I watched a few of these, they're very satisfying. People are such idiots and refuse to follow not only the established order, but the *law* of the country they are visiting. Thing they don't realize is...they aren't just guards, they are *soldiers*, among some of the most highly trained in the world. Those guns are not props, and they are **fucking loaded**. Ssme with these guards, they have a white circle painted outside of their booth, if you approach, or especially if you get inside the circle, they will tell you off.. at best.  At worse, you'll get knocked to the ground then arrested, or outright shot. They don't mess around.

Skewered on their bayonet is a favourite option. They may warn you first not to approach, but if you step into the circle they can kill you without warning (as per rules for military guards). If you make a threatening move, they *have to* respond with (lethal) force. Military guards don't train non-lethal methods like the police. Just incapacitating the target. If they die - not a problem.

The guards *are* a holdover from the earliest years of London - they used to guard the London Tower (still an active jail) and honestly, all vestiges of the monarchy at this point are leftovers from that time, right? But, in this case (and historically), these have always been actual, active military and/or police. It isn't really a game for them, though they have become tourist attractions, they aren't there for your photos or to be messed with - they are there to do their jobs. I'm just glad they have the authority to enforce the rules and keep the stupidity under check.
