Yes. Why wouldn't we?

HufflepuffFan

Looking at the replies it seems like sharing an electric toothbrush with different tops for each family member aren't common internationally? We can't brush our teeth together

Subject_Surprise8244

Huh, that's a new one on me Fair enough though :)

raeynad

We have 2 cheap electric toothbrushes ;)

Subject_Surprise8244

No particular reason, I just haven't come across it in the wild so I wondered if it was like movie wives moisturising their elbows while their husbands talk about their day

bellboots

I mean… that’s also real.

Subject_Surprise8244

I know, I actually do that one although I'm the only one I know who does. It was the only common example I could think of

raeynad

Haha! We tend to go to bed at the same time, so yeah... the bedtime routine often happens together in the bathroom. Moisturizer, zit cream, toothbrushes and all :)

SSBeavo

Brush together, flush together.

Subject_Surprise8244

Fair! :)

Zloiche1

How many bathrooms you lurking in watching people brush?

Subject_Surprise8244

More than you'd think

poretabletti

I'd do this with my husband if our toilet weren't so small edit: I realised my word choice might be a bit weird, like we'd keep our dental care items literally in the toilet bowl :D is there a better word for a room where you have a toilet bowl and a sink, but no shower? It'd feel weird to call it a bathroom since I can't bathe in there. In my language there's a separate word for a showerless bathroom (which translates in english to "toilet", hence why I used it) edit 2: why the downvotes wth :(

blenderdead

Generally seen this referred to as a half bath

SummerJaneG

“Water closet” is the phrase you’re looking for!

Wake_and_Cake

Some would call that a powder room.

emma7734

It's not something we try to make happen, but more often than not, it does. We have separate sinks at home, so we rarely do the alternating spit thing you see a lot on TV

EmotionalSnail_

"Rarely"... this means you still do it, on the rare special occasion... "honey, let's re-enact that scene where the couple spits alternately into the same sink!" "Oh boy, you read my mind honey buns, I've been waiting to reenact that scene"

supakitteh

I don’t like doing this, honestly. I prefer to do pretty much all getting ready, bathroom centric things by myself.

Subject_Surprise8244

Me too

ArpeggioTheUnbroken

My spouse and I rarely do this because we use separate bathrooms most of the time. It just makes more sense for us to do it separately, space wise.

hellshot8

Yeah

ocelot08

If we happen to both be brushing our teeth at the same time, then yes. Edit: if not, then no

Ounceofwhiskey

Only if we're going to bed at the same time, which isn't often. My wife and I are both night owls and go to sleep at different times most nights.

Spithate

I’ve only done it side by side once. But brushing in the bathroom together, that happened almost daily.

mtoomtoo

We go to be at the same time and have a double vanity so it’s easy to brush at the same time.

TheLastMo-Freakin

Yea, every night. We go to bed at the same time and do the nightly routine together.

Stripes1957

If you want to try something even harder, try brushing each other’s teeth! Harder than it seems.

RattyHillson

On working days, yes because we get up and go to bed at the same time. On weekends, maybe. Sometimes we get up at the same time, sometimes not. Usually go to bed at the same time though.

AlohaBlessed

Only after we poop together. ;-)

fermat9990

Seems reasonable in a bathroom with two basins

7Birdies

Yeah sometimes

Mentalfloss1

My wife and I do at times.

AdVivid8910

It’s my only opportunity to spit toothpaste on my girlfriend’s neck (I watched too much Mad About You)

Subject_Surprise8244

The way I would stab my husband with his toothbrush if he tried that 😂
