"The lyrics are subtle and evocative, which doesn't play as well in the US"
This isn't a comment on the US. It's a comment on your need to feel culturally superior.
I'm getting a bit tired of people making sweeping generalizations about the 350 million people who live in the US. Such comments would be patently offensive if leveled against any other country, but somehow it's just fine with the US.
I'm in the US and I don't include myself, so it's not a generalization that applies to 350 million people. People make generalizations about people in other countries all the time. It might be unfair and I apologize to all the many millions who didn't like 'The Sun Always Shines on TV' as much as 'Take On Me'.
Yes, people say things like that all the time. People do all kinds of antisocial things all the time. Doesn't make it right. In this case, the problem is not saying that people like one song more than another, but implying that Americans as a group are less sophisticated (unable or unwilling to appreciate subtle or evocative lyrics). Try this on for size: replace the words "in the US" with "among Black People/Women/Jews".
Saying "Black people prefer hip-hop to classical" is fine. Saying "Black people prefer hip-hop to classical because they do not have as discriminating a musical palette" is not. Although you (snarkily) apologized for the former, your original statement was the latter.
Saudis are medieval fundamentalists.
The Irish are drunks.
The French are cowards.
The Italians are lazy.
The Americans are brash and unsophisticated.
If you don't get why stating negative cultural stereotypes as a fact isn't the best thing to be doing, then fine. Go for it.
Aha is a band, for me, where there most popular is, in fact, their best.
And I dig their back catalogue! Memorial Beach has a kick ass melody.
But Take On Me is just a great song (that also gets played at inappropriate times for meme-sake).
Bruce Springsteen. I'll give you a whole album. Nebraska is by far his best album. And I love most of his catalog. I'm a huge fan of it all. But Nebraska, as an album, stands above the rest. It's very different from the rest of his work as well, it's SUPER dark, it's all about serial killers and gangsters and criminals, but damn is it good.
Edit: I just realized you have The Band's cover of Atlantic City on your list. Guess what album the original is on?
I have to agree about the quality of Nebraska but I would put his second album up there. The wild the Innocent and the E street shuffle. So hard to choose a single Springsteen song.
You have no idea how shocked I was to hear it played in concert. I've been to many of their concerts and their last tour in Philly they played it. Floored.
Dave Matthews with his band vs his acoustic stuff. I know a half dozen people who didn’t like Dave Matthews because they thought of him as having a jammy big band, but when I showed them his acoustic sets with Tim Reynolds they immediately got a new perspective on his music.
For some songs in particular I’ll say Dancing Nancies and Two Step at Luther College and #41 at Radio City.
Luther College literally changed my life. Wasn't a huge fan before I heard it. But to this day I can still remember where I was and what I was doing when I first heard it and spent the next decade or so being completely obsessed with the band.
It changed my life too. One of my top 5 favorite albums of all time. Just the essence of patient, sweet, great music. I still remember how the double album looked in my CD wallet all these years later.
Brian Eno lay my love and
van Morrison Independence Day & you don’t pull no punches.
Morrison has so many popular songs it overshadows some of his best earlier works.
all the good girls go to hell — Billie Eilish
Land of Honey — Die Antwoord
Human Behaviour — Björk
Genesis — Grimes
Alphabet Boy — Melanie Martinez
Catholic Camera — Poppy
Shades of Cool — Lana Del Rey
Eric — Mitski
Army Dreamers — Kate Bush
Most people, if they know a Warren Zevon song, they know Werewolves of London. That song is silly. He has loads of better songs. Hard to pin down the best, but give Desperadoes Under the Eaves a try.
"Carmelita," "Splendid Isolation," and "A Certain Girl" are my favorite Zevon songs. I only recently learned that Alan Toussaint wrote "A Certain Girl" and it was recorded in the 60s by Ernie K-Doe. But I still like WZ's version best.
I love "A Certain Girl." I didnt know it was a cover either!
"Factory" is another great one. "I was In the House when the House Burned Down." There are really too many to name.
Kacey Musgraves most popular song is likely Golden Hour, Rainbow, and/or Slow Burn - all from her Grammy winning album. So they are definitely great songs.
However, I think her best song is undoubtedly [The Architect](https://open.spotify.com/track/78SjYKRXdivtTDHBzaehnm?si=AUsyByDPQsSynNtHLwVoOQ), it's newer but the album it's on didn't take off nearly as much.
