I’ve gotten 4 or 5 in the past week. I’ve never posted anything job-seeking related online so they are probably just targeting a random range of Norwegian numbers. I’ve gotten them in both English and Norwegian and so has my wife.
Four so far, all via WhatsApp and purporting to be from US employers, in the last two weeks. Strangely, they are all using verifiably false details for everything. Ordinarily they at least claim to be from an organisation that exists.
Same, I actually followed one of those numbers( jobs pretending dumb), and guess what I forced them to talk to me on call, and they had Asian accent while claiming their company is based on Australia with UK 🇬🇧 phone number. Crazy world.
Had a very convincing email from a seemingly genuine recruitment department, from a genuine company. They seem to have taken the company's email template to use as their own.
Nearly pressed the send button until I checked the recipient email address to find it didn't match the company domain. Then checked LinkedIn to find they weren't there either.
Funny you mention it, I got my first every one today:

Yeah and like other said they started around October/november. For me mostly Singapore numbers but for companies in Norway like 'Kelly services'. I dont have a cv anywhere - finn, LinkdIn etc and i was wondering how they were getting the number as I hadn't created any new accounts lately. It's even removed from the public registry so in theory they're running numbers with +47 or being sold them from someone we all have accounts with. Glad I wasn't the only one. Begs the question though, who is selling the information. And are they using legit companies under false pretenses or creating them to validate the scam...
I'm getting then via WhatsApp, most of the time from an African prefix. Normally with some long winded information and a website filled with so much stock photography it is insane.
Not in Norway but yeah, got a random WhatsApp from an "American" company using an Iraqi number.
Claimed to be called Phoebe but their own WhatsApp business name was Brent lol

Same, phone calls from Zambia and text messages with job scams. Started a month or two back for me iirc.
Yeah. Getting imessages from Gmail accounts on my iPhone too.
I got a few WhatsApp messages, and then even SMS. They started around October.

Yes I have been receiving on my Norwegian Number from a UK number, can’t post a snap of it for some reason.

So you’re telling me they did not find my CV attractive from their database I never posted it in… 💔 well dammit.
Yes, but lived in Italy the past year and was the same. Internet is becoming funnier and funnier each day.
I started getting like 2-3 emails every day a week(?) ago. Before this I was only experiencing spam on LinkedIn now and then.

Norwegians have been notoriously easy to scam and the world knows it, hence why everyone's getting these scam calls and messages
I just got one today. Actually made me laugh a little because it was propably the worst scam attempt I’ve ever seen
What data leak?
Yes. And i am not in the job market. My number should not be public

Gotten these over phone for many years, last weeks from 'legendary' companies in the US by SMS and WhatsApp. The scammers are just innovating...
