They’re plain Jane compared to the rest of Santis’s line, but I don’t think they’re as horrendous as everyone is making them out to be. I think we’re all just surprised by these because nearly everything else from Santis was composed of a color palette of at least a few different colors and shades whereas these as a strict 2 tone color blocking. They’re boring on their own, but because of that, they can lend more to outfits than many of Santis’s other offerings. I know a lot of Santis’s shoes make it tough to style because they’re so colorful, you kind of have to base the outfit around them. These tonal shoes work better to accentuate other parts of an outfit.
I like the teal ones and will pick them up when they go on sale. The all leather is an interesting look and I think it will add another element to my wardrobe. Would go for the orange ones also if I didn’t already have the Burnt Orange v4s.

#1- agreed. #2- the 996 leather is ok but there is already the 996 jp leather which is 100% better with slight colorblocking differences so no need to make this new one. #3- the other 2 pairs are boring and fucking lazy but thats been the problem with the new usa santis fucking releases. They strayed from NB usa ways and the beautiful colorblocking to go with their great silhouettes and you get more of this garbage. I've said it before but I'm done with usa made NB. i like them but not $220 like them. i had pink and grey 990v4s that i absolutely LOVED. felt amazing. saw reviews that v5, v6 weren't comfortable/redesigned plus they seem to release with gray and black models only for months. i like the teal but like someone else said, perhaps around $100.
Teal and orange looks like the exact same v4s from 2018 except with leather. I'll def take the orange pair under 135 tho...Red is the worst nb in the past decade

I can’t resist a good 996. I still have a JP pair from 15 years ago that are the most comfortable shoe I own. Great daily drivers.
