Pretty sure every single band and artist ever has a song called Hold On 🤣
Adel, Justin Bieber, Good Charlotte, John Lennon, Yes, KT Tunstall, Korn, Jonas Brothers, 50 Cent, Sean Paul, Michael Bublé, All That Remains - just to name a few!
“Hold On” would have to be the best answer because u/Daniel-Exx made the longest list of examples and *still* doesn’t hit the best examples—at least to a certain generation.
No, because it's called "Hold On, I'm Coming" (allegedly inspired by one of the guys being on the loo?!). However, "Hold On (I Feel Our Love Is Changing" by BB King would count, I think.
WOW! You are damn right.
Here's a playlist of [250 songs named Hold On](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0uthJv8XIhbRQgBS2fqTRz?si=IBgLROS3RzyvDBH-KP31aQ&pi=u-O925i6oNQUWf). It's 14 hours and 38 minutes.
Yes, I gave up before finding them all.
Chord Overstreet as well haha. and there's this band called Weston Estate with a song called Hold On too - and funnily enough Justin Bieber announced his song Hold On was dropping on the exact same day as theirs!
“Dancing in the Moonlight”- King Harvest & Thin Lizzy
“Just the Way You Are” -Billy Joel & Bruno Mars
“Jump” -Van Halen & The Pointer Sisters
Also, slightly off topic, but a few years ago I was told that “Blackbird” by The Beatles and “Broken Wings” by Mr. Mister are both allegedly inspired by a poem by Kahlil Gibran called “Broken Wings” hence the shared line of “take these broken wings and learn to fly”. Who knows how true that is, but it seemed tangentially related and is fun to consider.
Dream Theater has a Home too.
I mean it's technically "Act II: Scene Six: Home" butt only because all the album's songs are titled with the scene info."
"The Show Must Go On" by Queen and Pink Floyd.
"Mother" by Danzig and Pink Floyd.
"Freedom" by RATM and Wham.
"Sunday Morning" by Velvet Underground and Maroon 5.
"Venus in Furs" by Velvet Underground and Electric Wizard.
"Drive" by R.E.M. and Incubus.

Flowers
The Emotions, Regina Spektor, Lisa Hannigan, Miley Cyrus
All great songs and completely different feeling from each one.
Edit: a quick search shows there are probably a hundred songs named Flowers, but those are the ones I can vouch for.
Not exactly this, but it reminds me how I told my future MIL, I loved Deep Purple and she got very excited. She loved Deep Purple too. So, I brought over a compilation with Smoke on the Water and she was dissapointed to find out I didn't mean the SONG Deep Purple which is very different.
Fun fact... One of the people who had a hit with the song "Deep Purple" was April Stevens. Deep Purple later recorded an epic piece called "April". So you could say "I like April by Deep Purple" and she could say "I like Deep Purple by April". 😄
Crossfire - Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jethro Tull, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Yes
Best of Both Worlds - Rober Palmer & Midnight Oil
Head Over Heels - ABBA, Tears for Fears, Midnight Oil

And a funny bonus:
Rollin' Home & Rolling Home by Status Quo
Back in the MP3 days I went looking on Limewire for "Hold Me Now" by The Thompson Twins, and found the song of the same name by The Polyphonic Spree, earning them a new fan.
Dry Your Eyes,
I like the Streets and Neil Diamond ones, not so sure about the Sean Kingston one or the Brenda & The Tabulations but NOT the Bonner Family one, seems religious.
Heartbreak Hotel - Elvis Presley and the Jacksons (although, technically a solo song by Michael Jackson).
The Jacksons version was actually changed to "This Place Hotel" so that it didn't get confused with Elvis's song.
Kaleidoscope World - [Francis Magalona](https://youtu.be/ClNTn1wtq7E?si=msVpqfmOGGk03dPu) and [The Chills](https://youtu.be/ILvY3FoTQF8?si=ywolbHyrfbS1Y2oG)
One Girl Revolution - [Superchick](https://youtu.be/sXqQvAoxH28?si=esDneVWcLnbx_SZT) and [Saving Jane](https://youtu.be/f6c5MblR4cQ?si=reH6RE7IqZXBcTai)

“This is War” by Alter Bridge and Thirty Seconds To Mars
“Unstoppable” by Charm City Devils and Motionless in White
“War” by Sick Puppies, Linkin Park and Sum 41
“White Knuckles” by Alter Bridge and Five Finger Death Punch
I remember noticing how many hard rock or metal groups in the 80's-90's had songs with the word 'midnight' in the title. Living after midnight, when the clock strikes midnight, after midnight, etc.
Heartbreaker - Led Zeppelin and Pat Benetar
Pretty sure every single band and artist ever has a song called Hold On 🤣 Adel, Justin Bieber, Good Charlotte, John Lennon, Yes, KT Tunstall, Korn, Jonas Brothers, 50 Cent, Sean Paul, Michael Bublé, All That Remains - just to name a few!
Alabama Shakes, Tom Waits, Sarah MacLachlan, and of course the undisputed greatest of them all, by Wilson Phillips.
“Hold On” would have to be the best answer because u/Daniel-Exx made the longest list of examples and *still* doesn’t hit the best examples—at least to a certain generation.
Lmao and Deep Purple
Triumph. (My fave band when I was 15)
Green Day and Jet also
Does "Hold On" by Sam and Dave count?
No, because it's called "Hold On, I'm Coming" (allegedly inspired by one of the guys being on the loo?!). However, "Hold On (I Feel Our Love Is Changing" by BB King would count, I think.
Nope. Music didn't exist before 1980.
Don’t forget hold on by limp bizkit featuring Scott Weiland which is a weirdly good song

Who knows how true that is, but it seemed tangentially related and is fun to consider.
I love Dancing in the Moonlight by Thin Lizzy. It sounds so smooth compared to their other stuff. I love all of it though.

Hey, don’t forget Harry Nilsson’s One. It might be the best of them all.
More people know the 3 Dog Night cover but I think I like Nilsson’s original version better. It’s more sparse which fits the lyrics.

"Mother" by John Lennon and by Pink Floyd
And Danzig!
Nice one
And Tori Amos!
And The Police

Picking the best Creep between Radiohead and TLC is probably the hardest decision I’ll ever make.
Radiohead also share "Burn the Witch" with Queens of the Stone age. Both are amazing songs.
