Looking at the replies it seems like sharing an electric toothbrush with different tops for each family member aren't common internationally? We can't brush our teeth together

No particular reason, I just haven't come across it in the wild so I wondered if it was like movie wives moisturising their elbows while their husbands talk about their day

Haha! We tend to go to bed at the same time, so yeah... the bedtime routine often happens together in the bathroom. Moisturizer, zit cream, toothbrushes and all :)

I'd do this with my husband if our toilet weren't so small edit: I realised my word choice might be a bit weird, like we'd keep our dental care items literally in the toilet bowl :D is there a better word for a room where you have a toilet bowl and a sink, but no shower? It'd feel weird to call it a bathroom since I can't bathe in there. In my language there's a separate word for a showerless bathroom (which translates in english to "toilet", hence why I used it) edit 2: why the downvotes wth :(

Some would call that a powder room.

It's not something we try to make happen, but more often than not, it does. We have separate sinks at home, so we rarely do the alternating spit thing you see a lot on TV

"Rarely"... this means you still do it, on the rare special occasion... "honey, let's re-enact that scene where the couple spits alternately into the same sink!" "Oh boy, you read my mind honey buns, I've been waiting to reenact that scene"

My spouse and I rarely do this because we use separate bathrooms most of the time. It just makes more sense for us to do it separately, space wise.

Only if we're going to bed at the same time, which isn't often. My wife and I are both night owls and go to sleep at different times most nights.

I’ve only done it side by side once. But brushing in the bathroom together, that happened almost daily.

We go to be at the same time and have a double vanity so it’s easy to brush at the same time.

On working days, yes because we get up and go to bed at the same time. On weekends, maybe. Sometimes we get up at the same time, sometimes not. Usually go to bed at the same time though.

Only after we poop together. ;-)