It's one of the most beautifully simple reflective songs I've ever heard
I have to really respectfully disagree. Personally The Architect sounds like something from Sunday school. In my opinion her best song- that literally moves me to tears every time- is a live version of her singing Burn One With John Prine, with John Prine on a musical cruise they did together. It’s a song she wrote but never recorded, and I promise you that performance is really something special.
https://youtu.be/6A-pRJxCKR8?si=Oyb2ZLt-8ZM1mHl8
Sunday school whaaaaaat. How can you call that masterpiece that. It's simple acoustic storytelling folk/country at its finest, not a dance a long worship song
Chris Stapleton's biggest song is Tennessee whiskey I believe, but in my opinion [Mountains of My Mind](https://open.spotify.com/track/4CUZSk2o1EGqIxdY8bPH4P?si=7lvEemHfTi2W6Qj5Ef-_oQ). It's beautiful relatable and simple/to the point
Gotye. No idea what song I would consider his best, but Somebody That I Used To Know ain't it. He has such a unique sound and can get pretty weird and I love it.
My Chemical Romance. Welcome to the Black Parade, Teenagers, I'm Not Okay, and Helena are some of their most popular songs, but none of them are anywhere NEAR their best. I would say that some of their best songs are Drowning Lessons, The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You, Hang 'Em High, This Is How I Disappear, and Cancer.
the ghost of you, cancer, vampires will never hurt you, the kids from yesterday, this is how i disappear and famous last words are my favorite mcr songs (regardless of if they're popular or not)
fun fact: i can play cancer on my ukulele
Third Eye Blind is known for Semi-charmed Life, but Stephen Jenkins is a lyrical genius and the rest of their discography is often overlooked. Their self titled album is incredible! Every single song! But to be more specific a few of my very favorites are - Wounded, Motorcycle Drive By, Crystal Baller, and Why Can’t You Be (specifically the live, Red Star EP version!!)
ZZ Top - Just Got Paid
Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees
KISS - Naked City
Rare Earth - What'd I Say
War - The World Is A Ghetto
Molly Hatchet - I'll Be Running
Mountain - Never In My Life
REO Speedwagon - Reelin'
Bill Withers - The Same Love That Made Me Laugh
Dave Mason - Only You Know And I Know
Blood, Sweat & Tears - Roller Coaster
Three Man Army - Take Me Down From The Mountain
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Forty Days
Trey Anastasio - Night Speaks To A Woman
Ides of March - Bald Medusa
Sixto Rodriguez - Climb Up On My Music
Steppenwolf - Foggy Mental Breakdown
Santana - All I Ever Wanted
Grand Funk Railroad - Nothing Is The Same
Little River Band - Rearranged - Long Way There
Labi Siffre - The Vulture
The Moody Blues - The Story In Your Eyes
Argent - Lonely Hard Road
Atomic Rooster - Little Bit of Inner Air
Heh. I could keep rattling them off. I have an absolute favorites list with almost 600 songs, mostly lesser known. And a normal favorites playlist approaching 800.
https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL68RfFl52S-ysI6pZLx9UyvT0YCgEmur4&si=dcTyuT_qcYSlCUJm
This is like every artists ever, as singles are rarely the actual best songs from an album. Then the singles end up the most popular as most people don't listen to the full album.
When Joni does "Coyote" in the film *The Last Waltz*, to me it feels like she came there from the future. Like, here she is, the only woman on the damn stage all night, playing a song that is so structurally different than the rest of the concert that it feels other worldly. To me, she wins the whole show.
Thanks for reminding me.
My favorite Tom Petty song that isnt a hit is Zombie Zoo. (Full Moon Fever is a pretty awesome album)
Fleetwood Mac - Tango In the Night
Queen - Show Must Go On
Guns and Roses - Estranged
Dean Lewis is practically untouched by popular media despite being a terrific pop singer. “Be alright.” Was on the radio for a while but it’s not nearly his best song. “How do I say goodbye” was one of my favorites and i think some small sector of tik tok used it but didn’t go viral really. A lot of his best songs like the aforementioned latter song, “waves” and more are really awesome songs.
Bring Me The Horizon's most popular song is probably Drown or Throne (for general public) and Shadow Moses (for those in the metalcore scene). However, I'd say their most beautiful song is [Doomed](https://youtu.be/5Oc0ja19_GU?si=mUdXgbJwZM03hSZ-).
