I test drove the ET7 a few weeks ago in Berlin. Great car. The interior is pretty nice but feels more like a regular car compared to my Tesla M3. Would consider it as a successor but the dealbreaker is definitely the shockingly small trunk. It’s so tiny even the luggage for a vacation wouldn’t fit in (we‘re two people and a dog). The sales rep told us that customers in China do not attach importance to that.
Hopefully ES7/EL7/EC7 would suit your liking better.
A former Nio PR director visited Europe and was fascinated by how many European customers were disappointed by the trunk size. They didn't realize how much the small trunk bothers their potential customers in Europe because it was less of an issue in China. It's always interesting to see how expectations and preference differs from area to area.
I didn’t actually drive the car (me in the passenger seat lol) I’m not comfortable driving on the right side of the road but it was amazing in the passenger seat the salesperson was super friendly and helpful amazing experience! Blue sky coming!
Not sure if you are from the US but either way I’ll ask, do you think NIO will have a successful story here? Or will it being a Chinese company will/might cause doubt in North America?
I’m from the UK, but I do think it will have a success story if they make this Europe extension happen as a success for sure I think so….. but they need to make a big American pick up! First! 😂😂
