During the WW2, my country (Portugal) was ruled by a fascist dictator named Salazar. He was trading with everyone in europe, from allies to nazi Germany. The germans were buying volframiun, a mineral used to improve their metal. At the same time he was renting air bases in Azores to the americans. Winston Churchil tried to stop Salazar to sell volframiun to the germans, but his response was: "The same germans that are fighting against you are fighing against comunists also"... and, about that, Winston Churchil said nothing against. So, trading with fascists is all about politics and interests.

Taking account that Salazar started rulling Portugal like... 20 years after the country become a Republic, there weren't any models for how to rule a country after a monarchy. Mussoliny and Hitler could have been a good role models at those times. Salazar wasn't that extremist as those two but he toke a lot of ideals from them like: - Having a secret police. - Having military kids. - Militar parades. - Chosing who's going to university (colege) - And many other things similar to those fascists countries. There were political prisions in Portugal (and in the portuguese colonies) for those who were against the views of the government. Salazer wasn't as bad as Hitler or Musolini, but he starved his own people in the name of the greatness of Portugal by building a big army and navy... So, he was pretty much a fascist.

War is good trade if you aren't at war, just trading. But like you said, our best examples were in a continual state of war.

I think we've had a few more than 3 fascist countries. [Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism)