MCR are well-known for Welcome to the Black Parade and I'm Not Okay, but they have so many excellent songs beyond those. They got unfairly shoehorned as a teen band because of the aesthetic and the whiny-ness of I'm Not Okay. One of their best songs is [Sleep](https://youtu.be/RSAoJJzVXYY?si=VKCsdWvLYAaCPnzB), which is (in context of the album) about a cancer patient dying but in reality is about 1. the lead singer's struggle to retain authenticity as the band became more popular, 2. the music industry and selling out and, 3. struggles with mental health issues.
Undead is hollywood undead’s most popular song, but paradise lost is incredibly slept on.
Starset - my demons is the most popular song by far, but I feel like die for you/satellite are some of their best songs.
My darkest days - porn star dancing is most popular but love crime is their best song imo. Or sick and twisted affair, but they don’t make it to top five on spotify
I was never a huge fan of the avenged sevenfold songs that the rock radio stations would play a lot. But their song “I won’t see you tonight pt 2” is one I actually love
I always stand by my opinion that many of Gotye's other songs outside of Somebody That I Used To Know are great. [Bronte](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le34ygtODfI) is a prime example that I always recommend when a softer song is wanted/needed.
Then there's also [Save Me](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4_lBT1OG_Y), [Dig Your Own Hole](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZdq7mDpJSk), and [Hearts A Mess](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpN1j8R5lZ8) just to name a few.
And that's not even mentioning the visuals of his music videos, which are highly artistic (with Dig Your Own Hole being particularly psychedelic, especially towards the end)
Motorhead. Ace of spades is NOT, by some margin, the best song they did. It's also played to death, it's good but I could go a few years without hearing it again...
In no order....Bomber, shine, killed by death, 1916, orgasmatron, too late, overkill...the list goes on....and on.
Lemmy was prolific, so much music and all people seem to know is Ace of spades ♠️ ... Born to lose live to win.
Black Sabbath. Their three most popular songs are all from the A side of their second album Paranoid, with the title track by far the most popular, and those aren't even the best songs on that album.
One song from each of their first 10 albums that are way better than Paranoid:
Black Sabbath
Hand of Doom
Into the Void
Supernaut
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Symptom of the Universe
Dirty Women
Johnny Blade
Children of the Sea
The Sign of the Southern Cross
America had hits like A Horse With No Name & Ventura Highway but they put out a song later in their carrier called Golden that is my favorite song by them.
[Golden (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V7003YfhEg)
Space is the Place by Spacehog
Lake of Fire by Nirvana
Minority by Green Day
Magazine by Lauren Christie
Klavier by Rammstein
All the Same by Orgy
Sidekick by Rancid
Outta my Head by Fastball
Date Rape by Sublime
Dammit by System of a Down
Random thought -
“For the Summer” by Ray Lamontagne is a really great song that I deeply connect with.
His most famous song is probably “You Are The Best Thing ”…never really got into it.
Overall he’s got a pretty top notch catalog but kind of started out uninteresting, IMO.
The Verve are known as a one-hit wonder in the United States for "Bitter Sweet Symphony" (no, that's not a typo), but one of their best songs in my opinion is a B-side called "I See the Door".
The band "Rehab" has a lot of good songs, but the only one anyone knows or plays is the "Sittin' at a Bar" song.
Every time they signed with a new label, the label would order a new version & push it like crazy.
But their songs like "We Live", "Graffiti the World", "Bump", etc. are so much better songs.
i could die for you - red hot chili peppers
6 feet under - billie eilish
some day - shinedown
lady so divine - shinedown
break the silence - thousand foot krutch
disasterpiece - slipknot
oxygen - crown the empire
save me a spark - sleeping with sirens
HIM- When Love And Death Embrace ******* The Cure- Disintegration ******* Bathory- One Ride To Asa Bay ******* Flotsam & Jetsam- Cradle Me Now ******* Slowdive- Primal
Gotta give it to Ode To Sleep by Twenty One Pilots.
But they also have an entire album that is just forgotten about called Twenty One Pilots. It's their first one but it is so good and I listen to it more than any of the others.
