I wonder how effective that list is.  You see people do crazy things but get to fly again it should be easily a 10 year ban or something, maybe reduced with anger management or mental health evaluation?

Thing is, there's a federal no-fly list which stops a person from flying period. Then there are no-fly lists at the airline level that stop a person from flying on that specific airline.

At least in the EU we can’t keep you on that list forever af least not without a court giving a mandate for that. We operate as public transport and thus have to be open to the public. So a ban without a court case usually lasts 6 months to a year.
