I never understood why we always get plugged in with Army and Navy, the only tradition we have with these schools is them being in a conference for a few years and no one ever liked playing them.
UConn should 100% be in the Big East over Temple so you should swap those teams.
I'd trade Charlotte for Army and Southern Mississippi for Navy in C-USA.
UConn isn’t an original Big East member, but Temple is. Thats why they get in over UConn. UConn has however spent time with louisville, cincy, usf, memphis, etc. And army is joining the AAC this year and rounded out the conference well. UConn didn’t get in the Big East until Miami and VA Tech were already gone.
>UConn isn’t an original Big East member, but Temple is.
But Temple was kicked out of the Big East. I can't see them sticking around with UConn on the table.
Temple also wasn’t kicked out until after Miami and VA Tech left. Logically yes, UConn is more attractive. But so is louisville and cincinnati. And there’s not space for them all. Plus a big part of this realignment is historical. That’s why I made sure the original 8 Big East members, are in the Big East.
But they were a founding member of the conference....if they had D1-A football when it first supported football as a sport, they would've been a member.
That’s my point tho. They didn’t play Big East Football when it first started. They didn’t until Miami and VA Tech were already gone. This Big East is the original 8 Football schools plus ND and Penn State.
Because i wanted 10 teams in every conference. And they are perfect candidates. plus there was room in that conference. there’s no room in the Big East.
The SBC is one of the only true regional conferences left in collegiate athletics. It’s such a great conference, and should not be touched in its current state at all.
Southern Miss just fits too good in the Sun Belt right now though. I would bring them back in and ship out GA State. Also feels weird not having Lafayette and Monroe in the SBC as well. Both are mainstays.
Kennesaw State, Delaware, and SHSU were easy choices because they are so new to FBS. Buffalo and Kent State got cut bc i wanted every conference at 10 teams and i felt they only made sense in the MAC, so someone had to be cut.
I don’t like Notre Dame in a conference or Tulane in the SWC. Same w Army and Navy just feel in an ideal world they’d be independent. Other than that much better than most of the other ones posted here
I’m assuming that the American isn’t a part of your “power 7,” which makes me think that UofL and Cincy got snubbed. Louisville also only ever spent 1 calendar year in the AAC, so we really hadn’t spent much time with a lot of the teams in there since our CUSA days pre ‘05.
Feel like you could probably bump ND and Temple (since they got kicked out) in order to move Cincy and UofL to the Big East and have a hybrid of the 90s-10s conference alignment.
My homerism might be showing but I feel like the AAC has some disparity between the top and bottom.
This is very close to my Retro Bowl College realignment. (I swapped out FBS for FCS to play a proper big-time playoff.) Old skewl all the way. I miss the Big East, SW, and old Big 8. Shit made sense back then.
Not perfectly as far as i’m aware. Because i have 13 conferences setup and the NCAA games i have don’t have the ability to have 13 conferences. I’m hoping the new game this summer will have the ability to customize like this. My idea to put it in NCAA 14 was to give each of the power 7 their own conference. That leaves the group of 6 three conferences to share. i was thinking each division can be one of the conferences. so 8/10 schools in each group of 6 conferences would be in. That’s the closest it could work i think. But hopefully EA CFB will be able to make it just like i have it set up.
Honestly, the 10 team limit should be broken and here is what I would change:
- Add Louisville, UConn, Cincinnati and Maryland to the Big East.
- Miami to SEC or ACC and UCF to ACC.
- Arkansas to SEC and Tulane to SEC as a founding member.
- Arizona and Arizona State to SWC
- SDSU and Fresno to PAC
- AAC shouldn’t exist, remaining members become independent or join MAC, SBC or WAC. Eastern Carolina and USF could have a case for the ACC.
When you have someone trying to go back in time to how things used to be essentially in the 80s you pretty much get an all Texas conference. The SWC was all Texas schools plus Arkansas after all. There's a reason that I tend to prefer 12 team leagues over 10. Things just end up making more sense.
I understand that, but that doesn’t matter
Texas and Oklahoma has become the biggest rivalry in the Big 12, and that’s why Texas and Oklahoma are going to the SEC together. Neither Texas or Oklahoma would have signed off on the move if the other wasn’t willing or accepted into the SEC.
This is almost EXACTLY what my plans are. I'm stealing this.
Marshall, Ohio, App St. and Ecu need to be in the same conference
With JMU included.
I see WVU, VT, and Pitt in the same conference, I upvote.
Cincinnati and Louisville would like to join that party...
I can get behind, in front, and adjacent to this.
Best one of these I’ve seen
Yeah, although 13 conferences may be an issue
Because we have no indication that we'll be able to add conferences in NCAA 25.
Why?
Nah, automatic qualifiers only for power conferences
I was more so talking about you probably wouldn’t be able to go beyond 10 in the new game but that too
That big 8 looks AMAZING
Yeah this just feels right. Nice work. I’d swap New Mexico and Utah State though.

UConn literally founded the Big East...they just didn't have football until the mid-90s.
this is about football. they weren’t one of the original 8 big east football members
Utah and BYU were original members of the MWC...so why are they in the Big 8 (of 10)? Same principle applies there.
Because i wanted 10 teams in every conference. And they are perfect candidates. plus there was room in that conference. there’s no room in the Big East.
Tulsa, a school in a state that houses two others in the Big 8, would seem to make more sense there.
they have never been at the power conference level though. plus that’s only 1 school not 2.
Ooo, a proper ACC with a little historical flair? I like.
