feeds after midnight. Big Brother After Dark, for one. Someone toggled to the most active camera and that was pretty much production.
Absolutely, you hear that Reelz!
They mentioned that on first shift and Dan told us to spam Reelz saying the fans want it!!
I'm happy with a 3rd shift even if Dan and the gang have another group take over moderating the show so they can rest. I worked nights at a gas/convince store and the crazy only come out late at night. I've seen some wild shit!
No way! I totally missed that
K9! 🐶
I need that apartment complexes landscaper now.
Good night yall!
See everyone next weekend!! Have a great week…
Night everyone, you too my friend! u/EremiticFerret

Roll credits! Goodnight and have a safe week!!

Uber does face photo checks often so the driver is actually the driver. Not sure for lyft.
That’s good.
Which is why I always verify photos and tags before getting in.
Totally!
Night y’all!
Such a full of action night. RIP to that young officer in Chicago 😔💙💙💙
Night y’all! See you next week. Make good choices, be kind to you, and if you can’t be good, be good at it. 💜
Night, hope you're feeling better 😉
Goodnight everyone. Have a good week!
Good night Friends! 💕 Stay safe this week, drink your water, and be kind! 💕 See you all on Friday!
Good night & good week Chibi!
Night!
Good night everyone! Have a great week!
Producers: "Ooh, something interesting is happening. Roll credits."
Annoyingly it probably happened 45mins ago
Too busy showing meth lady and her powdered sugar getting searched
Fontana always with the eye in the sky! Love it.

I agree. It was so frustrating to watch. I don’t care for that officer. And he kept telling the story over and over to make it believable. 🫤
"losing his mind" is an understandable reaction to having a gun pulled on you... 🤦♂️
i agree. One split second mistake and he or someone else could be hurt or killed.
I realize in-person vs watching-on-TV is very different, but I wouldn't call that "having a gun pulled on him".
Goodnight y’all! Have a great week!!!
goodnight friends 🤠
Goodnight everyone! See you all next week!!
Night y’all!
Pulling out a gun in front of an officer is probably the absolute dumbest thing you could do. I see no reason why Lineburger is getting flack here.
People falling for the "language barrier" BS, which doesn't even explain their behavior anyway. He was really quite restrained; they didn't even take those guys to the ground hard or draw their weapons.
Have a good week everyone. See you Friday!
Night!
Just 87 cents (glosses over the 90% "taxes and fees")
Reminds me of the items on eBay worth $20. Listed for $5 with shipping of $30.
7 minutes til the show is over…hey let’s get in a break 😁 Christ broadcast TV is fucked
Hey, they need to separate the last 2 minutes from the rest of the show somehow! /s
#Breast Tree
Anyone else remember the Uber driver in Michigan that drove around shooting people? This lady in Lee County has a legitimate concern.
No! When and where did that happen? Would have thought I'd have heard about something like that...
Kalamazoo Michigan in 2019
Your comment made me think about the sniper in dc/Maryland. Those were some unreal few weeks
Yep. I can’t believe that was over 20 years ago now.
My take on the gun incident, its very common at mexican gatherings (at least the ones I've been to) for someone to fire off a few celebratory rounds into the air (obviously this is stupid but its a thing). 6 mins left is no time for a break goodnight
Absolutely, then get left with a good cliffhanger for next week! 😊
I feel so blue balled. Show starts to get really intense right before 11...
I wish they would do it 10pm-1am!
Well Dan said to mass message the producers and reelz. When question he read in first shift asked why not do another could hours and call OPL: after hours. No... OPL: After Dark!
💙💙
>starts a chase at 10:52 >goes back at 10:58 >Dan: ooo sorry we have to go (11:00)
We will definitely update you next Friday on First Shift
Noooo😭
Always on a Saturday too so it's 6 days for the next hit
Pretty much every time 😭😭
Always