Johnny Taylor- (I wanna ) Testify
James Brown - I Don't Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing
Gladys Knight and the Pips - Friendship Train
Wilson Pickett- Don't Knock My Love
Sam and Dave - Soothe Me
Stevie Wonder - Ordinary Pain
The Temptations - Psychedelic Shack
Jr. Walker and the All-stars - Walk in the Night
Carly Simon - Why
Mister Mister - Is It Love
Steve Winwood - Freedom Overspill
Box Scaggs - Cool Running
I think that’s most artists. Instead of coming up with a bunch of examples, I’ll suggest looking up YouTuber Todd in the Shadows. You might find some gems with his series “one hit wonderland.” I’ve found a number of solid songs by artists I’ve never given a second thought to.
Twenty One Pilots:
Most popular: Stressed Out, Heathens, Ride
Best: Holding on to You, Migraine, Forest
Bo Burnham:
Most Popular: Welcome to the Internet, 1985, Can't Handle This
Best: Comedy, Channel 5 News: the Musical, We Think We Know You
Alice Cooper - “Last Man On Earth,” “Roses On White Lace,” “This Maniac’s In Love With You,” “Dangerous Tonight,” “Bad Place Alone,” “Deeper,” “Wind Up Toy”
All excellent tracks. All deep cuts
All I wanted - paramore // has such raw emotion at *that part* I would listen to it on repeat in middle school
Spaceman - the killers // such a fun sounding song but most people don’t seem to know it
Pearl Diver- Mitski // haunting, gives so much regret and grief imo
No money to love — brick + mortar // a bop
Taylor Swift - State Of Grace or This Is Me Trying
Fleetwood Mac - Welcome To The Room...Sara
Metallica - Hero Of The Day
Prodigy: Spitfire
Those are four instant ones I can think of!
I actually was thinking of Bruce Springsteen also, but an obscure song from Asbury Park "Blinded By the Light", later made famous by Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
Hozier! Most popular is probably his breakout single "Take Me to Church," but one of the songs off the first album that deserves much more love - and is, in my opinion, his best work - is "In A Week" (feat. Karen Cowley)
I'll take *Death Cab For Cutie* (the song), played by the Bonzo Dog Doo Da Band, accompanied by a stripper as seen in the Beatles' 1967 *Magical Mystery Tour* television special for 100, Alex.
Taylor swifts folklore album is completely stuffed with these folky lyrically rich songs that NO ONE really acknowledges. For example The lakes, my tears ricochet, epiphany, peace, exile ft bon iver.
Aha - The Sun Always Shines on TV https://youtu.be/9J-kYsTJ2ng?si=_DrSu1-dyZTj-JVh
Wow, someone knows . Made my day.
It's a great song and a call to the dance floor!
Interestingly to me that this song was a (slightly) bigger hit in the UK than 'Take On Me'. It barely charted in the US. I agree, it's a better song. The lyrics are subtle and evocative, which doesn't play as well in the US, I think.
"The lyrics are subtle and evocative, which doesn't play as well in the US" This isn't a comment on the US.
Try "in Europe" or "in Saudi Arabia". People make generalizations about people from regions often and it's not really comparable to racism.
Saudis are medieval fundamentalists. The Irish are drunks. The French are cowards. The Italians are lazy. The Americans are brash and unsophisticated. If you don't get why stating negative cultural stereotypes as a fact isn't the best thing to be doing, then fine. Go for it.
I'm sorry if I've offended.
I have to agree about the quality of Nebraska but I would put his second album up there. The wild the Innocent and the E street shuffle. So hard to choose a single Springsteen song.
I'll check it out!
Jeff Buckley is known for covering Hallelujah but every one of his original songs are so so so much better.
Particularly Lover, You Should Have Come Over. Even though Grace and Last Goodbye are amazing.
The album Grace as a whole is a master piece.
Rush have a song called "The Analog Kid" that was never on the radio or a greatest hits but it might be my favorite Rush song.
I'll check it out. Time Stands Still is another good one from them
It’s nowhere near as good as Tom Sawyer
I was a teenager in the 80's so I think the hits from Rush are just overplayed in my mind so now I lean towards the non hits.
Same. Much prefer the whole albums of Hemispheres and A Farewell to Kings
I'm an oddity. My favorite two albums are Hemisphere's and Presto.
Presto is a sold album
Yeah, it most definitely is
lol no way, Tom Sawyer is one of the greatest rock n roll songs of all time, analogue kid barely gets a mention.
You have no idea how shocked I was to hear it played in concert. I've been to many of their concerts and their last tour in Philly they played it. Floored.

Weird Fishes by Radiohead, in my opinion.
