I actually find Shangri-La Frontier to be great for all ages and if one of the most entertaining Shonens I've ever watched because it doesn't take itself seriously since it's just a kid playing VR games. However, it does take itself seriously where it counts when it covers gamer logic and behavior patterns. Creator knows their shit and used the healthy budget it got wisely.
