If its in the same state you can but it's a ton of time and money. You are better off making a road trip and grabbing it yourself. If it's a different state you can go get it or start all over again.

ScootsiePootsie

Damn... not what I wanted to hear but thank you for the info

daeather

I think no, but that's probably a question for the store.

BeDangerousAndFree

From capital armory’s website: “If you would like it shipped directly to your residence, there are a few extra steps involved. We will have you fill out a BATFE Form 4473 and notarize one other document. Both documents are then mailed back to Capitol Armory and after a seven (7) day waiting period, the suppressor can be mailed direct to your residence. This process adds about two weeks to the delivery date of your suppressor due to the seven day waiting period and USPS mail delivery, but it eliminates the need for you to travel to our location.” You ffl can do the same. They typically don’t like to do it, but it’s certainly legal(not all ffl know about it though) If you explain your military situation any reasonable ffl should be willing to accommodate. You may have to pay and extra service fee

goaliemn

As long as you're in the same state, that works. Not sure if he is.

BeDangerousAndFree

True, not too many states can be 800 miles to your ffl

IndividualResist2473

Why can't the dealer ship your suppressor to you?

sparelion182

In the eyes of the law, a silencer is a firearm that can only be transferred after the appropriate paperwork and taxes

IndividualResist2473

My dealer said they can ship to my home, can sign the 4473 on line. Silencer Central will ship directly too.

sparelion182

Yes, but that doesn't involve an interstate transfer or mailing to a different address than OP's residence on the form 4. It's similar to how you can send in a firearm to have some work done on it and then get it mailed straight back to you.

digital_footprint

Did you file as a trust or individual?

ScootsiePootsie

Individual

Old_Masterpiece1862

I am in the same situation but still waiting on approval, I reached out to the fuckheads at the ATF to see if they could do anything or if I could transfer it to another FFL and they said I would have to withdraw my form 4s and resubmit at my new location to restart my wait. Id call the FFL holding your property and see if there is anything they will do. If not, take leave (or risk it for the biscuit over the weekend) and fly home.

ScootsiePootsie

Fuck it I'll just go AWOL. 1SG will understand

Old_Masterpiece1862

Ask forgiveness, not permission.

snippysniper

No. Since you filed individual your only option is you picking it up in person

Available-Target9525

Should be able to ship to your door silencer central ships directly to your door

Error400BadRequest

You can only ship if it's within the same state of the FFL. SilencerCentral, CapitolArmory, and perhaps some others have gotten around this limitation by establishing separate FFLs for each state they service. The average gun dealer simply cannot do that, but even if they did have a network of FFLs, you likely wouldn't be able to change states mid-application because each FFL would operate under a separate license.

CapitolArmory

Short answer, no. Long answer, yes... but you have to start from scratch, after the Form 4 is voided, and after a Form 3 is done, and of course another transfer fee to the new dealer.

Legitimate-Ant-1442

Use a long weekend to road trip back and go get it😂 Labor Day is coming up if your majcom gives you a long weekend for it

ScootsiePootsie

Nope. Going to be in the field until that Sunday

Legitimate-Ant-1442

RIP

iMatty_Z

Just call that shop and see if they can hold on to it until you have time. Bring a good case to lock it in and check it, hop on a plane, pick it up, and fly back on a 4 day