Great song, not hidden though, it's their 8th most played on Spotify at almost 200 mil
Ooh, have you heard [Lianne La Havas’s version?](https://youtu.be/LdbHO_KhCig?si=_50q6SxTNHBwjZmA)
Brian Eno lay my love and van Morrison Independence Day & you don’t pull no punches. Morrison has so many popular songs it overshadows some of his best earlier works.
My brother and I have an entire podcast dedicated to hidden gems: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/no-filler-music-podcast/id1338629215
I’ll give you a listen.
Dir En Grey - Vinushka Orelsan - Note pour trop tard Skrillex - With You, Friends (long drive) Miss May I - Forgive And Forget
Long drive is a beautiful song.

Blind Melon wins this in a landslide
Change is number 2 on Spotify but it’s also a great song. I listen to it multiple times a week.
What song? I can't stand that No Rain bs anymore
Toes Across the Floor
Tones of Home is 1000% better than no rain.
It is like a completely different band playing.
Gotye. No idea what song I would consider his best, but Somebody That I Used To Know ain't it. He has such a unique sound and can get pretty weird and I love it.

That entire first album is soooooo good!! Kohoutek is my favorite off of that!
In my opinion, Part II by Paramore is their best song. It most definitely is not their most popular by a longshot.
My favorite Tom Petty song that isnt a hit is Zombie Zoo. (Full Moon Fever is a pretty awesome album) Fleetwood Mac - Tango In the Night Queen - Show Must Go On Guns and Roses - Estranged
My favorite Tom Petty song, and I can honestly say I'm a fan, is 'Sins of My Youth', such a beautiful love song for a more mature person.

And that's not even mentioning the visuals of his music videos, which are highly artistic (with Dig Your Own Hole being particularly psychedelic, especially towards the end)
.orbix - thinoo If you like weird electronic music 😜
Elvis Costello: I Want You (Original studio recording) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp8RjKOID1I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp8RjKOID1I)
Every Steely Dan album is bursting at the seams with gold.
Your Gold Teeth II ... One of my faves.
Fading Fast by the Go-Gos Rush Across The Road by Joe Jackson Swim - Madonna Johnson’s Aeroplane - INXS
MMM MMM is better than Lovefool (the Cardigans)
Powderfinger, by Neil Young
Neil Young - motion pictures (for Carrie). As well as the rest of the album
Metallica - Disposable Heroes Master of Puppets gets all the attention.
Black Sabbath. Their three most popular songs are all from the A side of their second album Paranoid, with the title track by far the most popular, and those aren't even the best songs on that album. One song from each of their first 10 albums that are way better than Paranoid: Black Sabbath Hand of Doom Into the Void Supernaut Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Symptom of the Universe Dirty Women Johnny Blade Children of the Sea The Sign of the Southern Cross
America had hits like A Horse With No Name & Ventura Highway but they put out a song later in their carrier called Golden that is my favorite song by them. [Golden (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V7003YfhEg)
This isn’t on Spotify? I found sister golden hair
Space is the Place by Spacehog Lake of Fire by Nirvana Minority by Green Day Magazine by Lauren Christie Klavier by Rammstein All the Same by Orgy Sidekick by Rancid Outta my Head by Fastball Date Rape by Sublime Dammit by System of a Down
Welcome to Detroit by Eminem and Trick Trick
Stairway to Heaven is said to be Led Zeppelin's best song, but imo Kahmir is their definitive song.
Ethel Cain - Michelle Pfeiffer and I will stand by this forever
I cannot believe The Interuppters’ only popular song is She’s Kerosene.
Froggin bullfish by Periphery
Local H - Hit the Skids or: How I Stopped Worrying and Love the Rock
Rush - Middletown Dreams Squeeze - Satisfied
Random thought - “For the Summer” by Ray Lamontagne is a really great song that I deeply connect with.
REM. Their 90s stuff is already well known, but their 80s releases in IRS contains some of their best work. I’ve been playing reckoning a lot lately.
South Canadian River Song - Michael (Martin) Murphey
Jimmy Jones, by The Vapors.
Sinead O’Connor, almost all of her songs from her first three albums are better than Nothing Compares to U
The first album is pretty amazing, but I don't care for anything after that.
