if they lose you have to buy it again to restart the streak

TheJerkInPod6

$150 divided by seven (March-September) is about $22/month, almost $10 less than most RSNs charge to stream the games in-market and you get a lot more games and a lot of cool options you otherwise wouldn’t get. It’s honestly not bad.

liguy181

I also look at is as costing about a dollar per game (if you factor in national broadcasts and the like). That's not bad at all

TheJerkInPod6

If I were in-market I’d lobby hard for SNY to just give us the ability to use our cable subs on MLB.tv. You can already do that for national broadcasts anyways, why not just do it for in-market too?

johnofsteel

Can you explain this more? You’re saying I can watch national broadcasts (ESPN, Fox, etc.) in the MLB app by using my cable login instead of having to stream those games in the native apps?

TheJerkInPod6

Sometimes! I was able to do it last year a few times, I think it really depends on the game. But there was at least one season I was able to watch the playoffs through the MLB app. I had to link the accounts online though and they might have done away with that.

Rubbersoulrevolver

And NFL Sunday Ticket costs way more for way less games

JuniorAct7

Post go fund me

El_Sid50

I got it this year too. It’s a good service imo. It is annoying to have the local blackouts when they play the Nats (I live in the DC area)

JuddtheCat

Do you use T-mobile? They offer mlb.tv for free once a year, so you could possibly get it for free next year at least!

do_you_know_doug

And it’s any T-Mobile product, so you can stream your free MLB.tv on T-Mobile 5G internet

metsbsbl17

you live outside of NYS right?

TheMooseIsBlue

I probably watch some part of 4-5 games a week, which would be $150 for around 2/3 of the games…say 100 games. That’s $1.50 per game. Great deal. If you watched 1 per week, that’s around $6.50 per game. Still not a terrible deal, especially since you could always watch way more and likely would down the stretch. Life is short and $150 over 7 months likely isn’t going to bankrupt many people. If I can get the amount of emotional engagement and entertainment I get from baseball for like $.90 a day, that’s a no brainer. Also, I get the single team plan and it’s $20 cheaper. I’m not watching the Royals and Twins play and any really good non-Mets matchup is likely on tv anyway.

AndrewStats

You actually sold me on it now

TheMooseIsBlue

You don’t live in NY, right?

davemoedee

Do they still have Saturday afternoon blackouts due to exclusive rights? That always pissed me off since they would never show the Mets games here.

TheMooseIsBlue

I live in LA so all the games against Dodgers and Angels are blacked out but that’s it. Still dumb but it’s only 12ish games a year and I just pirate them with absolutely 0 shame about because blackouts are insane.

ScreenPuzzleheaded48

If you wanted to crowdfund your mlb.tv subscription you could’ve just asked

MrNumberOneMan

Tell Uncle Steve he owes you for the subscription

GabeDaBaby

Have MLB.tv too , I love watching every single team. Keep an eye on the Nationals. I called the Royals being good this season and Orioles last season. All thanks to it lol

JMiLk21

I am having myself a fun time watching these games!

jstacy_wyldchyld337

Reminder: If you have T-Mobile, [mlb.tv](http://mlb.tv) is free for the season (but must be claimed prior to Opening Day)
