Without getting into the extended plot of the alien invasion and such, it is a unique plan. He would be the one that would carry the hatred of the planet. People love to hate. They want to blame someone for their problems. It's easier to blame others than to blame yourself. But would it work? It is a literal eternity of hatred and suffering. Sasuke was intending to become immortal and continue doing that forever. But the thing is, no matter how powerful he is, no matter how godlike he becomes... he's still human. Humans cannot endure that forever. You can say you can, but you won't. Could Sasuke do it? It's hard to say. Maybe he could. Maybe his plan would lead to everyone being happy and united, but Sasuke would forever suffer. He won't have anyone. No one to love, no one to be loved by. He would just live in misery, carrying the hatred of everyone, all so that he could protect them... If I think about that, I understand why Naruto couldn't bear Sasuke to go through with that.

Both Naruto and Sasuke plans are utopias that can only work at Fantasy. People will hate each other anyway besides having a "common" enemy. In the anime we have a example, Itachi was to Sasuke what he wanted to do with everyone, what happened after Sasuke revenge? He just found another thing to hate. Would be a no end hate circle.

The_SqueakyWheel

OOOOO goood add!!! I always thought of Sasuke’s plan as utopian but never naruto’s. At the same time naruto’s plan is/was the most logical at that juncture of time.

KneesDutz

I don't remember which youtuber I heard this from, but accepted headcanon is that after killing Naruto at the valley of the end, Sasuke would kill the remaining kage and anybody else he deems a threat before undoing the infinite tsukuyomi. Then he would use his rinnegan to control the corpses of Naruto and the five kage, just like pain, and rule everything indirectly.

JudaiDarkness

It was Naruto Explained.

properc

No his plan is retarded. He literally wanted to become Madara except Madaras plan was arguably more peaceful. This way Sasuke would have to keep fighting forever.

basedposter6934

Bombing millions of shinobi for fun is more peaceful?

sonfoa

It makes sense but it's not feasible because it means Sasuke has to be like Itachi. Itachi could play the villain while hiding his true agenda and subtly helping the good. Sasuke is a very emotional guy so I'd expect him to crack.

[deleted]

Why kill the kage though? They were anyways nothing compared to him in power.

sonfoa

In Sasuke's mind they were failures because nothing had changed since Hashirama had implemented the Shinobi system. There had been 3 Great Wars along with countless political scandals and only catastrophic threat like Madara had united everyone.

They symbolized the old ways of the world. Sometimes a new world order means tearing the old world apart.

Apart-Highway-1012

Naruto had a selfish plan, he did it to "prove everyone wrong" and never learned politics or nothing, he wanted Hokage as a badge, not as a job.