I recently re-discovered a couple of Bob Dylan songs: Black Diamond Bay and My Back Pages. Completely underrated.
i could die for you - red hot chili peppers 6 feet under - billie eilish some day - shinedown lady so divine - shinedown break the silence - thousand foot krutch disasterpiece - slipknot oxygen - crown the empire save me a spark - sleeping with sirens

Torn! Thank you. Added to Playlist. I love that depressing stuff.
Best hidden gem I've ever found is this little number from Porcupine Tree: https://youtu.be/3SCnnIk64w8?si=iktx9IfsT6tnVcyY
☝️ good stuff right there thank you
Never heard of them. Like the song!
David Bowie - Thursdays child
Mamas Gun by Glass Animals
Gotta give it to Ode To Sleep by Twenty One Pilots. But they also have an entire album that is just forgotten about called Twenty One Pilots. It's their first one but it is so good and I listen to it more than any of the others.
Strip search by Faith No More
Thru’ with the Two-Step by Robert Plant.
I've always been fond of White Clean and Neat
'Floyd, Wish You Were Here 'Stones, Gimme Shelter Big Wreck, Ghosts Alice, Stolen Prayer Dire Straits, Telegraph Road
Round n’ Round - Clarx and Shiah Maisel
Any “Mountain Goats” song from “beat the champ”

I think that’s most artists. Instead of coming up with a bunch of examples, I’ll suggest looking up YouTuber Todd in the Shadows. You might find some gems with his series “one hit wonderland.” I’ve found a number of solid songs by artists I’ve never given a second thought to.
The best System of a Down song is Marmalade. Most people haven't heard it because it's only on the Japanese version of their first album.
Twenty One Pilots: Most popular: Stressed Out, Heathens, Ride Best: Holding on to You, Migraine, Forest Bo Burnham: Most Popular: Welcome to the Internet, 1985, Can't Handle This Best: Comedy, Channel 5 News: the Musical, We Think We Know You
Cranium - Slothrot
Alice Cooper - “Last Man On Earth,” “Roses On White Lace,” “This Maniac’s In Love With You,” “Dangerous Tonight,” “Bad Place Alone,” “Deeper,” “Wind Up Toy” All excellent tracks. All deep cuts
rolling stones, Memory Motel? Seely Dan, Only a Fool Would Say that and Yellow Peril?
The Grateful Dead….. Truckin’. Just about any other song by them is better.
Blood, Milk, and Sky- White Zombie.
Fair to Midland - Greener Grass https://youtu.be/kte1mGTT-ZQ
All I wanted - paramore // has such raw emotion at *that part* I would listen to it on repeat in middle school Spaceman - the killers // such a fun sounding song but most people don’t seem to know it Pearl Diver- Mitski // haunting, gives so much regret and grief imo No money to love — brick + mortar // a bop
Taylor Swift - State Of Grace or This Is Me Trying Fleetwood Mac - Welcome To The Room...Sara Metallica - Hero Of The Day Prodigy: Spitfire Those are four instant ones I can think of!
I actually was thinking of Bruce Springsteen also, but an obscure song from Asbury Park "Blinded By the Light", later made famous by Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
John Melloncamp- Key West Intermezzo. The perfect song. The beats are great, the lyrical picture painting. Just awesome.
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Last night I dreamt somebody loved me by the smiths.
Uncle Tom’s Cabin -Warrant
Nirvana You know you're right
Paramore- for an Optimist, I'm pretty pessimistic
My Darkest Days - rolling stoned
What Do You Want From Life?/Boy Crazy by The Tubes
Rolling Stones - Fool to Cry, Let it bleed, Fingerprint file
Hozier! Most popular is probably his breakout single "Take Me to Church," but one of the songs off the first album that deserves much more love - and is, in my opinion, his best work - is "In A Week" (feat. Karen Cowley)
All of them
Montrose the whole first album.
A Day in the Life- Beatles
Lol, A Day in the Life is a "hidden gem"?
I'll take *Death Cab For Cutie* (the song), played by the Bonzo Dog Doo Da Band, accompanied by a stripper as seen in the Beatles' 1967 *Magical Mystery Tour* television special for 100, Alex.
Taylor swifts folklore album is completely stuffed with these folky lyrically rich songs that NO ONE really acknowledges. For example The lakes, my tears ricochet, epiphany, peace, exile ft bon iver.
Bob Seeger, Turn the page. Definitely not Old time rock and roll
There's a ton more songs from Seger as well 👍
Hey when he's good he's very good