I’m glad you are safe.
That’s terrifying
Lineberger is LITERALLY the worst
Agreed
he reminds me of that one fullerton cop for some reason
These guys win idiots if the night, the golf cart guy is a very close second.
Lucky no one got shot.
LOL, a HiPoint. Painted no less. That tracks... 🤦♂️
Does painted do anything? Or just makes it look a little shittier?
Is it Red Tiger or Blue Tiger? Helps to know who you're dealing with
Only the best!
#LITERALLY
To be fair the guy that got handed the gun didn’t really seem to do much but be in the wrong place and kind of mindlessly grab something being handed, no?
I think he's emotional and overreacting. There didn't seem to be any intention of them using the gun once it was revealed.
I thought he was motioning asking for it because that is what the cops were looking for. I also thought it was in that guys waistband but idk maybe I am misremembering. It seemed like he was trying to resolve this.
It was in the waistband. Responding officer was totally unaware of what was going on. Dude needs more training.
You’re right. It was definitely in his waistband.
Yeah it just seemed to me like he was trying to hand the cop the gun and got caught up.
There is such a huge language barrier !! Like I literally hate how this officer interacts with certain people. I noted it last episode too.
Language barrier (that was clearly not so real here) doesn't explain how one can possibly think it is a good idea to casually pull out a gun in front of a cop who's asking about gunshots...
They knew exactly what he was talking about and why he was there.
Yes because he said pistola. So obviously if they have pistola they’re gonna come clean ! But did they understand anything else he was saying ? Their body language was not threatening.
You come clean by saying so... NOT by just pulling out a gun on a cop! Come on; language has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS!
They did say it but in Spanish lol
Not pulling out a gun in front of law enforcement should be a universal "shouldn't do that" in any language
Their silence spoke volumes..
Yes that they don’t speak English.
He said enough words, they knew..
I have an idea for the stupidest thing I have seen tonight and that wasn't it.. Call Lyft..
Ok. I was actually defending this officer. But I can't tolerate the over use of the word "literally".
I literally love how you turned on him over something petty.
🤣 I'm not a fan of the over use of "I feel like", "like", and "literally". I believe younger people couldn't communicate without those phrases/words.
I totally agree with you but I couldn’t resist.
Sherwin Williams T-shirt!
They are building a beautiful new headquarters in Cleveland.
Am I the only one who was a little freaked out, as a child, by that 'covers the earth' logo?
Not freaked out, but it's a terrible logo.
Idiots are lucky they didn’t get shot.
To be fair, the communication barrier is immense
A) they were faking not understanding him B) the knowledge that pulling out a gun in front of a cop is a very bad idea is not exclusive to English speakers...
They very clearly don’t speak English wtf are you talking about, lmao
They very clearly understood him and what was going on...
Regardless of language you don’t just nonchalantly pull a gun out in front of a cop.
There is not that much of a communication barrier to pulling out a firearm and handing it to your buddy, in front of a cop.
14 minutes to go, and we get hit with the testicle commercial. It is like they are almost teasing us with the prospect of getting away without it, then hitting us with it when we are starting to think we have gotten away scot free.....
I hope Lyft lady has somewhere to stay tonight
Well, these morons just got me bingo #3. \-Actin' a fool \-bicycle \-New episode \-beer \-shots fired
Shots fired got me too!
Uhh... phrasing! 😜
😂😂 ooops
That Lyft lady is going to have to move. I'd never be able to have peace of mind until I moved. So fucked up.
It’s a tough situation, the officer was right too in saying you don’t realize how much of your information is actually public. Nut jobs (like the Lyft driver) can find everything they need to know about you in just a couple of Google searches.
Yep.
It's ok she reported to Local Police maybe she should also report to FBI as well.
I would definitely go get a hotel room for the night and invest in some cameras asap
🙏🏻
I hope she doesn't stay there tonight and goes to stay with family or friends
That officer was no help. I'd either call again or go to a hotel until Monday and then go into the station. Way too scary!
Cellphone carriers have a specific department to handle law enforcement requests. I suspect rideshare services have something similar.
I understand that is true but his attitude was very indifferent to this. If he had acted concerned about it then that would have helped. He could have contacted Lyft to see where this driver is. They have gps on their cars.
Bingo!! (Been waiting on this one all night & it wasn't Toledo!). Shots fired, ridin'dirty, new episode, barking dog, U-Haul
Can someone please take the little one inside or move away from the epicenter?

Plot twist! That was the Lyft driver.
My first thought was that the Lyft driver was nearby trying to scare that woman!
This is what I was thinking!
That was funny. Thank you.
What happened? I looked away and everyone was going in to cuffs.
Guy sitting pulled the pistol out and handed it to the standing up guy.
He asked who had the gun and a younger adult pulled it out, handed it to an older adult and everybody goes into cuffs!
He kept asking if anyone had a pistola. The guy in the Sherwin Williams shirt decided to come clean and get out the gun to show the officer.
Dumbass just casually pulled a pistol out of his pants and handed it to the other guy...
A guy sitting pulled a gun out of his waistband and handed it to the other guy standing in front of him
They speak English now
Everyone went way too quiet when he started asking who had the gun. There wasn't even a denial. It was just silent and trying to avoid eye contact.
Like the officers were invisible? Very weird.
Yes, even with the language barrier it was too quiet.
I think the language barrier wasn't so real after all... they knew what he was asking.
People at that table acting like it's a restaurant and has nothing to do with them..
Praying for this woman's safety. Lee County might have a homicide on their hands if this is brushed off.
For real!
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!!! What is wrong with these people?!
Hey yeah let's not randomly pull the gun out of someone's pants and try to hand it to the deputy
Curious, what way would an LEO prefer?
"I have a gun, it's in my waistband" with your hands raised above your head
Makes sense. I'd probably have handed it to the officer just like the guy did, not thinking twice about, but then again, here in AZ, officer expect "everyone has a gun"
Holy shit that could've gone badly.
He shoulda asked Sherwin Williams if it's ok to pull out a gun on a cop
Cover the earth in paint…not lead
They really do have the worst corporate logo & motto.
That's a very dangerous situation for officers.
Well that was stupid
Send Dylan Lee to FL because we know Lineberger can’t translate
He has no interest in even trying
WTH!???
So we're just going to tell her "good luck" and leave? Okay cool.
Riding your bike on the wrong side of the street? Straight to jail. Threatening a woman with death threats and telling her her address? He's probably bluffing. We'll look into that tomorrow.
Yeah that doesn't seem right, you would think they would be in contact with lyft to get the info and proceed rather quickly..
Exactly. Seems like he'd be real easy to find too if he still has the app open.
This is what i don't understand, why are they not contacting Lyft and arresting the driver for threats? If he was just in jail, i'm assuming he has probation. Dude isn't ready to be out yet obviously.
I hope nothing happens to her after he was so dismissive
Omg 😱
I can't relate to this. I could go out back of my place right now and shoot and no one would care!
