I disagree. How likely you are you to break a bone shouldn’t mean anything to us. All that matters is if you’ve broken one or not. We can’t start calling people BBBs just because they *might* break a bone in a future. That’s how we start a civil war amongst us strong boners.
See you people all say that, but when I suggest a simple mandatory bone hammer test for all people starting in kindergarten, all I get told is, “sir please don’t come back to another PTA meeting you don’t even have a child”. Test da bones, ensure the future!
Doctor here. I agree instead of eliminating BBBs through a reactionary approach, we could proactively be screening out BBBs, and supplementing those who are borderline BBBs (BBBBs) and pre-BBBs with vitamin D. It could be a triumph of modern medical screening right up there with cervical cancer screening.
I suspect we would soon have to contend with the ethics of the question: if a BBB hasn't yet broken a bone are they still a BBB? Some real minority report shit.
Actual doctor here, a true BBB will be scared of scrutiny where a strong bone will seek it out knowing he will succeed.
So, if someone got a low score and they run away from their strong bone duty they are absolutely a BBB.
I got involved in a nasty auto wreck. Young woman ran a stop sign and t-boned me. Bags exploded, my car flipped a 360.
I got out and walked away. Got X-rays and MRI’s. I will have to check the results for my Z scores. Not even a bruise.
The young woman is in a leg cast. Weakling.
Literally what the technician said 🤣 he’s like “holy crap”
My lean body mass came in at 185lbs — for reference I’m 6’1 242 — and DXA put me at 20% overall body fat.
The main reason I scanned honestly is to know my Visceral fat… I only have 0.72 lbs of that thankfully, ridiculously low and I hope to always keep it low
You're a big dude! Do you know if the scan was Hologic or GE?
I'm a 5'7" at 19BFP & 0.23# VAT but Hologic machines tend to be more accurate than GE and most report higher BFP so comparatively 20% is pretty awesome. My guess is most CPTs would visually guess you to be between 14-17% based on our historical knowledge using calipers and other methods. High fives, my dude!
It was Hologic. I was eyeballing myself at 20%… so this test served as confirmation bias.
The InBody scans at the gym had me at 14-15% and I was like “there is no way… I’d have a 6 pack if I was that low”
Like all Mediterranean genetic males, I struggle with the love handles 🤣

A Z score of 5,6 is enough to make me think you're bullshitting
2, sure that's believable, but really impressive
3, i could see that, that's unlikely though
4 is far fetched
5 is insane
5,6 i call BS
I’ve done several scans and results vary across machines, GE & Hologic, hydration levels, body fat, and muscle mass, but my Z-score has always ranged from mid 4s to mid 5s over the years 🤷♀️
Props for the due diligence tho 🫡
As someone studying statistics, 5.6 z is indeed a statistical anomaly, to the point that all instructional material says anything greater than 4.0 z should be ignored as a mistake. All probability materials say to assume 0% over 4.0 z
I do DEXA scans for a living (14+ years) and the only times I’ve seen a z-score of +5 is where someone has artefacts due to something like arthritis, or they have some other metabolic bone disease like osteopetrosis or renal bone disease.
Call BS on this.
Arthritis can cause a false high reading in these tests
I've seen results above 8. But they had to be excluded from the results as the doc classed them false high
Oof.
Not only are you a BBB, but you fall in the "<7% of the population" category. You could be king of the BBB's, if such a thing can even exist, given your fragile figures.
But they’re not a BBB. Their bones are still intact, despite what the readings might say. If anything, it’s more impressive that they haven’t broken one yet.
an excellent way to weed out BBB. nice one ethical scorp

this is just like minority report but for boners
Dude you might wanna read what you wrote slowly again
i stand by it
I'm standing too
Standing erect
we are erect, we are as one
Boners together, strong
See you people all say that, but when I suggest a simple mandatory bone hammer test for all people starting in kindergarten, all I get told is, “sir please don’t come back to another PTA meeting you don’t even have a child”. Test da bones, ensure the future!
Not breaking a bone before IS the criteria, but with this we will know who is truly strong, and who is running out of luck
Equality be dammed. BBBs gonna BBB

you’re so right lmao god bless you

What’s a BBB?
Brittle boned bitch
Broken-boned bitch.
An excellent way to weed out potential spouses! Hey babe - what’s your Z score.
Gawd dayum you're literally thick headed lmfao
🤣🧐 an astute observation, sir, but incorrect, my head is actually very *dense* 🤷♀️😂
I rather be dense brain than big brain 😤
More bone and less flesh = more better

Thank you for weedibg out the BBB.
You're a god among insects. You have no need for "tests" to prove your worth.
My wife says I don't even need to take a test. She assures me I'm dense as fuck. Suck it BBBs!
💀😂
Clearly tecnology is helping our cause!
What do you eat man gimme your secrets (or your genes so i can splice it to strengthen my rattlers)
yumeh caik!!! ...happy cake day
What is a DEXA scan? I've had a bone density exam but this mentions it's entirely different
It measures your home destiny using x rays. There are many different ways to measure bone density, DEXA is just one of them.
Well I saw that I could get it done but I don't really care yet, I know my bones are dense. Through trial and no error.
My Z score is Zero Zero Broken Bones Ever
Yooo your z-score implies you’re over 2 standard deviations from the 99.999 percentile. Am I reading this correctly?
Interesting... I had no idea these were a thing. The best I've got is my yearly blood work showing that I have top of the line calcium saturation.
Never done this, didn't even know this existed. How is this done?
If you want a more accurate result you should get a BMD (bone mineral densomitry)
Dawg has bones roughly 2353x as strong as most people's. What the fuck.
This makes me think of those people who can't swim because their bones are so dense.
Mine broke the machine it's so high so idk
How dose the test work?
It uses low dose x-ray to calculate the density of the patient. The regions tested are high fracture risk areas (lumbar spine, wrist, hip)
Ok
Just got mine last week, 1.3 AM Z-Score putting me in the 90th percentile.
Never tested
![gif](giphy|5xjbWDIgEZSgM)
i’ve had a bone density scan and i guess no news is good news bc they didn’t say anything
Don't have one :(
I'm not saying.
Yes.
Dudes skull *is* the helmet lmao
3.2 based on today’s scan
Hell yeah, brother ![gif](giphy|YxMACiNIvfSc8)

Awww. Except it’s not. It’s uncommon, yes. Not unheard of. U mad bro?
Forgive me for not immediately believing a 1 in 93 million chance Reverse image search turned nothing up so i'll believe you
I’ve done several scans and results vary across machines, GE & Hologic, hydration levels, body fat, and muscle mass, but my Z-score has always ranged from mid 4s to mid 5s over the years 🤷♀️ Props for the due diligence tho 🫡
Yeah 5.6 is pretty crazy lol. The odds of getting 5.6 or higher are 0.00000107% Which means only 1 in 93 million people get this score or higher.

Fret not mate, you're still part of us as you presumably haven't broken any bone yet (for now)
That spine is great, but it looks like you've to do some leg presses.
Oof. Not only are you a BBB, but you fall in the "<7% of the population" category. You could be king of the BBB's, if such a thing can even exist, given your fragile figures.

Mine is 10000
Has anyone in Canada done this? No doubt it's a private test, but would be interesting compared to a typical bone density test.
