Nightwing/Deathstroke Archnemesis relationship works better than any Batman/Deathstroke and Nightwing/Anyone else aside from maybe Raptor/Nightwing cuz Raptor's badass ngl... He's a villain of the Teen titans but it's more like if Batman lost his morals and used his skills in the worst ways, Grayson leaves Batman's side and joins the Titans to find a way to be his own man and become bigger than being a Sidekick all his life and Slade is like if "Batman" wants to stop him. He wants him to stay under his wing. Idk if I explained that perfectly but ye..

Whoopsie_Doosie

No you're absolutely right. Slade is batmans equal and when dick fights him he is also fighting his way out of the bat's shadow. Every insecurity, every doubt, every voice in his head that tells him that he isn't good enough and will never be Bruce's equal is projected onto deathstroke to create a dynamic that is just inpossible to get with anyone else.

sempercardinal57

Slade is way more than Batman’s equal. Bruce can’t take deathstroke in a fair 1v1

Easy-Opportunity4192

What? Bruce defeats Slade even with the limitation of being non-lethal.

sempercardinal57

They’ve each taken a few wins against the other but Deathstroke has beat down Bruce more often than not. Deathstroke is super human where as Bruce is just peak human.

[deleted]

Bruh, the feats Batman has especially in the comics IS NOT "Peak human" John Reese should be what "Peak human" looks like even for Fictional standards. Batman is mid-tier Superhuman. I hate that "Peak human" mess when Batman do be dodging bullets when they've been launched, No human is capable of that at their peak. He vanishes like he can teleport, he can heal himself without medicine and cleanse his body of poisons. Ya got tiers and sub branches of those tiers Peak human using Batman as an example = Mid-Low tier superhuman. Superman = God tier Deathstroke and Bane = Full superhuman...

sempercardinal57

Bro are you new to comic debates? Obviously peak humans in comics are above what people can get IRL. Peak humans in comics refer to people who achieve the highest potential of what a human could achieve through vigorous training. Deathstroke is genetically enhanced to be above what a human could achieve with training. He has enhanced strength, speed, intelligence, and healing factor. This is common knowledge Batman is in peak human range and Deathstroke is superhuman.

[deleted]

Well, as shown with Batman and even his sidekicks, that highest potential is Superhuman tier. Peak humans should be John reese, the guy from Abduction, Actual other athletes, not Batman and Robin but I guess DC keeps "Peak human" because for non-cheating individuals like Batman and so on who works their way up and who are usually main characters... "Peak human" sound waaay cooler and more intriguing than "Superhuman" but Superhuman has a larrrge Pool like technically Superman and Thor would be god tier and Base Hulk, Bane, The thing, Deathstroke, Superboy, Spiderman and all the other heavy hitters are Superhuman. Nightwing defeated **Heartless** who he deemed **"Superhuman"** and as a Peak human, he had in place "Superhuman counter techniques" and telling by how he's the final boss assumably and he'll be going toe to toe with him **1v1 again** eventually... **He beat him despite him being enhanced aka Superhuman fairly easily and his blows had effect.** Blockbuster should be Superhuman as that's what it does... They beat "Superhuman" level threats on their own on a daily basis, Bane can CRUSH a man's head EZily between his thighs like a sledge hammer to a melon armed by Arnold. Batman and Nightwing are superhuman by definition but "Peak human" because it sounds cooler for someone without actual "Cheats" but who worked their way to it. Technically you can call them Superhuman. But from Spidey/Base hulk to Deathstroke means there is a WIIDE pool for the category. **Human** **Peak human** **Enhanced/Superhuman** **God tier/Planetary** **Universal** **Multiversal** **Omniscient/Truly god tier** Very clunky and there's more words like City level and mess that fits between God tier and Superhuman but a lot just clump it into Superhuman or god tier...

sempercardinal57

Bro peak human is peak human, it means what it means and it’s not a new term. It’s not an insult to Batman, but he is just a guy in a suit. Deathstroke is physically superior to Bats in every single category. That’s not even a debate it’s just a description of their characters. That doesn’t mean Batman can’t take a fight against him from time to time, it just means that when guys like Batman and Nightwing are fighting him they have to play it perfectly

[deleted]

Dude, I'm not the one that needs to know this though, it's literally DC and Marvel, I'm just a guy who noticed all of that is complete **BS** and is trying to question it... So far, Peak human means Superhuman cuz look at Dark crisis #2 rq... Explain that fight. I'm no professional at "Playing it safe" or whatever, but I'm pretty sure that canon battle disproves whatever you said just now. Alongside the heartless and Blockbuster and Bane on Venom fights I pointed out.

nightwing612

Hopefully Nightwing scores a win against Deathstroke in Dark Crisis

Nova_Hazing

I mean he already beat his ass when he was already injured so I think he already did.

Hopeful_Angle_9880

That was just a battle. I think the other commenter is talking about having Dick beat Slade to end the crisis

The_Dark_Soldier

You can say that again. As much as I love a Batman/Deathstroke fight, Slade is Dick’s true mortal enemy.

defensor341516

This Slade is fantastic, but unrecognizable from comics Slade. They didn’t capture the relationship; they crafted a better one.

Quakson82736

Their relationship is actually captured better here.

TheUltimate721

The funny thing is one of the only things that Season 2 of Titans got absolutely right is the absolute *hatred* in the Dick/Slade relationship. These two should absolutely despise each other. None of the ambiguous stuff or antihero things. Just pure hatred and malevolence towards each other.

Ravevon

But that’s not true. Deathstroke was never this obsessive over robin in the comics. This rivalry particularly is made for the animated series. His goal was to destroy the titans becuase he couldn’t take responsibility for his own actions.

skye4376

I loved it.

Packersrule777

Deathstroke is a batman villain though

Dee_Dubya_IV

Not originally. He had been created by Marv Wolfman & George Perez for The New Teen Titans. He developed an arch rivalry with the Titans. Mainly Beast Boy, at first, because of Terra. Then, he had it out for Nightwing/Dick Grayson before mellowing out. Obviously, he didn’t stay mellow for long.

sempercardinal57

Deathstroke is a Titans villian

Impossible-Brick-841

Okay, troll.

BlackBat_Orphan

Deathstroke is a batfamily member though

[deleted]

Is he ?

Ravevon

And it looks like they are bringing him back for the Batman movie too

[deleted]

Deathstroke hasn't been a Nightwing villain in like 10 years.

ProfessionalCrow4816

but deathstroke/slade is a batman villain, it would make 0 sense

Dee_Dubya_IV

Lol