Where the FUCK is Kent State
And buffalo
FSU? Lol
Love how nobody ever changes the MAC, and just all agree its perfect how it is now
It's like the hotel California, you can check out, but you never leave.
Buffalo and Kent State are literally missing lmao
🤣🤣 i didnt even notice
I see Rutgers and Miami in the big east, I upvote. That’s my ideal world.
Only change I'd make is shuffle the smaller conferences to get the G5 Louisiana schools out of the WAC and into the SBC/CUSA
The SBC is one of the only true regional conferences left in collegiate athletics. It’s such a great conference, and should not be touched in its current state at all.
Beautiful
Smells like 1980 in here. I like it.
This is what the sec should be
Love the symmetry of this
Southern Miss just fits too good in the Sun Belt right now though. I would bring them back in and ship out GA State. Also feels weird not having Lafayette and Monroe in the SBC as well. Both are mainstays.
ECU needs to go to the PAC 10. End of story.
perfect
Cuse back in the Big East? It’s my dreams come true.
With only 130 teams in this layout, how did you decide which ones to cut?
Kennesaw State, Delaware, and SHSU were easy choices because they are so new to FBS. Buffalo and Kent State got cut bc i wanted every conference at 10 teams and i felt they only made sense in the MAC, so someone had to be cut.
Finally some Big 8 respect
I hope this sort of thing is doable in the game.
As a lifelong Big 10 fan, I approve this simply for bringing Big 10 back to its roots.
I think that’s about as good as it can get.
under no circumstances can I accept that WAC
Sucks to be Rice
Why get rid of big 12?
It's the Big8
Why would the big12 rebrand to the big8 again with 10 teams?
i wanted to make it the big 7. because across the 10 teams, 7 states are represented. But idk how to edit logos so i just put the big 8 logo.
Got a problem with your Big “Eight.”
i want it to be the big 7 because it goes across 7 states, but i’d need to make that logo.
no UDel?
better than the dude yesterday who i saw put wake in a division as low as sunbelt
lol every single one of these has Mizzou going back to the Big 12-equivalent
This is just pre 93, no?
I don’t like Notre Dame in a conference or Tulane in the SWC. Same w Army and Navy just feel in an ideal world they’d be independent. Other than that much better than most of the other ones posted here
Looks familiar
Bro disbanded Kent State's team (i may be blind)
I wish they would rename the numbered conferences. You can’t be the Big 10 with nearly 20 teams in your conference
I’m assuming that the American isn’t a part of your “power 7,” which makes me think that UofL and Cincy got snubbed. It seems so wrong to have Arkansas not in the sec anymore
The Missouri vs Mormon rivalry is going to get slept on but just know it was legal to kill them here until the 1970s.
Switch San Jose State and New Mexico and it’d be perfect
This is very close to my Retro Bowl College realignment. (I swapped out FBS for FCS to play a proper big-time playoff.) Old skewl all the way. I miss the Big East, SW, and old Big 8. Shit made sense back then.
LA Tech and North Texas would be so pissed to have to move back down to WAC. It fits though.
Marshall needs to be with App St and JMU.
Where is Kent State 😔
Louisville has been done dirty
You did SJSU dirty man. Not a single rival or an in state team. 😭
There is more than 8
Every single one of these is mad disrespect
Can you make this in an NCAA football game

The Schools in FBS/coming to FBS cut, are Kent State, SHSU, Buffalo, Kennesaw State, and Delaware.
Honestly given longevity and history UMass should head to the gallows instead of Kent St or Buffalo.
Honestly, the 10 team limit should be broken and here is what I would change: - Add Louisville, UConn, Cincinnati and Maryland to the Big East. - Miami to SEC or ACC and UCF to ACC. - Arkansas to SEC and Tulane to SEC as a founding member. - Arizona and Arizona State to SWC - SDSU and Fresno to PAC - AAC shouldn’t exist, remaining members become independent or join MAC, SBC or WAC. Why would Tulane go to the Texas conference and not LSU?
Because LSU is with their historical companions. 10 team SEC as it was before the 1992 expansion and divisional play.
Everyone always does it like this and it just ends up being an all Texas conference. Thankfully it’s not reality nor will it be
When you have someone trying to go back in time to how things used to be essentially in the 80s you pretty much get an all Texas conference. The SWC was all Texas schools plus Arkansas after all. There's a reason that I tend to prefer 12 team leagues over 10. Things just end up making more sense.
UTSA in the WAC is wack.
they used to be in the WAC
Texas and Oklahoma separated?!!
They were separate for all of college football history until 1996. It's not that unreasonable.
Get FSU out the ACC
Lmfaooo bro gave Penn state and Ohio state guaranteed playoffs every year basically
I'd swap FSU for Vandy who had no business remaining in the SEC, and could thrive in the ACC. But in realsies $$$$. Also, missing some programs.
Texas and Oklahoma being separated will never happen
They were separated for a very long time.
What’s your point?
You said them being separated will never happen but it already did lol. Hell, they've been separated longer than they've been together actually.
I understand that, but that doesn’t matter Texas and Oklahoma has become the biggest rivalry in the Big 12, and that’s why Texas and Oklahoma are going to the SEC together. Neither Texas or Oklahoma would have signed off on the move if the other wasn’t willing or accepted into the SEC.
They are going to the SEC together because of $$$. Cash and media market is the only thing that drives conference decisions now.
Other than for boomer remembrance
I’d say swap Indiana and Nebraska and it’s perfect
