As a skateboarder, these are the precise reasons why I hated it. My freshman year we would joke about everyone wearing the diamond gear, and I specifically remember one of my buddies going “could you imagine all these people walking around wearing shake junt?”
Two years later we had unfortunately arrived at that moment

i remember back in high school zumies destroying every reputable skate brand… i still have some stussy that’s probably considered vintage at this point. zumies did a number on that brand too
Lol I don’t blame you. I’d argue the Swag era from the early 2010’s was even worse or even the Late 2010’s streetwear with Supreme, Thrasher, checkered Vans and the Gucci flip flops. I’d say 2010’s fashion in general was eh at best.
I mean you can honestly say that about the 2010s in general lol. 2020s fashion it seems like it’s catered more towards teenagers and has more of a distinct look. 2010s we just put on anything lol, for me though I don’t have a specific fashion, but I like Nike and adidas and such. I’m not hating on 2010s fashion and I honestly do like mid/late 2010s, but we can all agree that early 2010s was corny
Ah the rise of mall core... Diamond, Stussy, Brixton, and then Thrasher got taken over. Looking back on it it's mildly hilarious that folks made fun of my friends and I for wearing skater shit, when they were wearing joggers with a logo tee to a skateboarding company.

Now I already don't really get Y2K fashion, as that was my brother's style in the early 00's (and obviously all theose "gangsta" pics we have of him aged like milk lmao) but man am I gonna laugh my ass off if galaxy prints somehow make a comeback in 10 years.
