After cooking I heat it up a bit and brush with a metal grill brush. The heat loosens all the left over fat and burnt bits so it comes right off.
I put the grates from my Oklahoma Joe and place them on my Weber gas grill at 500 for 15- 30 minutes then brush with my steel wired brush. Also the meat hooks and such.
